Hi Neha, Krishna was on the chariot, he drove the chariot.

However whilst the war was happening, Hanuman sat on top of the chariot. His powers held the chariot together without being destroyed from the deadly attacks. When Hanuman got off the chariot, it exploded 😊

Hanuman was on it, at the say so of Lord Krishna, thus he was responsible in a way :)
