Pratigya felt her head getting heavy , her vision blurring as she wallowed in despair , watching him climb up the steps... 'malik!' she heard someone shout n saw him turning to look at her ...Krishna threw his suitcase away as he ran down the steps , his heart skipping several beats as he watched her sag , her hands reaching out for him...hold me! She thought desperately , her heart beat receding even as she felt happiness at the way he was running at her...pratigya felt blackness engulf her even as she felt his arms scooping her up , catching her before she hit the floor... Krishna gasped softly , cradling her in his arms, his face concerned n shocked ...' pratigya?' he called her , feeling panicky ... he climbed the steps up , ignoring the surprised look of the guards n a servant who picked up his suitcase ... 'what...what happened?' asked gayatri, standing up in shock , although her eyes twitched in panic n relief ... He was carrying her , which meant she has managed to have some effect on him! Which was vital to their plan ... N he is carrying her! Which meant she is having some effect on him, which could be dangerous!...
sajjan looked around , his eyes narrowing ... 'what happened Krishna?' asked chandu feeling concerned ... 'Nothing!' Krishna gritted his teeth , as he placed her over a couch , wishing they were left alone!... 'bring some water' said pratap, running a caring hand over pratigya's head... Krishna looked up at him, feeling strange ... Sajjan placed his hand over his shoulders n Krishna turned towards him, hugging him... sajjan checked his arms , his eyes moist ... 'glad that nothing bad happened...I was so worried' he chuckled good naturedly , patting krishna's cheek ...'yeah, we were so worried... N u got urself injured for no reason!' said gayatri , looking at his arms... Krishna ignored her ... His mind was so full of pratigya...what happened to her all of a sudden?... a maid came n pratap sprinkled water over pratigya's face ... she opened her eyes, red n tired ...she blinked , trying to sit up but pratap held her arms ... 'no need beti... Take rest...' her eyes looked up at to meet krishna's ... 'u can go to ur room... Get changed quickly ...its ur pag phere n the car from ur home will be arriving in an hour!' said gayatri , her eyes slits on pratigya... she looked really tired thought gayatri , her eyes glinting in malice ... could it be possible? Has she been able to get Krishna interested in her ? she will have to find out...
'let her sit for some time' said pratap , looking at gayatri ... Krishna wrenched his eyes from her eyes n walked towards the stairs , chandu following him...sajjan received an important call n he walked towards the courtyard ...gayatri glared at pratap n went to meera's room... she must know what happened between that girl n him!... pratigya looked at pratap in gratitude , just as she remembered the medicines ...'er...chandu ...bhaiyya' she called tentatively , her voice low... chandu stopped in his tracks up the stairs , surprised n shocked ... he looked up at krishna's form who by now was at the top of the stairs n didn't hear pratigya n turned to face pratigya ... Pratap was looking at pratigya in surprise too...' these r his medicines for his shoulder n arms n knees...2 times a day...I...he didn't put it on his knee in the morning...' She said, her voice defeated , walking towards chandu , holding out the medicines ... chandu stared at her , his eyes hard ... she looked up at him, wondering why wasn't he taking the medicines ... chandu could feel his mind asking various questions even as he extended his hand to accept the medicines ... pratigya smiled weakly at him n walked towards the kitchen corridor , her legs feeling heavy... chandu gazed at her for long before turning around n climbing up the stairs ...
Pratigya staggered against the door to her room in the far end of the corridor n felt sumitra's hands securing her... She looked up at sumitra , her eyes brimming , as the pain finally reached its breaking point ... no! don't u dare cry! She heard her sane part shout at her n she forced a smile ...'how r u , beti?' sumitra asked, concerned ...' I am good...maji..' pratigya said, feeling warm as she looked up into her eyes , the feeling of the word having a new meaning altogether ...'how is he? I mean..his injuries..' sumitra asked, trying to keep her voice casual ...pratigya smiled ...'he is alright...' ... sumitra searched her face...' did ...did he hurt u...in any way?' she asked , her voice low n painful... pratigya felt her eyes streaming even as she fought her tears ...'no...' ...sumitra looked at her alarmed ... 'did he...?' she asked , her voice choking ... Pratigya gazed at her through teary eyes , n clasped her frail hands desperately ...'I ...I don't know maji... I ...leave me alone...pls...' she fought for breath for a moment , sobbing , before running inside her room n shutting the door... sumitra stared at the door in concern as pratigya sagged down, sobbing against the door... she can't wait to see her mother!... to forget him!
She looked up , startled as she heard a knock at her door... she dabbed her eyes frantically n opened the door to find meera standing infront of her... she was shocked even as meera entered the room, bolting the door... 'ur father wanted me to ask u whether u managed to get malik use u or not?' meera asked her, her face mocking n filled with jealousy ... pratigya stared at her , feeling pain rip her heart... oh! What should she say? She won't be allowed to meet her mother if they knew the truth! ... pratigya felt her mouth becoming dry ... she gulped in panic...
Krishna threw his belt on the floor , before slumping down on his bed in anger... why r u bothered? ... she just fainted! ... But she looked so tired ... don't think about her! ...n u forgot to ask her about her spying! ... 'feeling tired?' chandu enquired , coming to the room... 'hmmm...' Krishna hummed lazily ... 'sit up... Someone told me to apply this on ur knee...' said chandu , looking at Krishna ... Krishna snapped open his eyes to glare at chandu , his eyes filled with a sudden flash of happiness...'she ...?'... n then anger...'what do u...?' he began but chandu cut across him casually ... 'how was the deal?' ...krishna glared at him in anger...' chandu , answer me! What do u mean?' he snapped at him... chandu looked perturbed ...'what? ...Krishna sat up , pulling chandu by collar towards him...'stop this right now chandu! What did she say?'... ...'she ? oh! That maid! ...nothing ! just to apply this...' he began but stopped as Krishna pushed him away , swearing...' she is not a maid! ...she...' he began , but stopped , angry at himself ... ...'I just can't understand Krishna! Pratigya was about to open her mouth when they heard his voice boom all over the hall...'rakesh! call pratigya ! ... now!...' pratigya shivered at the sheer authority in the voice ...meera glared at her as though she was seeing a ghost ... gayatri n pratap came to the hall, perturbed ...sajjan who was at in the hall , looked up to see Krishna at the top of the stairs ... He looked at his son in curiosity as Krishna gazed at the kitchen corridor , his eyes slits, his heart beating faster... pratigya made to open the door , her heart fluttering , when meera pushed her backwards , her face contorted in envy...' what did u do, bitch? ...what hocus focus did u do to get malik have u?... n malik knows ur name!!!!' meera spat at her ... pratigya staggered back, angry... 'move away!' she said , glaring at meera... 'U!...' meera began but stopped as she heard rakesh's voice...'malik wants to see u...' from the other side of the door... Pratigya pushed a shocked meera aside n opened the door ... She saw sumitra gazing at her n meera in confusion from the other end as she walked towards the hall... her heart was hammering...gayatri watched her walk towards the foot of the stairs , her eyes locked on to his, not looking anywhere else ... Krishna held her gaze , his heart n mind waging war inside him...what r u doing krishna? U r going to make a complete fool of urself! ... he gritted his teeth...' u r shifting to my room , now , this very moment ... ur status will be the same! As a maid! But my personal maid!...' he paused gazing at all, making sure they heard him...sajjan looked at him in exasperation , even as his eyes flashed at pratigya... just 2 days n she made him shift her to his room! He glared at pratigya , his eyes narrowing in wariness ...
pratigya felt the pangs of pain even as she felt her heart flutter madly... Oh no! she will be with him in his room! She didn't know whether to feel sad or happy at the prospect...either way she is doomed ...why is he adamant on giving her hell! ...gayatri glared at her , feeling glee at the fact that the girl finally managed to get inside his room...! But ...its not going the way she thought it would go! thought gayatri , fearful... she had thought that he would take her as his mistress! slave!... Not as a maid! Which meant he hasn't touched her till now! ...he is able to control his lust for her! Which is not at all a good sign!...n he rarely allowed anybody inside his room other than chandu n sajjan! This is getting dangerous! ...' Come up, I want u now in my room!' krishna said, walking back... 'er...krishna, she needs to get ready to go to her pag phere by...' gayatri began but krishna cut her short...' she can go for that stupid rasam after I have finished with her...in my room, now!' he snapped at pratigya n walked to his room... pratigya looked down, feeling her cheeks burn in shyness n embarrassment... what ? why r u feeling shy pratigya? Don't u want to see ur mother? Isn't he delaying it? ... N why the hell r u blushing? ...he just humiliated u again in front of all ! ... She was climbing the steps even as she thought about it...krishna glared at chandu as he entered his room...'out!... n beware chandu , this is the last time u talk nonsense about her !' he snapped at chandu , angry ... 'I don't get why r u so mercurial all of a sudden!' chandu muttered audibly , but didn't look at him , trying to hide his eyes n went to the corridor ... he saw pratigya walking towards him n he felt krishna's angry stare on him ... he just walked past pratigya, not looking at her...
pratigya stood uncertainly at the door, looking down as Krishna ran a frustrated hand through his hair n snapped... 'what? Do u want aarti n thaal to enter?' ... U r making a complete fool of urself krishna! Don't behave like a silly teenager! I don't care!... pratigya felt a bit amused at his mood , even though her heart was hammering away in her chest... She felt an insane urge to ask him why was he shouting for no apparent reason , n her lips twitched in a smile , restraining herself from actually asking...what is happening to her? ...Her world has turned upside down n she is smiling at the very person's various mood swings who is responsible for everything in the first place! ...u r insane pratigya!... ...'what r u smirking at?' she heard him snap again n felt jolted ...she looked up at him n shook her head, suddenly tensed... he stared hard at her, as she slowly glided into the room, her eyes scared ... Krishna sat down on a couch , his eyes roving over her...'close that door, maid!' he barked at her, irritated at himself n chandu... Think again Krishna! U don't want her anywhere near u! ...what r u doing? correction ! I don't want her anywhere near that...that woman again!... then get her another room! ...there r so many spare ones!...why do u want her in ur room? ... I don't know! I want to ...see her all the time!...no!... I just want to cut down her accesses in the house!... n find out what she is upto! ...
pratigya closed the door, feeling pained n scared...'why did u spy on me?' he asked her , his eyes slits on her... pratigya , shivered , shocked , as she met his piercing eyes ...'sp...spied?' she stammered , not understanding what he meant... 'don't u dare play innocent with me, maid! ...what were u doing down in my basement at my apartment?' he thundered , anger n confusion filling him... He was not liking her scared eyes... pratigya inhaled, going pale... 'I...I was just ... The doctor said u should take rest...so ...I... I was coming to call u...I mean stop u from doing anything...' she stuttered, deciding to tell the truth... Krishna gaped at her for a moment , before he started laughing ... pratigya felt her skin hair raise at the sheer coldness in his laugh ... She fisted her hands to stand steadily , looking at his amused face ...'is that all? I believe u!...' Krishna sneered at her, standing up n walking towards her... Pratigya could tell that he was mocking her again! He hadn't believed one word! Ofcourse why would he? ... her reason sounded pathetic even to herself! ... but the damage was done!... she stumbled backwards in trepidation, feeling panic... Krishna was suppressing the kind of insane anger now boiling inside him... She came there to see to it that he doesn't exert himself... Ofcourse, the doctor said! His foot!... how easily she is lying!... but...but...u saw her eyes when she was applying the medicine on u! ...she was so concerned... No! its all her drama! ...
Pratigya backed away to the wall n Krishna cornered her, not touching her but his face livid yet amused , just inches away from hers... 'just suppose I believe u maid, why did u run away?' ...he asked , his voice still cold... 'I..I was ..scared ...I ...' Pratigya said , not meeting his eyes, fisting her shawl , her breathe coming in short pants... Krishna chuckled ...'oh! U were scared ! then why did u stand there for a considerable amount of time? Waiting to get scared?!' he asked her, his tone dangerous... pratigya gulped , meeting his piercing eyes ... Krishna felt himself getting disturbed by her frantic, fearful gaze... 'I am giving u a second chance... Do u want to change ur ridiculous reason for coming down there?' he asked , feeling frustrated ... Pratigya stared at him...'no..I ...' Pratigya began, but looked around in shock she heard a knock in the door...'krishna ...did u eat anything beta?' came gayatri's voice from the other side...she couldn't control her anxiety n panic as she wanted to find out what exactly was going on ... Krishna gritted his teeth n turned his face sideways to the direction of the door n barked.. ...'I will eat when I want... Go away!' ... gayatri pursed her lips , tensed n angry ... she walked away fuming ...krishna walked back to the couch, irritated , leaving pratigya panting slightly against the wall... she looked at him tentatively ... 'so! from today onwards , u will stay in here... N u won't ever enter the way beyond the kitchen corridor , is that clear? ...' he asked , his eyes boring into hers... pratigya nodded , confused ...' u can go now! n get my breakfast here...' he said, relaxing back, feeling strange ... pratigya looked up at him ...'u said I shouldn't go towards the kitchen corri...' she began but stopped as Krishna's eyes flashed at her ...
Krishna gritted his teeth , his eyes on her...oh! So she is trying to make him say what is really in his mind! N he thought she could be innocent!...'u very well know what I meant by that maid! Don't pretend!' he snapped at her ... pratigya looked at him in bewilderment , feeling confused n pained ...' I don't understand...' she began cautiously but stopped again as his gaze turned cold...he stood up n walked to her swiftly , his featured trembling in anger...pratigya didn't even get time to back away , but to gasp in panic as he pulled her by elbow to him , his face inches from hers ...'don't play games with me, bitch! U very well know what I meant!... been glad that u have found the perfect company here ...weren't u? my moth...that woman!...just as greedy! Just as lying , filth! ... If I have any hint that u two r getting cozier n busy plotting , I assure u , ur father n his politics can go to hell! ...I will be peeling the flesh off ur bone!...' he snarled at her...pratigya trembled in his grip, tears falling down her cheeks... what is he saying? She couldn't think! Her mind was so caught up at the way he addressed her , hatred in his voice...she didn't even hear the rest of his accusation...pain assaulted her like never before... Krishna pushed her away n she staggered back , trying to hold on to something...anything...her hand secured around the nearby table n she held on , fighting her tears...
Krishna looked at her, his head cooling off a bit as he watched her cry...no! don't get fooled by her tears ! tears r the greatest weapon on women!...he turned around as he heard a knock at the door...'krishna?' called pratap ...Krishna took a deep breath n walked to open the door...pratap gazed in concern at pratigya before addressing Krishna ...'sajjan asked me to call u downstairs for breakfast...come...' Krishna nodded , running his hand through his hair...'did u eat anything beti?' pratap asked pratigya...Krishna glared at him as he said ...'no need...she will be eating at her house...' he said , walking out of his room...'n u don't need to worry over what I do with my maid! Whether she has eaten or not!' he said to pratap , his eyes cold... pratap shrugged sadly ...'I was worried about another human, that's all...' he said, his eyes on krishna's face... human! Krishna laughed slightly ...'the car from ur home will be arriving anytime beti, get ready' pratap said to her , his face sad... 'n tell ur father about the welcome u got here, maid!' krishna called out to her, walking along the corridor ... gr8 KST! U r doing just gr8!... she must have thought that she had u in her bag when u allowed u inside ur room...! Now she will know that she was mistaken!...pratap stared at pratigya for some secs , before following Krishna down the corridor...
pratigya took deep breathes to steady herself... she looked at the place where was a moment ago, his hurtful words stinging her every cell... no! don't be weak pratigya! U don't want to fall for such a man who is capable of hurting u like hell n beyond !... get away from him as soon as possible! Save ur mother ! that's the only thing u should be thinking about now!... she steadied herself , dabbing her eyes... she blinked ... she is in his room...atlast... the files! She should get the files! Somehow...anyhow!... she looked around frantically even as she went out of the room... Her mother! She will be seeing her mother soon! Escape from all the horror filling her!...escape to her mother's bosom...atleast for sometime!
