Anjali took out the small towel from the closet to wrap the baby. She was getting the baby ready for their check up. Baby had to get one vaccination done for which she got an appointment today.

"Anu baby will be wearing a chweet pinky dress today." She giggled with the baby's smile and started to wear the frock.

Madhumati entered the room clearing her saree creases as she is ready to go with Anjali.

Madhumati : Anjali.. shall we leave ? Its getting late now.

Anjali :haan Mumma.. Let me just wrap this towel over Anu.

Their attention was diverted towards the door when Shyam entered into the room talking on his mobile.

Shyam : Yes. Doctor..we will be there in some minutes. Bye.

Anjali was perturbed to find him at this point of time that too when she had to go out to the hospital.

Shyam : Rani Sahiba. Are you ready? Good.. is my little Pari ready too?

Shyam moved towards his daughter and took her from the cot lovingly kissing her forehead and talking to her. Madhumati felt happy seeing the little family so close especially her son in law who was showing so much love towards his wife and daughter.

Anjali : But where are you asking us to get ready?

Shyam : to the hospital. Don't you remember you have a check up and our pari has a vaccination today?

Anjali was stunned to hear so much information about this from Shyam as she least expected him to get reminded of her day to day activities. She got reminded of those bitter memories when she had to go to the doctor for check up with her sisters even after immense persuasion asking him to accompany her. Is this a wave of change from him she thought?

Madhumati : Arre wah.. Now since Shyam babua has come, he will take you both to the hospital. Consider yourself lucky Anjali.. you have got such a loving husband who remembers each and everything about you.

Anjali passed a sarcastic smile at the comment and stared at Shyam. He seemed to be unaffected by her stare and looked at her lovingly as if to prove a point.

Shyam : What are we waiting for ? Shall we make a move?

Anjali tried to deny him but her mother's happy face did turn the thought down as she was sure her mother won't be pleased with her denial. She faked a nod and followed Shyam who carried his daughter in front talking to her.

At hospital he was walking frantically inside the room when they took her inside with his daughter in his arms.He slowly made the baby to sleep and it came as a shock to Anjali who could feel him showing a much more desperation than before. He barged into the room as soon as doctor called him inside after checking Anjali.

Shyam : Is everything ok Doctor?

Doctor : She is perfectly fine Mr.Raizada.. Don't worry about her health. She has continue these iron supplements and have good nutritious food for lactation that's all.

Shyam : Thank you Doctor. I am really feeling relieved to know Anjali is fine.

Anjali looked at him with awe to search his eyes that did show some truth in his words. Still the words felt so flattering that she didn't want her mind to get carried away for his fake temporary affection display.

Shyam : Ok doctor. Let me take our daughter to the pediatrician. She has a vaccination today.

Doctor :Take care Mr.Raizada. Don't worry about your precious people. They both are fine.

Anjali : Bye Doctor.

Shyam : Thank You Doctor. Bye.

Shyam took baby in his shoulder and started walking. She came out of the room and stopped him.

Anjali :Give me the baby.. I can hold her now.

Shyam: No.. you must be tired. Its not time that you get recovered. You walk with me. I shall hold our pari.

Anjali :Enough.. aren't you showing a bit too much now days? She whispered with a glaring eyes.

Shyam smirked with a flirty smile.

Shyam : SO what.. I am not showing it off to anyone else. My wife and daughter deserves more than this affection being shown off.

He moved towards the Pediatrician leaving behind a confused Anjali who was really getting dizziness. Was he the same person who hated to see her before? Was he telling her how she deserved his affection ? She couldn't believe her eyes or ears.

Doctor took out a syringe and asked Anjali to hold baby's thigh. Shyam was feeling so irritated to hear his daughter's cry when they tried to hold her thigh in position to inject.

Shyam closed his eyes in pain when the baby started to cry in high pitch.. Anjali was trying to pacify her.

Shyam : Doctor you are hurting my baby. Please..

Doctor :Mr.Raizada control yourself. Its normal. We do know to inject babies properly.. Please you could have better stayed out if you had so much problem.

Anjali sighed in irritation as he was just overreacting to situations. She tried to console the baby by rocking in her shoulders while he snatched the baby and protected inside his arms.

Shyam : Kuch nahin.. Meri Pari ko kuch nahin hua.. He started caressing the baby's back by rocking her to sleep. Anjali couldn't relieve herself from this shock since morning. She wanted to ask him clearly what his intention was but decided to ask it outside the hospital. They got some prescription for the baby and got outside the hospital while she stopped him before his car.

Anjali :What are you upto ? What are you trying to prove?

Shyam : Anjali.. Please. I am not trying to prove you anything or this world. Its true from my heart. I love my daughter and wife and I have every right to do that. You are denying that fact.. Please understand me too.

Anjali: Just because you accompanied your daughter and wife to hospital, showering love to your daughter doesn't make you a good father to her or a good husband to me. Where were you when I needed you by my side during pregnancy ? Where was this love and concern when I wanted you the most? When I was feeling my baby inside kicking I wanted you to feel it? Did you ever bother? You faked your concern and love at that time. You were behind lust and money.. Now when does this new love and affection crop up? What assurance do I have that your love wont change again according to season. Don't just pretend to be good Mr. Shyam Raizada.. I have lost trust in you.. And its difficult to regain it back especially when you had eyes on my sister before our marriage. That shows the cheapness in you.

Anjali blurted out in anger making Shyam gulp in fear hearing her words. She snatched the baby from his arms and took the passenger seat. He stood frozen on spot hearing such truth about himself which proved him to be a mirror to himself. He closed his eyes in pain and moved towards the driver seat. Both of them remained silent through out the journey to Gupta House. He dropped her and left the place without uttering a word which made Anjali cry. She knew he was guilty and he knew she was in pain. Both of them had to come in terms only with the help of this child.

Akash took his seat opposite the couch where Manohar and Manorama was sitting.

Akash : Papa, Mama. I want to talk to you for sometime.

Manohar : Bola beta. .what happened?

Akash : Voh.. I am thinking of taking Payal to Shimla for some days for a holiday. Its been a long time I took a break.

Manorama : What ? Holiday ? But why now?

Akash : Just like that Ma. I was planning this long back. Infact if bhai hadn't given me this idea I wouldn't have thought about it.

Manorama : oh its your bhai's idea or your biwi's idea?

Akash : No Ma. I haven't told Payal yet. I thought I would surprise her.

Manohar : But beta.. Now that NK is also not there. ...

Akash : Don't worry papa. Shyam Bhaiyya will handle everything.

Manohar : Shyam ? No.. I shall take care ...

Akash :No papa. He really is working hard now a days. I can feel a change in him after Anu is born. I seriously want him to get a chance to prove himself papa.

Akash pleaded at Manohar who was lost in thoughts. He too noticed a small transformation in Shyam but wasn't really sure of what was in his mind. If Akash had so much of confidence then he had to be given a chance Manohar thought.

Manohar : If you say so beta. So when is the plan ?

Manorama : arre.. What is the need for it? I don't have anyone at home to help me. I cant leave Payal.. Now since Anjali also not there.

Manohar : Shut up Manorama. Let the kids enjoy. Its time for them to have some enjoyment. You have enough maids here for your assistance and Nandini for your company..

Manorma wasn't interested in the plan but looking at Manohar supporting Akash she couldn't resist anymore.

Akash : Thanks Papa.. Mumma.. its for one week only. We shall be back soon.. Don't worry.

He said happily by kissing them showing his happiness. Manohar was elated to see his son's happiness while Manorama shrugged her shoulders in irritation.

It was actually very unusal for Lavanya to know that Arnav was not answering her call. She was driving to Raizada House but as getting the papers signed by Arnav was important she couldn't think of going home without meeting him at his place. She had dialed Arnav many a times and was still doing the same now while driving.

Lavanya(To herself): Come on Jeeju, pick up the phone. Whats wrong with him? Today he left from work very early and now not even answering any calls? Is he Okay?

She cut the call and parked the Car inside the gates of his house. She got down and then one of the maid who came there for cleaning purpose opened the door.

Lavanya: Where is Jeeju?

Maid: Sir must be in his room Madam. I didn't see him since 2 hours.

Lavanya: Room? Okay. Thanks.

The maid left and Lavanya rushed to Arnav's room. She knocked the door but no one answered though the door was slightly open already.

Lavanya: Jeeju?? Are you there ?? Jeeju??

Not finding any reply she walked in and was shocked to see Arnav lying on the COuch unconscious. She rushed to him and instantly patted his cheeks but he was burning with fever.

Lavanya: Gosh. Jeeju? Jeeju?

SHe immediately sprinkled some water on his face and he was trying to come back to consciousness but all in vain. He had no energy in him and he couldn't even stand.

Lavanya was very scared. She screamed for the maid to come upstairs immediately and with her help she put Arnav on the bed and covered him with the Quilt. She dialed the Dr and asked him to come as soon as possible to Arnav's house and then the only thing she could remember next was calling Khushi. She dialed her. After almost 4 rings Khushi answered. She was sstill at office working.

Khushi: Haan Lavanaya.

Her voice was still dull .

Lavanya: Khushi,Jeeju.. Jeeju fainted. He is unconscious Khushi. Come home.. Just leave everything and come home,

Khushi suddenly got up from her chair in shock

Khushi: What? Arnav? What happened to him?

Lavanya :He is burning with fever Khushi and was unconscious from hours. I am really worried. I have called the Dr. Just come here..

Khushi; haan. Be there Lavanya. I am coming. I am coming. DOnt go. Be there..

She cut the call and rushed with her Car keys forgetting everything else. Arnav was unconscious? And having fever? Didn't he eat properly? Was he even taking his medicines on time? She had so many questions running in her mind but she gave them a break and tried to reach her house as soon as she could.

After some 20 minutes she finally reached her house. A place which she had left unintentionally from past few days since the time she came to know about Arnav and Shalini's past link ups. She didn't think all that at this point of time. She ran inside the House and straight to their room. The Dr was checking him while Lavanya was sitting beside him alone.

Khushi: Arnav?

Tears rolled down her eyes as she saw his face. He was looking so dull and pale.

Lavanya: Thank God you came Khushi. Look what's happened to him.

Khushi sat beside him on the bed and caressed his hair gently.

Khushi: Dr? how is he?

Dr: He is having high fever Mrs Raizada but I have given him some sedative and he will need good rest. I am sure he is not even eating properly. Are you taking care if his diet these days or not?

Khushi felt like slapping herself. How could she act so careless? She was angry on him for hiding so many things from the past from her, but that doesn't mean she would forget her other responsibilities.

Dr: Whatever it is Mrs Raizada. Just be careful and anything else just call me I will be here.

Khushi noded and Lavanya placed her hand on Khushi to assure her.

Lavanya: Dont worry. Such things happen. He needs you here Khushi. Tell Maa and Aunty that you will stay with him now.

Khushi had no reply. She just faked a smile and continued looking at Arnav who was still unconscious. Lavanya waited for some more minutes and then left back to Raizada House.

That whole night Khushi didnt even blink properly. She was only busy in wetting the cloth and placing it on his forehead to get his fever down. He shivered at night and she gave him warmth, he was unconscious but she was still with him in all ways he ever needed her.

How she wished to curse herself for making him land in such a situation. She should have kept a check if he was eating properly or not. SHe failed in such an important duty of a wife. She was crying in between but the only solace she got was when she leaned her head on his palm and felt asleep early morning.

Morning

She woke up when she found his fingers moving and she immediately opened her eyes and sat on the bed. He was making a movement. He was getting up. He opened his eyes and the first person he saw was his wife. He felt he was dreaming her, hallucinating her. But when she helped him sit on the bed with his back touching the headboard, he realized all this was real. She was real. He knew he was unconscious last evening.. And he also knew Lavanya and the maid helped him come back on bed . So probably Lavanya informed Khushi and she came here. But why? Why did she care if he was even alive?

She passed some water to him to drink but he ignored. His eyes were still heavy and so was his head. She realized that and then started rubbing his forehead while he moved her fingers away

Arnav: DOnt do all this. I am fine.

Khushi moved aside. The maid came in with some breakfast and placed it on the side table.

Maid: Anything else Maam?

Khushi: Just get the thermometer.

Maid walked to the drawer and got the thermometer and handed it to Khushi and then left. She brought the thermometer toward his lips asking him to open his mouth and hold it beneath his tongue.

Arnav: I am fine Khsuhi. You dont need to bother for me.

Khushi: (Angrily): I know that. But being your wife I have to fulfill some basic needs of yours.

Her face clearly revealed she was still angry on him. But why? Why was she acting like this.? Today he would get all the answers from her no matter what?

She placed the Thermometer inside his mouth and he had no option but to be quiet.After some seconds she took it out and checked his fever. It had almost gone. She was relived. He pulled Khushi's wrist to make her fall on his chest making her wince in pain with the pressure. There was a small spark in his tired exhausted eyes fixing it with her teary red eyes which spoke volumes. He understood something was bothering her. Nothing should be left as an obstacle in their smooth relationship which he wanted to clear it then and there but something did bother him so much that he sat on his bed with utmost difficulty due to the over burdened health exhausted due to his illness. He clutched her arms close to his heart staring at her eyes intently.

Arnav : Aisa bhi kya hua hai Khushi ki tum ek smile bhi nahi kar sakti? ( what happened so much Khushi that you cant even smile?)

Khsuhi stared in his eyes for some seconds. So now he was out of control.? He wanted to know why she lost her smile?

Khushi: Kyon ki iss baar aap humaari Hasi Khareed nahi paaye, (Because this time you could not buy a smile for me )

He was dumb still and so much confused that he couldn't wait to pounce in anger on her.

Arnav: What the hell are you talking about Khushi? Be clear. Sometimes I cant understand what you want to tell me..

Khushi; Sometimes? No Arnav. Its always like that. I had thought these few days distance between us will make you know why I am behaving so odd. But I guess you dont wish to think about your old Crimes!!

Arnav : Crime?

Khushi; Yes Crime Arnav. The crime of hiding from your wife that you had a Physical relationship with your Ex Fiancee.. With Shalini..!!

Arnav froze. His grip on her wrist loosened and she pulled back herself from him.

Khushi: Yes Arnav. Sadly I have come to know every truth that you hide from me till now.Even the real reason of our marriage. Shyam Jeeju, you married me so that he doesn't get a chance to ruin us right? In terms of money and power? That was still alright. But the other truth is indigestible.

Arnav gulped and was still thinking who told her all this.

Arnav:Khsuhi.. Let me explain.

Khushi (Moving back): Explain? What else will you explain me Arnav ? I have seen that Picture of yours and Shalini on her bed. How sick I felt that time to see you with her in such a compromising position.

Arnav's anger hit to a level of control when he got a hint from his wife who made her aware of all this. So SHalini told her? Who else could he expect to do this? She was the only one who was behind his marriage life these days.
