Yes Boss: Part 23 Asad peeped outside his cabin cautiously, breathing a sigh of relief when he found no one there. He walked out of his cabin confidently and made his way towards the pantry to get another cup of coffee. He'd noticed since morning that one of the guys from the finance department kept hanging around outside his cabin, watching him in an unnerving way every time he happened to look at the glass door. He even asked the guy if he needed something, but the guy just said he was checking stuff out. Finally he had to yell at him to get him back to work.
Asad walked back to his cabin, armed with coffee, hoping to finish up one last piece of work before taking a break for lunch. When he pushed his cabin door open, he almost dropped his coffee mug in shock. That guy again! He was sitting casually on Asad's desk like it was the most normal thing to do.
"What the hell! Maine aapse tab bhi poocha tha, if you have any work with me. And now you're sitting here on my desk without my permission? Yeh kaisi badtameezi hai!" Asad shouted at the man, who remained unfazed. Instead, a slow smile crept up his face.
"Aisi bhi kya naraazgi? Chalo theek hai, may I sit on your desk Sir?" the man asked playfully, making Asad's eyes widen in disbelief. Was this man for real? He took a step forward and grabbed the guy by his collar, pulling him off the desk.
"No you may not. Now please go back to work and stop bothering me, or I will fire you," Asad huffed, pointing at his cabin door whilst glaring at the man. The man pouted unhappily, as he lifted both his arms in the air as a sign of surrender.
"Relax dude. If you already have a boyfriend, you could just tell me calmly. There's no need to get so worked up," the man complained, rolling his eyes as he began to walk to the door himself. Asad stared at his back with his mouth gaping open.
"KYA?! Oh hello Mister, I don't have a boyfriend and I never will! I'm not like... that," Asad clarified, stopping the man in his tracks. He held his breath as he waited for the man to turn around and apologize for his misunderstanding.
"Oh come on, there's no need to keep it a secret anymore. Miss Farooqui already told everyone about your preference for men. Just tell me whether you're available or not, and I'll be on my way," the man replied, tapping his foot on the ground impatiently.
"NO I'M NOT. NOW GET LOST!" Asad practically screamed, making the man jump backwards a little. He rolled his eyes once he'd regained his composure, walking out of the cabin wordlessly. Asad stood there staring at his cabin door, with his fists clenched into tight balls on either side of him. What the hell was wrong with Zoya now?!
Zoya stared at Anu and Monica in utter horror during lunchtime, completely taken aback at what they'd just told her. It was one thing that they all thought she was in a relationship with Dilshaad of all people, but this was even better. They all thought Asad was gay! That too because apparently she had said so?!
"Allah miyan, what's wrong with all of you! Mr Khan is definitely not gay! When did I ever say such a thing?! You know Anu, after you told me your misunderstanding about me yesterday, I was already pretty shocked. But I didn't tell Mr Khan about it because he'd probably lose his mind if he found out that that's what people were thinking in the office about his mother. So I was just going to clear it up quietly today. But now this is even better! Now I'm totally convinced that Mr Khan will wrap his fingers around my neck and strangle me to death!" Zoya squealed in panic, as she grabbed hold of one of Anu's hands and one of Monica's hands, squeezing them tightly.
"But Zoya, you had said that Mr Khan isn't interested in girls! You said it loud and clear to everyone present here," Anu tried to explain again, as Zoya fell into deep thought to recall her words. She shook her head vigorously, suddenly understanding the problem.
"NO! I meant to say he's no interested in girls LIKE ME! It was to dispel the rumours around office about Mr Khan and I being in a relationship, which by the way, IS ALSO NOT TRUE. None of any of this is true! I have to clarify this now," Zoya said in a panicky tone, as she let go of their hands and began to stand up on her chair. But before she could fully get up, she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist and pull her back down.
"Miss Farooqui, I need to speak to you in my cabin RIGHT NOW," Asad hissed, as he pulled Zoya off the chair and marched her right out of there. Anu and Monica stared worriedly as the two disappeared into Asad's cabin. What was going to happen now?!
"MISS FAROOQUI WHY DID YOU GO AROUND TELLING PEOPLE I'M GAY?!" Asad yelled into Zoya's face as he violently threw her into his cabin, not even waiting for the door to shut behind them. Zoya rubbed her upper arm, as she stumbled to find her balance, looking up at Asad fearfully.
"Mr Khan... woh... main... galatfehmi hai yeh sab! That was not what I had meant to say! I was just saying that you aren't interested in girls like me, but I forgot to add the part about me and the sentence ended at 'not interested in girls'," Zoya explained sheepishly making Asad growl irritably at her.
"I TOLD you not to bother with the rumours! I TOLD you in would go away with time. But who listens to me?! You made a bigger mess now!" Asad shouted again, making Zoya flinch slightly. She bit her lower lip, before taking in a deep breath.
"Well Mr Khan, actually my little speech yesterday somehow gave everyone the wrong impression of me too. Now a bunch of people believe that I'm in a relationship with Phuphi. See, so you're not alone! Mere baare mein bhi sab bakwas kar rahe hai," Zoya added, hoping that it would Asad feel like the damage done to him was not that bad. But she knew it was a wrong move when Asad's blazed with bigger flames.
"AMMI?! Miss Farooqui AAP PAGAL HO! Aur mujhe bhi pagal kardo gi! I need to find a way to get rid of all these rumours now. Seedhe seedhe baat karne se koi fayda nahi hai, that I've already experienced," Asad muttered, as he thought about what to do.
"Yeh accha hai! Jab maine hamare baare mein jo rumours the, usse dispel karne ki koshish kar rahi thi, tab aapne mujhe high school ke baare mein lecture diya tha. And now what are you doing? Why this sudden interest in disproving rumours? Aapko toh farak hi nahi padta na? Ab kya hua? Now live with this Mr Gay Ahmed Khan! Aap gay ho... MMPFH!" Zoya began taunting, but got cut off when Asad suddenly swooped down on her and planted his lips against hers, silencing her.

NOTE:HAHAHA.
Okay on a more serious note, I'm sure you've all read about KSG leaving the show. If Asad's character is replaced by another actor, no matter the reasons, I don't think I will continue watching QH. If they kill Asad off and get another whole new character as Zoya's love interest, I think I will still watch QH.
BUT I still do intend on finishing up this FF no matter what.
That said, I know a lot of others are contemplating whether they wanna continue watching QH or not, or even come to the forum anymore. So that's why I have decided to ask you guys: Are you guys still interested in reading this FF? I have already thought of a way to end the FF in a shorter manner. If the interest level is low, I will follow that route and end the story. If the interest is still there, I will continue with the original plan. Let me know (:
