Hey guys I got a few pms on when I would be updating and some replies asking me to update soon.Actually guys I am a bit busy for a few days so I will either update on Saturday,Sunday and if not then,then definitely for sure Monday.Oh and I am not ending this story just yet.I'll add some more parts and another small twist (no misunderstanding).Until then bye my wonderful readers!

Part 22

The next day was the engagement.The General had locked Khushi in her room and Arnav in his,knowing they would want to meet each other.It was 4 PM and guests had begun pouring in for the engagement.Arnav was ready in his sherwani and Khushi was ready in her lehenga.

Arnav smiled at Khushi as he held her hand.She blushed when he kissed the back of her hand in front of everybody.They stood in the middle of the crowd and exchanged rings.Everybody clapped.Arnav leaned in towards Khushi and whispered "I can't believe everybody is here just to see us exchange rings"

Khushi laughed "I am having my mehndi tonight at 6"

"Hmm,interesting"

The General walked up to the them "Come,let's eat"

Arnav and Khushi nodded and followed him to the buffet.Picking up their food,they sat at a table.The General walked up to some guests leaving the couple alone.Khushi was happily munching on her food when a thought suddenly occuresd to her.She turned to Arnav"Arnav"

"Yeah"

"Is Panther still alive?"

Arnav stopped eating and looked at Khushi "Why do you want to know?"

Khushi shrugged "Just curious"

"Hmm...he is..Panther is still alive and in coma in a hospital"

"Oh"

Arnav nodded "The doctor doesn't know when he'll awaken" Khushi nodded and resumed eating.Arnav sighed and held Khushi's hand,grabbing her attention "Don't worry.He won't interfere in our lives"

Khushi gave a small smile and nodded.The rest of the party was just a blur.

It was 6:30 PM and Khushi was enjoying her mehndi ceremony.Beautiful mehndi adorned her hands and Khushi waited patiently for it to dry.She happily danced with the ladies,careful for her hands.She suddenly noticed Payal.Smiling widely,she ran to her.Noticing her Payal also smiled and hugged her "Oh Khushi,I missed you so much"

"I missed you too" replied Khushi.They parted "Where were you all those years?"

Payal smiled "Remember when I was trying to help you escape? When you were kidnapped,Panth- I mean Arnav found me"

Flashback

"Khushi" Payal called out "Where are you?" A sudden movement caught her attention.Arnav stepped out with a gun held in his hand by his side "YOU" shouted Payal"Stay away or or else-"

"Stay calm Payal" said Arnav in his firm voice "Where is Khushi?"

"I-I am n-not t-t-telling you" Payal stuttered keeping her eyes on his gun.

Arnav took a step forward "Tell me" Payal shook her head.Arnav sighed "I didn't think I would have to reveal this quick" he mumbled to himself.Looking at Payal he took out a small badge with his name carved on it "I am police Payal..tell me where Khushi is"

Payal froze unable to believe him "I don't believe you"

Arnav gave an huge sigh,obviously annoyed.He took out a small booklet.Opening it up he showed it to Payal.There was a license inside with Arnav's picture proving he was really part of the police.Payal gasped.Arnav raised his eyebrows "Now will you tell me?"

"I-I d-on't know w-where sh-she i-is"

Arnav clenched his fist "What do you mean you don't know where she is?"

"I-I had gone to g-get a spare tire from the b-back and when I returned she was g-gone"

Arnav ran a hand through his hair,frustrated "Fine and now since you know my identity,I can't trust you to keep it hidden.You go home and I'll find her and don't ever try to contact her until I allow it.Don't think I won't know because I will get police to keep an eye on you"

"But-"

"No buts! Now leave and keep my warning in mind"

Payal nodded and reluctantly left.

Flashback Ends

"He actually threatened you" said Khushi shocked.

Payal nodded "I guess it was to keep his identity hidden.I don't blame him and he was trying to protect you" Khushi nodded remembering all the things he did "Anyways come,let's enjpy your mehndi ceremony"

The girls got on the dance floor and enjoyed themselves.Khushi leaned against a pillar tired.Her mehndi had already dried and she had rinsed it off.Suddenly an arm shot out and grabbed her hand pulling her to the other side of the pillar where nobody else was.Khushi didn't have to see to know who it was "You look beautiful" commented Arnav,tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

Khushi gave a small blush "Thanks but you're not supposed to be here"

Arnav shrugged "I wanted to see you so I came"

Khushi giggled "What if somebody sees us?"

"I don't care"

"Really?" said some girls in a chorus behind him.

Arnav groaned leaning his forehead against Khushi's.Khushi blushed and giggled.She lightly pushed him and ran away,followed by the girls "I can't wait for tomorrow" whispered Arnav smiling.

The next day came and it was the wedding day.The wedding was at 6 PM.Arnav's dad made sure to again lock the the couple in their seperate rooms.It was finally 6 PM.Arnav sat at the altar waiting impatiently until he saw Khushi descend down the stairs with Payal by her side.She raised her eyes and looked into Arnav's and smiled.He smiled back.Khushi sat next to him and the rituals followed.

It was the wedding reception.Arnav and Khushi were holding hands and enjoying.Arnav got up and put out his hand in front of her "Dance?"

Khushi nodded and placed her hand in his.The approached the dance floor and danced on a slow dance "I can't believe we're married..finally together" said Khushi smiling.

Arnav nodded "I can but I just can't believe we are spending our time like this...on the dance floor when really we should be in ..."

Khushi blushed "Dad has organized this and I think it's beautiful"

"It is but don't you want to do something private" he whispered in her ear.

Khushi turned bright red "Arnav!"

"What? It is true" said Arnav "Let's go"

"We can't" objected Khushi "Dad has organized such a wonderful party.He wouldn't like it if we left"

"From all the years I have known him I don't think he'll mind" Arnav smirked.

So Arshi are wedded now so cute the update was. Loved it. Thks for the pm dear.
