No, she is Mr. Kierlosker's mother...in one of the episodes, Kaalinde mentions that if she had not met her and she had not helped, Kaalinde would still be in that hell (of her previous marriage).
As for the name, from what I have learned, it is used for both grandmothers.

G
Dear aaju is for both dadi and nani in marathi . I am 100% sure of that since i am marathi and call them like that. No questions of confusion here. She is avadhoot's mother. kalindi's mother is also called the same . So shlok will call anjali's mother aaji too.

Okay...just logged in and reading through the post...wow Shaktipeeth discussion...awesome...

just finished catching up with the episode...it was obvious all the women including anjali were hating it...Dear Sojal is the only clueless woman here...In her own world...

Actually today's episode has a clue, why Shlok is directly not opposing his parents but is making AStha strong enough to do it.

Varad gave the clue...he tried to say in simple polite and humble way that he doesnt like thia crap.
What happened..he earned the wrath of his father and had to sit for the pooja. Varad has also told Sojal clearly that she should fight her fights with Anjali...she doesn't listen.

So being decent good boy and politely giving your opinions regarding equality does not work in A planet. Varad has tried that route and he only earns wrath of his father.

So Shlok is doing it another way...instigating wifey dear..when she opposes openly..he will support her...then other people in the family who never liked it will come out in the open with support for her actions...and Baba dear has to give in order to " look good", preserve his self image and no doubt heap the blame on Anjali.

Fits with Parashuram theory we concocted yesterday...the only way he can give life to his family is opposing Baba through Astha( Axe) while remaining in good books of Baba...

Ya Avdhoot's suspension etc looks too much for pretensions for a father...
Lets see how they bring in Avdhoot with all this.
