Chapter 44

AT KARTHIK'S RESIDENCE:

It is 11 o' clock in the night and Karthik is sitting in the terrace waiting for Raji's call. He is sitting there for almost one hour and is fondly remembering the time they both spent together in the terrace. He realizes how restlessly he is waiting for her call. He wonders why is this happening to him, since yesterday. He is unable to answer himself and is surrounded with infinite questions. Breaking his thought process his mobile rings.

Karthik: helloo...

Raji: enna panre?

Karthik: maadi la ukkaanthittu un phone kaaga waiting...

Raji: Sorry... Late aayiduchi...

Karthik: paravaa illai... velai adhigamaa irundhuchaa?

He ends the call and feels happy.

Next two days pass away so fast with all of them working hard to complete the project in time. Raji comes to Office on Saturday to assist Susan and finds Karthik, Vishnu and Lakshmi too there. The entire team works dedicatedly and completes the project.

On Sunday they have a trial run in front of Viswanathan who appreciates all the members of Susan team for coming forward to help their Project Manager. He congratulates them as the final product has come out well.

Returning from office, Vishnu packs his bags, says bye to Karthik and Lakshmi and returns home. Karthik and Lakshmi feel so deserted and realize how Raji and Vishnu have occupied their lives, without whom they feel so empty and lonely.

VISHNU'S HOME:

Vishnu's parents are glad to see him back home. He gives his father a watch and his mother a silk saree and other gifts that he bought for them in Bangalore. After dinner, Vishnu is busy with his laptop in his room and his mother comes in. when she says that she needs to talk to him if he was free, he puts his laptop aside and asks his mother to sit. She sits on his bed and starts her conversation.

Amma: velai adhigamaa paa... Naan naduvula thondharavu panrenaa?

Vishnu: maa... appadiyellaam onnum illa... Sollunga...

Amma: Office la velai adhigamaa irukkaa nnu ketten...

Vishnu: aamaa...
