Varun is gone. KD and Srman follow some leads like Varun's phone to this house. There the terrified people tell KD that the Pishach has taken Varun. KD decides to go to the police for help, but officer refuses with the rationale that he can't take missing report till sufficient time has passed. Srman is angry, but KD says lets go - we came to the wrong door for help.
Srman thinks they may get Varun back if they back off from helping Chandrika, but KD refuses. KD returns to the police station to say this to Chandrika. He explains even Varun came to help Chandrika, so now it is even more important. He asks why gaonwales think Chandrika called pishach. Chandrika explains that two years ago she borrowed money against her land for her daughter's wedding from the zameendar. The zameendar stole the land from her with trickery. The panchayat refuses her arzi as she lacks evidence. Chandrika accuses all of trickery and refuses to treat anyone...all will die. They think her "shrap" has turned into pishach and started hurting the gaonwales that betrayed her. KD thinks Varun came to help Chandrika so why would the pishach hurt someone who helped Chandrika?
The officer asks if he should write Varun's missing report. KD says he will find Varun on his own. Just then they learn that a body has been found. They go to see. It is not Varun. KD wants postmartem against police advice. The doctor says the report won't be available till after panchayat and the police officer mocks him.
At panchayat they mock KD. KD says someone harbours ill-will toward Chandrika and he wants to explore that. He wants to question Gauri. He asks about her wish to have a relationship with Chandrika's son, Birju. Guari hems at first, but eventually says that Chandrika told her she wanted to marry her son to someone else. KD asks if she went to Tantrikbaba for help with getting Birju though Chandrika would disapprove of this.
KD asks Tantrik why he helped Gauri? There is some flashbak of Srman recovering stolen properties from Tantrik. KD then says tantrik was against Chandrika because she wanted to stop his fraud. He next questions the police officer. KD asks whether there was discord between Tantrik and Chandrika and between Chandrika and the officer. Officer Dubey eventually admits that he blames Chandrika for not saving his ill son. KD next questions Zaminder. Chandrika has a small plot of land in the middle of Zaminder's land that Zaminder still wants. There is objection that KD is passing blame against others, but not proving Chandrika innocent. KD gets one day more from the Panchayat to gather evidence that Chandrika is not behind pishach's wrath.
Varun is shown tied to a wooden slab.
The pishach pranam's Chandrika's son that night and leaves. LOL! Some villagers who were insulting Birju see this and decide to tell the rest of the villagers. All villagers & leaders attack police station. KD arrives to stop them. He promises to turnover Chandrika after next panchayat if he is not able to prove her innocent.
He sends Srman with Birju while KD himself goes to speak with Mukhiya. He notices stain on shoe of Mukhiya. KD asks for extension of time - to start panchayat later. But, Mukiya says they were planning to start earlier not later.
KD sends Srman to seher for evidence from hospital. KD asks Birju who arrives just then if pishach bowed to Birju. Birju says he did, but he doesn't know why...so it seems to all that his mother is in cahoots with the pishach.

They locate Varun with help of senior police officers whom Srman had called at KDs instructions. Varun's blood was being taken along with others in a underground location in the jungle.
The next day at the panchayat KD reveals that while he was last in the hospital about postmortem he learnt there was a shortage of blood at the hospital. Upon further investigation he learnt that there was no true shortage, but blood was being sold. He found lal soil there from this gaon there while he was looking at a blood box. The soil is of this village, but it is about ten metres down. He then explains how this discovery led him to Varun and the underground locationđ Varun enters at this point. Tantrik says KD is making up stuff.
KD says there is a rakht pishach in the village. This pishach doesn't drink blood, but sells it. And this pisach is a the Mukhiya of the village. Everyone is shocked and objects.
KD says as a lawyer he won't speak without evidence. The police commissioner can testify that the surang from the underground where the people and Varun, who were being drained of blood were kept, led to Mukhiya's house. Mukhiya says he is being entrapped. KD says he saw lal mitti on Mukhiya's shoe. Mukhiya says he could have gotten mitti elsewhere. KD produces books of accounts of Mukhiya's blood business. At further objection, KD produces the "pishach" - it is son of Mukhiya. Mukhiya still denies. LOL! The son tells Mukiya that police already has all the evidence including stolen properties.
Sarpanch finally dismisses case against Chandrika and orders Dubey to investigate the land fraud that was perpetrated against her.
