let's see. their relationship is pretty much made up of bad sex (see was looking out the window the entire time), him being an ego maniac, and things happened for his convenience. I'd say it is pretty cruel to keep another person tied to you like that.

your kid is half of you. that's a given in most cases but just saying any child who sees their mother treated like crap will hate their father no matter how good he to the child.

in case of a child, they say neglect is a form of abuse. I don't think one could use the same logic in case of an adult. so I am not saying he is abusive.

but in my book, what he does is cruel, small degree of cruel, but cruel still.

I wasn't consciously trying to make a feminist statement. that thought never crossed my head until you brought it up. I guess I have always wanted a daughter and for me to provide her with all the things I never had. gosh, it is so set in my head that I don't think twice about what the perceptions of society are in terms of gender and property division and it reflects in my stories. times like this, I am content with my thoughts and know better than to question their feasibility. plus, there must be a man, somewhere in the world who doesn't hold boys on a pedestal. I hope I meet one someday.

I believe ..The moment of desperation still will be the culmination of all those moments with and without love when compared against each other that might force one to take that drastic step (whatever it is) ( pardon me if I confused you here hehe...it's just that I knew some women abused by their husbands..guess they survived each day coz they believed that they HAVE to..Hence I arrived at the conclusion that it solely depends on lady's power of tolerance...one might endure it a lifetime and the other might decide to walk out for a slap ) !!

I was with you for the first part until you brought in abuse. because living day to day, is thriving on his emotional manipulation. that ain't love. and if it is, lord keep me away from the hell called love.
