I just thought of analyzing how seperation will affect SURYA. They have become intimate after 2 yrs in marriage and before that love could blossom completely they are getting seperated. It would have been fine if they were in a liberal atmosphere where they have freedom to talk as much as they want over phone or atleast for Sooraj to visit her ocasionally.
But in SURYA's case there is a big barrier called Bhabo who simply does not like her son expressing love for his wife.
Imagine Sandhya is away. Sooraj definetely will have missing moments. But whenever he does some mistake over this missing moments what he will get. Taunts and more taunts from Bhabo on why she was correct that Sandhya should never have been allowed IPS. Because he allowed her to go for IPS he has to suffer. She will never give him permission to go and visit his wife as she doesnt consider it fit for a man to miss his better half. Remember how rudely she made Mohit drop Sandhya at her maayka during chutki's birth and how angry she was when Sooraj visited Sandhya's maayka without her permission.
Ok now let us assume they have the phone and Sooraj calls and speaks to her. GG room will be open and Bhabo will monitor that also in addition to phone bills. Any extra amount on phone bill will be questioned and Sooraj has to answer the expenditure of his own hard earned money and he has to justify it why he was spending so much talking to his wife. So all this will make Sooraj do some activities chupke chupke and he will never be able to express himself to Sandhya completely and will not be in a position to offer complete emotional support which she might badly need.
Now coming to Sandhya. She had lived a cocoon life before marriage and after marriage also we can say a sheltered life as Sooraj was there to hold her every step. It is for the first time she is on her own without any emotional support. Sandhya's EQ is low and she always try to hold on to relationship even suffering abuse. We had seen it when she agreed for marriage and then suffering in the hands of Bhabo just to hold on to a family because she was afraid to be alone. In IPS training camp she will exactly feel that. Completely alone. With strict training schedules , tougher rules it will be a emotional turmoil for Sandhya to handle it without someone to fall back on. She might not tell all her troubles to Sooraj as she might not want him to worry as she know he cannot come because of Bhabo. So Sandhya herself will have to meander through problems and it is maybe here they are gonna place Neil's character. The emotional support of Sandhya as a good friend.
But it is going to be a tough thing for SURYA with Bhabo in middle
