days passed by, and instead of things getting simpler they went on getting more and more complicated and entangled. every time virat took a step towards manvi, she would take two steps away from him. in the very beginning, getting such a response from manvi made virat even more adamant to get her back but now... now it was so disheartening that made him frustated as an end result.
these days manvi would always successfully ignore him and get busy with one thing or the another. he kept wondering what is there in her mobile that it was too important for her... everytime he saw her, she was always too occupied and busy with her mobile or a newspaper. but one thing he still appreciated... whatever was happening between them was still between them only... their differences didnt affect kasak... that little kid was in an illusion that everything is just the way it used to be... she still thought that their small little family was just perfect like the ones in a fairy tales.
vanshika and vikram knew what was going on but they chose not to interfere between virat and manvi's personal matters and let them sort out their differences on their own. but they didnt stop praying to god that everything gets back to the way they were.
virat returned from office and vanshika with a warm smile greeted him. virat entered in and scanned the whole place and found it strange that there was no noise at all.
virat : kasakkk...
virat called out for his princess. a single look of hers is enough to bring a smile on his face and hearing to her cute talks made his day.
vanshika : you dont know...
virat turned to face vanshika wondering what is she talking about...
virat : i dont know what...???
vanshika : manvi and kasak are not here...
virat's breathe hitched and he nervously asked " not here means...???"
vanshika : didnt she tell you that she is going to her dad's place...??
virat : no... (taking a deep breath)
vanshika : i think she forgot...
vanshika immediately tried to cover up for manvi but somehwere she knew that whatever she will say, will not be able to console virat...
virat : she wants to forget everything and that everything includes me...
virat sighed and dragged his feet to his room... it really hurted vanshika to see virat in such a state. she knew how depressed he was these days... but on seconds thought, she wondered why manvi is unable to see the truth... the truth that virat is regretting... he is apologetic...
after 15 minutes, vanshika went to virat's room with two cups of tea and pakodas.
vanshika : can i come in...???
virat : ofcourse... you dont need to ask maa...
vanshika : i made tea for us...
virat : i dont have it...
vanshika : i cant have tea alone... its so boring...
virat : mommm...
virat knew what vanshika was trying to do... she was clearly trying to cheer him up.
vanshika : you want me to again go and make fresh pakodas for you...???
virat : huh...??
vanshika : thande ho rahe hain... khalo mera raja beta...
virat : hmm... wo kab gayi...???
vanshika fed virat a piece of pakoda with her hand and replied " in the afternoon... i think around 1am"
virat : hmm... you also eat it na...
vanshika : you eat it... are they okk...???
virat : fab... im loving it... because manvi and pakodas dont go well...
vanshika : hehe... i know...
virat : trust me on that... you make the world's best pakodas mom...
vanshika : only when its for you...
virat : thank you...
virat hugged vanshika for he wanted comfort which only his mother could give him at the moment.
vanshika : virat... call manvi NOW...
virat : no... she should have informed me but see she didnt find it important to even let me know...
vanshika : so what...?? she is your wife and she is not less than you... if she didnt inform you then you call her and ask her...
virat : ask her what...???
vanshika : ask her that when you should come to pick her up... dont tell me you want to feel like a bachelor again...

vanshika left the room and virat dialled manvi's mobile.

kasak : no... mujhe na apne house ki yaad aa rahi hai...

kasak ran to manvi and forwarded the phone...

manvi smiled at kasak and at mitali who was looking at her all this time.
manvi : when are you coming...??
virat : am i suppose to come baby...??? you never informed me...
manvi : i forgot... sorry...
virat : yeah really...
manvi : hum dinner saath karenge so.. so be on time...
virat : dont wait for me... you both have your dinner...

virat : what virat...?? your dad supposedly still hates me... why should i come there...??? to see him looking indifferently at me...
manvi smiled at mitali and got up from the sofa coming out in the balcony.
manvi : dad doesnt hate you... he was just angry...
virat : i understand that manvi... i really do... because im also a father... i cant also not stand somebody hurting my daughter... but what he said that day hurted me...
manvi : what are you talking about...??? why do you always want to create a scene...??
virat : your father said that initially he wasnt happy with your decision of getting married to me...
manvi : ohh cmon you also said some stuff which i cant forget...
virat : that i can clearly see and feel...

virat : i know sweetheart... you are doing whatever you feel like... so now i will do what i like...

virat : after you guys are done iwth your dinner feast... call me up... i will come to take my family back...
manvi disconnected the phone and cupped her flat stomach.
manvi : see how rude is your dad... he doesnt even want to listen to me... he didnt even ask about you... you miss me right... i like miss him...
kasak : miss... kisko miss karna hai...???
manvi turned around to see her angel looking at her with her hands on her hips and eyes deamnding an answer.
manvi : dad said he was missing you...
kasak : maine bhi miss kia tha mumma...
manvi : i know baby...
kasak : tummy mein pain ho rahi hai...?? (pointing at manvi's stomach as her hand was still resting there)
manvi : no baby... kasu come with me jaana...
manvi held kasak's hand and went into her room. manvi sat on the bed and made kasak sit in front of her.
manvi : i want to tell you something baby...
kasak : i know mumma...
manvi : what do you know...???
kasak : i know dad is coming... he told me mumma...
manvi : kasu mumma na... aapko small baby chahie tha na...
kasak : haan...
manvi : toh na hum small baby laa rahe hain... mumma and papa decided ke hum kasu ko ek small baby laa ke denge... are you happy...???
kasak : yes mumma... main na usko bahut pyaar karungi... i promise...

kasak : par brother ya sister...???
manvi : aapko kya chahie...??
kasak : mujhe toh one brother one sister... bas...
manvi : that means you want two small babies...

manvi : we will see it kasak... we want one cute little baby with us... no matter its a brother or sister...

kasak kissed manvi's cheek and ran outside to watch television.
after sometime mitali asked manvi about virat and when he will be coming. manvi felt really bad then and lied to mitali that he is still in office and he said that we all need not wait for him and eat dinner.
mitali : are you sure...???
manvi : hmm... he will be late mom... so
mitali : okk but you know manvi, i really wanted virat to be here with us and be a part of this dinner...
manvi : next time for sure...
at the dinner, manvi noticed that this wasnt the usual atmosphere of her house. whenever she n virat used to come there for dinner, it used to be so much of fun but today there is only silence.
kasak : mujhe na curd nahi khana...
manvi : then dont have it... no one is forcing you...
mitali noticed the way manvi replied to kasak and intervined.
mitali : even better... my honeybun will have the custard that i made for her...
kasak : chocolate custard...???
mitali : yes...
kasak : okk...
while having dinner, manvi secretly messaged virat that they are almost done with the dinner and he can now come to pick them up.
mahesh : why is virat not here...??
manvi : woh... wohh meeting... office mein hai...
mahesh didnt drag the topic further and continued eating while manvi was sure that her father wasnt happy on seeing virat's absense.
after dinner, manvi ran towards the door on hearing to the sound of the horn. manvi went out and got into the passenger seat.
virat : where is kasak...??
manvi : please come inside...
virat : i already told you manvi...
manvi : please... dad was upset when he found that you didnt join us...
virat : i dont wont to hurt anyone... your parents are like my parents... i never treated them as my in laws but -
manvi : cant we keep it aside for them... they would feel good virat...
virat : im coming only for you... because i hate saying no to you...
manvi : thank you...
virat and manvi came inside and before anyone could come to meet them, kasak ran to virat.
kasak : good evening...
virat : very good evening to you my princess...
kasak : but ab toh night ho gayi... hehe... good night ho gayi...
mitali : good to see you virat...
virat : me too... i hope you are doing good mom...
mitali : yeah...
virat : where is dad...???
manvi looked at virat and this particular gesture of his, brought a smile on her face. he really does treats her parents like his... what else a girl wants from her life partner...
mahesh : im right here son.
virat went and touched his feet and then hugged him.
virat : dad im sorry for what happened...
mahesh : im sorry beta...
virat : please dad... dont embarass me plss...
manvi felt really nice on seeing the scene and it made her feel proud of her husband. her husband didnt let her dad get embarass and he himself apologised. she fell in love wit her husband all over again...
but is love enough... sometimes it is and sometimes it is not... love is like air... we need air to breath... to live but we need other things too... only air isnt sufficient though its a necessity... same ways we need trust, belief, honesty, truthfulness too...
