zu kn Saras treats her as a sister.. Didn't u see when Kusum cut the Mohan's name from da weddin card n wrote Saras on it n she tore da card. da piece of card flew away n landed infront of da door... When Saras came there to give a beautiful saari to Kumud he stepped on da piece of wedding card.. (Man 1ly give Saari to dat person whom he loves da most/his wife)... It means dat he will not accept Kusum as her behalf...
