Chapter Eight
I was in the car and I fastened my seat belt and I didn't have to look to my left to know that Jin Yeon popped back up.
"What's this you haven't been appearing for a couple of days," I said while looking at her.
She didn't look at me and instead stared blankly, straight ahead.
"You missed me?" she said quietly.
I looked at her and smiled.
Aside from all the confusion, it was nice to have her around.
"That's really sweet. Plus I didn't think harassing you were going to get anything solved." She said quietly.
That wasn't like her; she was always pushy and insistent when it came for me to understand what she was saying. She always smiling and chirpy to the point she seemed like a child that was amp up on too much sugar.
"I can behave like a normal person once in a while. I left you alone because it was up to you." she said.
Jin Yeon turned to me and her eyes were a freaky light blue.
"Why is your eye color suddenly like that..." I moved away after being crept out.
She blinked and her face creased in confusion. Luckily her eye color turned back to her regular eye color.
"You were seeing stuff. My eyes were their usual colors so don't worry about it."
I was crept out about it, but one thing I learned with her...don't ask too many personal questions that concerned and revolved around her.
"So you have finally realized what I was saying was to be true?" she said.
"I don't understand but I want Kunal and Dhruv to be alive. I don't want them to disappear if I ever get sent back to..." I trailed off.
She placed a hand on my thigh and I looked up at her.
"You won't be sent back to that. As long as you listen to me you won't have to relive that reality again. We will find her. She is close to him already but we have a chance in thwarting her intentions. We just have to be careful." Jin Yeon said.
"Her...who's she?" I asked.
Jin Yeon gave me a small smile before she turned back.
"You will meet her soon there is no need for you to know...yet." she said.
"But didn't you just say we have to stop her? So let stop her, now right now." I said confused.
"That's not possible. If we do it now...she might do something different and I'm still not sure if its exactly him she was trying or rather is going to target." She said looking at me.
"Not sure "exactly"what does that mean?"
"It means I'm not sure if she ever intentionally planned to target Kunal or if it was mistake or if it was someone else she was after." She said thinking to herself.
"But this whole time you kept on telling me its not my fault as if you're so sure..." I trailed on.
"I'm 95 percent sure it wasn't your fault but..."
"But?" I said looking at her.
"It's always nice to have that 5 percent option as something to consider." She said finally smiling.
I looked at her like she grew horns and for the first time she laughed.
"I was kidding. Of course it wasn't your fault." She said laughing at her cryptic joke.
"That is in no way at all funny." I looked at her astonished.
"Calm down Shraddha it was a joke laugh a little." She said sighing.
"If I never believed that you were a lot older than I thought, I'm starting to believe it when you say stuff like that." I said.
She continued.
"Chill-lax Shraddha. What do they say...take a chill pill. I was joking," she said while still laughing.
"I'm sorry if I need to chill when you somehow salvage my sanity in me thinking I killed my husband and son and now you joked around that it might have been my fault? I almost died, I was close to death. I'm sorry if I can't chill. You wouldn't know that feeling since you are some..." I grew frustrated with the conversation and I checked my watch and noticed I was going to be late for work.
I started the engine and put the car in reverse to back out the driveway.
I didn't catch the last part but Jin Yeon murmured something under her breath.
"You would be shocked that I know that feeling too well," Jin Yeon murmured.

I was waiting for Kunal to finish his meeting, holding my phone on my left hand while my purse was in the right as I sat down waiting for him to finish his meeting.
Who would have thought the suppose "date" would be having lunch for his lunch break...how romantic.
I sighed.
Valentine's Day was coming up and even though I dismissed it last time, this time I wanted to make it up.
I wanted to do something special...but I didn't want to outrightly state my intentions.
Why should I? Why should I say something to him? He should know.
My stubborn side relented.
But how would he know? This is the mistakes I made last time. Always thinking he will always know and understand what I was thinking.
My rationale side warred.
But still why do I have to be the one to give in?
Stubborn side.
"You know it's not a battle." A voice said.
I groaned.
I looked up and saw Jin staring at me.
"Why are you here? I thought you said you were going to look around," I said confused.
She sat next to me in one of the waiting chairs while some passerby's looked at Jin as if she was weird but she paid no mind to it.
"I did look around and I got my answer. Plus why don't you make the initiative." She said.
I looked at her and she was nothing but smiles this time around.
"I can...I let go you digging in my head for other things but don't do that when am thinking about..." I trailed on.
"Don't worry I try not to listen when you are thinking those things. But we don't have much time." She said.
"It's only February." I said.
"February soon it will be March then maybe June or October. Time flies very fast." she said.
"Meaning you will alter it again if you want to." I said.
She shrugged but didn't say anything.
Before I could comment a bunch of businessmen and women were walking out of his office seeing to have been concluded with the meeting. I was about to get up until I saw Kunal and another woman stepped out of his office.
She was a tall woman, really tall, especially in comparison with Kunal, she seemed slightly taller than him.
She was thin but her dress was still able to accentuate the curves that she had, causing passersby to stare at her and goggle her with fascination and admiration.
At the same time, she was aware of the attention because she would smile and casually twist a strand of her hair behind her ear.
She was also a very beautiful with brown eyes and she was just as pale as Jin Yeon just a little bit darker than her.
She had brown hair that was in waves down her back with a small clip in the middle of her mass of her hair. She smiled at Kunal and was about to touch Kunal until someone patted Kunal on the back and he turned around.
She appeared agitated but quickly smoothed it away when Kunal introduced the guy to their conversation.
Don't get jealous, don't get jealous, don't touch her, don't hit her, be calm, cool, and collected...
I tried reasoning as I walked over to where they were and Kunal caught me and a smile broke over his face.
"Shraddha," he said smiling.
I tentatively smiled and gave a side look and saw the woman in question eye me up and down and for a moment I thought saw recognition cross her face and some other tell-tale emotion...but I couldn't place a name on it.
"Mr. Smith and Ms. Hwang this is my wife Shraddha," he said all of a sudden.
I turned when he put his hands in mind and brought it towards his lips and I smiled and slightly blushed.
The older gentleman smiled and introduced himself while the woman in questioned, she gave a slow smile and she outstretched her hand.
"Nice to meet you Mrs. Shirvastav, don't refer to me as Ms. Hwang seeing as I will be working with your husband a lot more frequently," she said smiling.
I caught the double connotation but I ignored it and instead smiled back.
"That's fine what should I call you?" I said smiling.
She smiled even more.
"I go by Yoon-Ah or just Yoona," she said smiling.
I took her hand in mine and I looked at her wrist. It was really slender but that wasn't what caught my eye, it was her bracelet.
I've seen it somewhere before...
It was a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet with small blue diamond's spaced in between them.
I know I have seen it somewhere before...but where...
I removed my hands from hers and she smiled.
"Then you can call me Shraddha." I said smiling right back.
She smiled as well and she then turned to Kunal.
"Kunal," she said.
"Yes?" Kunal asked after saying goodbye to Mr. Smith.
"Don't forget tomorrow." She said smiling.
"Of course I won't," Kunal said smiling.
She smiled again and her eyes cut a quick glance to me. If I didn't know any better I could say I saw a smirk form but when I blinked it was replaced solely by a smile.
"Okay bye Kunal," she said smiling.
"Bye Ms. Hwang...I mean Yoona." Kunal said laughing.
She smiled she looked at me.
"Nice meeting you...Shraddha." she said.
I forced a smile on my face.
Something about this woman seemed too familiar especially with her fake gestures of politeness...
But I played along.
"Nice meeting you as well," I said.
She tossed a strand behind her shoulder before some tall guy in a black suit was immediately by her side carrying her purse.
"If you don't mind I have to leave I have a meeting with another client to get to, thank you." She said winking at Kunal before she walked away with the guy who was most likely her bodyguard.

I was still puzzled by the woman from before that I didn't realize when Kunal was looking at me, motioning for me to open my mouth as he was trying to feed me something that was on his plate.
I looked at him and just opened my mouth and he slid it in and I was shocked at the taste of chocolate in my mouth and I looked up at him surprised.
He wiggled his eyebrows mischievously.
"I knew that would get your attention, while you were day dreaming I ordered a chocolate mousse. I know you love chocolate," he said smiling.
It did and I almost wanted to kiss him for it...almost....
"Sorry..."I started.
"Its okay. I know I kind of took long for my meeting and I know you might be upset with me because of that. I'm sorry."
I shook my head.
"It's okay." I said still letting my thoughts about to wonder again but instead I looked at Kunal and his fork was close to my mouth.
"Here. Eat. Don't apologize." He said while winking at me.
I did and Kunal kept feeding me and I could see him really taking delight in it and I smiled.
When we were finished I finally asked him what was bugging me.
"Who is she?" I asked.
Kunal was about to signal the waiter for the check until he stopped midway.
"Huh? She who? Oh you mean Yoona?"
"Yes," I said.
"Ehhh...is my wife jealous of another woman now?" Kunal said.
Underneath the table I kicked him on his leg and he laughed while he rubbed his leg.
"Why should I be jealous of her? Who is she for me to be jealous of her? Sure she might be a little bit prettier, wear a little bit more revealing clothes than I do, and might be a lot smaller and skinnier than me...but she was never pregnant it's one thing to get pregnant but it takes a long time for the weight to come off. She isn't a mother, she is not a wife, nor handling a career. Its difficult handling all of that...so who...how can I be jealous of her." I said feeling my face heat up with embarrassment.
"It's been nine years though..." Kunal said.
I kicked him again.
"Owww! Is this what you do with your husband?" Kunal said shocked.
"When he keeps joking like that...then yes." I said feeling more embarrassed than annoyed.
Kunal reached over the table and he grabbed both of my hands and looked at me.
"I was kidding Shraddha," he said.
His expression turned serious and he was gazing at me so much love was shining from his eyes and I could feel the tell-tell signs of desire and although I was blushing I could do nothing but stare back.
"You are not like that Shraddha and I love you for that. You are you. You are the most beautiful woman to me. Remember what I said to you...I told you my girlfriend is the hottest woman ever. So much so that I can't live with her" Kunal said while kissing my hand
At that I smiled.
"Plus Yoona is a partner, a business partner, from South Korea and I was hoping to expand business over there. There has been an overwhelming positive feedback from sales overseas and some companies have been targeting me for a while so I finally relented. She didn't stop and I finally agreed." He said.
"It's okay you don't need to explain so much. Sheesh." I said smiling.
He released my hands and he winked at me before he tried to catch the attention of a waiter.
But there was something about her...I still feel like I have seen her somewhere before...
