Amit Sarin
TV actor
"I haven't signed yet for the Indo-US joint venture film but so far everything looks good. I'm to play the lead in it and the film is in Hinglish."
Taf_k > What was the funniest incident that happened on the sets of Kkusum ?
Amit Sarin > There were many. But one that I can recall right away is one where there was a scene which was actually a rehearsal and I was the only one who did it seriously, thinking that it was a shot and the camera was on. The others on the sets just burst out laughing at it!
Jyoti > What's happening to your Indo-US joint venture film, Windows . Are you doing it? How did you get the offer? Is it in Hindi or English? Do you have a plum role in it?
Amit Sarin > The makers are from US though they are Indians. They saw my serial Kkusum . It's popular in the US (among the NRIs). So they approached me. I haven't signed for it yet. I need to get over some more formalities before I do. So far everything looks good. I have a lead role in it. The film is in Hinglish.
Taf_k > Did you want to be an actor ever since you were a child or did it happen all of a sudden?
Amit Sarin > I always wanted to be an actor from the time I realised what I wanted in life. I was in the eighth standard in school when I thought of it.
Joseph > Armed with an engineering degree, why did you decide to join films/TV?
Amit Sarin > I wanted to be educated. My dad wanted me to study well. I happened to get into one of the best colleges in India. I did my engineering from Manipal School of Technology. And I specialised in industrial production.
Destinybabe85 > How was your experience working with Ishaa Koppikar
Amit Sarin > It was very nice. It was my first Hindi cinema experience. Everything was amusing to me. This whole idea of being on that celluloid was great. I cherish it.
Lila > About kumud - will she end up with you or 'Garv?' I wish she ends up with you because you are so sweet!
Amit Sarin > Well, I think you are not watching Kkusum these days.I think your wish is (about to be) coming true.
Wayne_rooney > Amit, whom do you look up to, as an actor?
Amit Sarin > There are so many. Good performance by any actor is an inspiration. But my God (in acting) is Al Pacino.
Grl_18_nyc > Hi Amit. I feel so privileged to chat with you. Anyway, are you married?
Amit Sarin > Nopes!!!!
Taf_k > Is there anything about 'Kshitj' that you don't like?
Amit Sarin > Not as yet, so far.
Reena_canada > Hi Amit! Hope you are doing well! I think you do an awesome job acting as "Kshtij" and "Saahil!" I want to know- are you similar to "Kshtij" in person or the total opposite?
Amit Sarin > "Kshitij" is very, very close to Amit Sarin.
Taf_k > If you get a really good offer from other production houses, will you leave the Balaji unit?
Amit Sarin > I will cross the bridge when it comes. It's too early to say!
Uma > There's a lot of activity happening off screen with the Kkusum 's star cast. Manasi may leave the serial and Narayani has already quit. Is it affecting you guys as a unit?
Amit Sarin > tends to miss them, as we all work for so long together and so there is a bond between actors.
Rahul > Hi, do you have a Manoj Bajpai fixation? Even in your pictures you tend to look like him? Are you copying him?
Amit Sarin > (Laughs!) He is a great actor. Wish I can take a leaf out of his book!!!
