I can't blame Abhishek for getting so defensive here. He has been sidelined a LOT and everyone has obviously been talking about it- that he means nothing to the Dhoom series, which causes his declining star value to crash further. Fine, Aamir is a bigger star and the Dhoom series somewhere does focus a lot on the stylized anti-hero and his glamorous lead, but YRF doesn't need to make it look like the film is all about them only and brutally ignore the rest of the cast. At least project them all equally, put them out together in front of the media and at conferences, after that who steals the spotlight through his work in the movie or bcos he is more famous than the others is a different question. During 3 idiots and RDB, all the promotions were done together. Yes, obviously Aamir got a lion's share of the media attention and at the end of the day the movie was addressed as an Aamir Khan starrer by the press, but the makers were clean of all blames of ignoring the other actors.

Actually YRF has the habit of cashing on the big star and ignoring others, for a long time. even dharma does it.

Anywho, I think if D4 happens, a fresh cast would be better. I can so see arjun kapoor as jay and Veeru as Ali.

Loads of superhero franchise on HW also reboots with fresh casts when old ones get older looking or for superman, the movie is not a success

i agree, but did he try ?.. NO.. he could have tried instead of being loyal to YRF and mani ratnam.. he was doing good untill dhoom2 and KANK released and everything took a negative turn.. hardwork does pay off, he did solo lead films like game, instead of looking at the PH and budget if he would do a better film which had good script then he could shine, plus choices like drona, players, and many more rubbish flicks hampered his solo lead pull..

He really lost confidence post Raavan. Only Bol Bachchan brought some confidence back for him. Next he will hope from HNY. I doubt he expects anything from Dhoom 3 for himself.

But to survive, one needs to be confident, even HR did two back to back flop like kites and guzarish, but still made a rocking comeback, Abhishekh could do the same, but i feel he is lazy, he only signs movies with big PH and doesnt bother to read the scripts, otherwise he should have dumped this disgraceful YRF and shouldn't have done D3 after whatever happened in D2...Bol bachan he was fabulous, and i really hope he gets solo projects soon..he already has one..

He sounds really upset about what happened.

not his fault, but being in bollywood since 13 years he must know that how this place worships and licks the shining star .. so its saddistic but true.. i really hope he makes a rocking comeback...

I want to see Randeep Hooda instead of Abhishek

Then for Uday chopra, I would say Riteish deshmukh. He is actually an underrated actor, very good in comedy roles OR Shreyas Talpade is another good option to replace Uday
