I guess my parents will be most relieved that this show has ended. They found it very painful to sit through, without having watched the last two hours. Anyway, Colors won't be the channel to watch for me, until the next season is on air.
Elsewhere, in several family/teen dramas, people are upset when a character is withdrawn or changed a lot. Here, a character we get used to, in a few seconds, dies! Hardly the kind that will get loads of fans, but let's hope quality stays intact.
Great show, great concept, and hopefully we'll see more of it. While it was, for all practical purposes, a remake of an American show, they re-tooled it sufficiently to make it different, and also added several elements specific to India and Indian history/current affairs, to make it feel more at home, such as the Sri Lankan Civil War. The acting was good across the board, although unlike the American show, which had relative unknowns, this had film and TV veterans acting here.
Cast, crew and fans of 24 India should thank the sponsors for their strong support. Plenty of advertisers sponsoring the show, tie-ins at retailers, and of course, the title sponsor Tata Safari Storme, have done their bit in supporting a quality show that is under-rated in an era of fixed TRPs, fixed awards and muddled executive decisions in networks.
