Guess wat..i just cant let myself not read this..u are just too amazing dear!! The story is gripping n totally a "must read"..there cnt be any doubt abt it since i am reading n imagining all of it when my exams are just a day away!😆..u know what..u must try ur hand at writing novels n becuming a full-fledged writer! (posting twice in the same day...really in the zone of writing and decided to post another chapter today...enjoy😳😳😳)

Chapter Nine

"Do you have everything packed?" I asked.

"Yes mama!" Dhruv said smiling holding his backpack.

I ruffled his hair and bent down to look at him.

"Are you sure? Last time we had to turn back to get your Ironman toy before we dropped you off. We won't be able to do it again this time." I said looking at Dhruv.

Dhruv smiled and he took off his backpack and he pulled his toy.

"Ta-dah!" Dhruv said smiling.

I smiled and laughed.

"Okay is my champ ready?" Kunal's voice said.

Dhruv smiled and ran over to him.

"Dad!" Dhruv said.

Kunal smiled and lifted him up in his arms and kissing his forehead.

I got up and smiled seeing them talking and playing with each other.

My heart filled up so much warmth and love.

Kunal looked at me and bobbed his head upwards.

And I just shook my head.

"I will leave you guys I have to go back down to help maa ji," I said.

I kissed Dhruv on the forehead and squeezed Kunal's arm before leaving the room and I was about to head out until I saw Kamini outside the door with a stern expression.

She looked at me and walked over.

Did I do something again...

"Maa ji I was coming downstairs to..."

Before I could say anything she placed a tiffin in my hand. I looked up at her and she was still worrying a scowl on her face but it slowly softened.

She looked at me and if I was blind I thought she was directing a smile at me...a very small smile at me.

"Never mind, pack this in his backpack. He is going to be hungry on his ride there also..." She paused and handed me a small thermos.

"Its milk it's heated for him so he can drink it with that as well." Kamini said.

I smiled and I hugged her.

She was shocked and she was left speechless.

I never really got to do this before...might as well...

She was always insistent in keeping me at an arm's distance but somehow with Dhruv, she was a little bit warmer to and would play with him from time to time.

I released her and smiled and she was still in confusion.

I smiled even more and walked over to where Dhruv left his backpack on the floor, picked it up, and placed the items inside.

"Dhruv what do we say when we get something from someone?" Kunal asked while he was still in his arms.

"Thank you dadi!" Dhruv said beaming, showing all of his teeth, except for one that recently fell out.

"That's my champ!" Kunal said ruffling up his hair.

Kamini was mute but a small smile quickly spread on her face and she looked at Kunal. She must have seen something in his face that had her smile even more and slightly blush before she walked away.

"Thank you maa ji!" I yelled out.

"Thank you mom!" Kunal hollered as well.

"Don't scream it's too early in the morning for all of that!" she yelled right back.

I looked at Kunal and Dhruv and we all laughed.

It was a tiring day and I thought I could rest on the couch in the room.

Saying goodbye to Dhruv when he went on his trip and knew he was going to be gone for a week was going to be unbearable.

I was anxious and didn't want him to be gone so far...my nerves always cracked up whenever I couldn't reach him or see him or Kunal constantly...thoughts of the accident...the feeling of having my heart ripped from my chest and my very being just a hollow shell was too much.

Too overwhelming.

My eyes suddenly popped open.

My thoughts then shifted in question to the mystery woman that was Kunal's business partner.

There was something about here...I've seen her somewhere before.

"Shraddha." A soft voice said.

I briefly looked up and saw Jin Yeon looking at me with a smile on her face.

"Well you are looking more chirper these days." I said before letting my head fall back on the couch.

I felt the couch slightly sink by me and I could tell she was sitting next to me.

"Well that time I had a lot on my mind," she said in deep thought.

"Seeing how secretive you are, I'm not shocked." I said without lifting my head up.

She gave a deep sigh and I chuckled.

"I try not to be but alas it's what must be done." She said.

"Jin..." I said.

"Yes?" I heard her say.

"If I ask you something about you will you answer me honestly and directly for once?" I asked.

"Shraddha..." she trailed on.

I sat up and looked JinYeon and thankfully her eyes were a normal color.

"I'm grateful I really am but it would be nice knowing the person whose doing all of this for me. I mean it's not something normal where someone effortlessly helps me to begin with but to have a complete person I mean..." I trailed off.

She sighed.

"Shraddha, you have been the first person on being so insistent on wanting to ask about me. Everyone I help...sure they ask but once they get what they want..." she said smiling in the distance.

"So will you answer honestly?" I asked.

She smiled.

"I will answer your questions Shraddha...but I cannot be so straight with your answers as you would like." She said smiling.

It was not really a straight answer but what the heck it would be easier to clarify some of the questions I had.

"Why did you help me? How did you know what happened about me? How did you know about my situation and how did you know..." I asked in immediate succession.

"Hold up Shraddha calm down." She chuckled.

"I'm serious..." I trailed on.

"I know." She said while laughing.

"I will answer what I heard and the rest from what you're thinking so calm down."

"I helped you because you needed help simple as that. How did I know? I knew, I know and always knows what's happening how can I help, if I'm not aware? I knew about your situation, I just answered it already and why am I doing this...well that is more of a benefit for you than for me. Seeing as you get Kunal and Dhruv." She said turning to me while smiling.

"Wow...you have left me more confused and I should have known better to even ask." I said while slumping on the couch.

She laughed.

"I do this for a living Shraddha. I help people. Whether someone that dies before their time or if they lose someone that they weren't suppose to lose. You fit the bill so I helped. Simple as that. As for the color of my eyes changing...that happens from time to time when I'm too tired or trying to "communicate" of sorts." She said.

"Communicate with whom..." I said backing away from her.

She laughed.

"It's okay Shraddha. Don't worry about the communicate part. Forget I even said it." She said smiling.

"It's hard to forget when you say that you communicate with someone. Especially this someone that I can't see." I said.

"It's not a big deal they mean no harm to you...more so towards me if I screw this up." She murmured the last part.

"Huh? I didn't catch the last part." I said confused.

"Its okay don't worry about it. You are thinking about another question just ask it." She said

"Am I the only one that can see you? Or others because the other day there was people that was able to see you" I asked intrigued.

She thought deeply.

"They weren't staring at me. They can't see me. They were staring at you since you were talking to yourself." She said.

"But they were staring at you." I said.

She smiled.

"It's a lot of things that I could go into as to why you thought that but it's not important. So, next question.

I stared her down and she maintained a smile so I sighed and let it go.

"But if you're older than me...why you are in this particularly get up." I said lifting my hand up and down from her overall frame. She still had the doll look going for her and it made her seem even smaller.

She was in another dress, this time it was a lace black tutu dress that stopped down all the way to her feet with her two small black and white dress shoes peeking out. Her hair was in a small ponytail with a small white ribbon laced around her ponytail.

"You don't like my dress?" Jin Yeon said while pouting with a shocked expression on her face.

I blinked and just stared.

"I love this dress. It's cute." Jin Yeon said smiling and pouting.

"You know what I meant.You're distracting me again.."

She sighed.

"Of course I did. You always want to talk about me, me, me. Sheesh you're no fun." She said pouting.

"Jin.." I said.

"Okay. You're no fun Shraddha. I love being in this getup." She said smiling very cutely with her eyes bulging out.

"You forget I have a ten year old son and an overly affectionate husband... that won't work on me. The truth Jin." I said looking at her.

She sighed.

"Okay since I know so much about you I will tell you a little...but from what I can remember. I'm Jin Yeon, last name I don't particular remember. The reason I have this body is very simple. It's the body I died in." she said while looking at me.

I was stunned for a moment but quickly picked up my scrambled thoughts.

"Di...Di...Died in? But...you are...were so young. Your family what did they...what about them" I said shocked.

She shrugged.

"I barely remember the details, that happens with us. We transition into...we change per say and we lose recollection of our previous lives. My family...I don't know what happened with them but based on the natural process of most humans, they are all dead" She said.

She didn't bat an eyelash when she was talking about her family and I wonder how long...

"I'm not answering that. That's something you shouldn't nor need to know." She said softly.

"But..."

"No buts Shraddha. Next question." She said.

Her expression was stern and I knew I pushed too far with that one so I moved on to the next question.

"Okay. How are you able to "pop up"?" I asked.

"Because I can. Next question." She said.

"That doesn't explain a thing." I said aghasted.

"That's the point. Next question." She said.

I sighed and gave up. She was being really tight-lipped.

"What are you?"

"I'm a person like you but at the same time I'm not. I exist at the same time yet I don't. Time is totally my friend but sometimes it's not. I can do what you can do but a little bit more and totally 100 percent better." She said smiling.

I just stared at her and I wanted to take a drink and I didn't drink alcohol at all.

I was getting nowhere asking personal questions.

"So why can't you answer anything about your past and what you are?"

She thought for a moment and then she snapped her fingers.

"Because it's not allowed. Not needed and no one usually ask...well the past part not "what I am" part." She said.

I sighed growing frustrated each second.

"Is Dhruv okay?" I asked trying to divert the conversation and seeing if it would momentarily distract her, which worked.

She was caught unaware and she smiled and for a moment I thought I saw a slight blush but it quickly disappeared before it came.

"He's fine. He made it on his trip safely I made sure." She said while murmuring the last part.

"When is Kunal coming back home?" I asked.

"In an hour or two he is currently with your brother." She said

Kunal and Anand are together...why???

"The same reason as to how Kittu and Anand patched up. You can thank your husband for that as well." She said smiling.

"By the way when did you fall in love with him?" Jin Yeon asked.

"Aren't you a mind reader or can use your genie powers to see the past or whatever?" I asked.

"First of all genies grant wishes and they can't read minds. Second, I don't grant wishes I alter time and read minds, along with manipulating them if I so choose. Third, I know and see your past...but as for feelings and emotions I cannot detect that. Sure I see your moments but I cannot detect when things shifted into something more. I can read your mind but if you're not thinking it then I have no clue."

"This is a distraction tactic?" I asked her skeptically.

"Pretty much. But I'm curious in all honesty." She said seriously.

"You don't have to worry about it. I actually have something against you. You can't always have the upper hand." I said smiling finally in triumph.

She scrunched up her face and she turned on the couch and she put her face close to mine. I backed away and I arched my eyebrow.

"Come on think!!! THINK!!!! UGH!!!!" she said frustrated.

She continued to stare at me and instead I started thinking about something that might disturb her.

"Shraddha you have to try better than that. I said I died in the body of an eight year old. I don't have the mentality and mind of one. Sheesh I have seen couples having sex plenty of time and I promise you it's not that amazing." She said still insistent.

I blushed and I pushed her aside.

"Wow Kunal seems to really have a great body." She said with a chipper voice.

"Stop it." I said blushing.

"Wow...he has abs...six pack abs. Wow!" she said amaze.

"Stop it!" I said blushing even more.

"But on this couch! You guys were about to?" she got up quickly shocked and fell flat on the ground.

I busted out in laughter.

"I thought you said sex was sex?" I said.

"That is one thing but still on the couch?"

"Thought you didn't have the mentality of an eight year old?"

"But still..."

"Proved me wrong."

"But..."

"We didn't have sex there sheesh." I said laughing.

"But..."

I smiled and before she could catch wind on what I was trying to do I quickly asked.

"Who's the "she" that might interfere with Kunal and is responsible for what happened?"

She looked up confused.

"She is the one that will try to steal Kunal from you. Her intentions are to break you guys up. She is the one that caused the accident...why are you asking questions like this when you al..." her eyes bulged and she realized her mistake.

I cursed and knew I was found out.

She was about to rant until her small frame froze and once again her eyes turned into another freaky blue color this time her mouth was softly moving, in rapid succession.

Fear crossed her features.

I grew concerned and immediately rushed over to her and she doubled over in pain.

"Jin what's wrong?" I asked scared.

"Too much..." She softly murmured and she gripped in pain and then she disappeared.

"Jin..." I said sitting on the floor completely confused and concerned.
