T here has been talk about actress Sai Deodhar acting difficult on the sets of Ek Ladki Anjanii Si (Sony). It seems, she has been inter- fering in the script and even refusing to say her lines of dialogue unless they're changed to suit her whims. She also, apparently, doesn't agree to do any OTS (over the shoulder) shots, which require her to keep her back to the camera. She insists that a body dou- ble handle such scenes. Ask her about this and she clari- fies, "There's not a shred of truth in it. I know that one of my co-actor's is spreading all sorts of rumours about me. I don't take success seriously. I'm a very level-headed and professional person." She expresses concerns about the manner shows are being pulled off the air; "The insecurity levels are quite high these days. And I'm not immune to that. Serials with great themes are being wrapped up, given the audience's shift- ing tastes." The actress believes that the pro- gramming content is going through the transition phase. She adds, "There's no channel loyalty now. The reason being that all shows are more or less the same. There's nothing unique about them." Insecure and me? Quiz her about the possibility of Ek Lad- kii..going off the air, and Deodhar remarks, "I'm not ruling that out. I have stopped long-term planning because of the insecurities associated with my pro- fession. But, I know how to live with these insecurities. My dad has been in the same field. Nothing is permanent in this career. Not even your success." What's in her kitty apart, from the Sony show? "I always keep a back-up plan ready. In case Ek Ladki goes off air, you won't find me in a lurch for sure. Details are being worked out." Is she referring to Saara Aakash?
