"Due to post production and the length of the film, we had to delay the release. Reducing the duration of the film from three hours and 38 minutes to almost two hours took a long time. We are now in the process of finalizing the dates of its release," the director said. The film was entirely shot in Jaipur - some of the locations include St Xaviers School, a private university and few heritage properties in and around the city.
Model turned actor Yash, who has done TV shows like Palampur Express, Bairi Piya, Pyar ki Yeh Ek Kahani, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge andYeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is all set for a new innings on the big screen. Gera was very enthusiastic when he was offered the film. But the delay in release turned out to be a little disappointing for him as the actor had put his television assignments on hold. "When you are a newcomer and do not have a mentor, you end up to taking some wrong decisions. I gave a back seat to my TV shows, that too at a time when I was doing good on the small screen. But anyways, this was my destiny. I have no regrets and I'm happy that the film is finally releasing. Most probably it will hit screens either in December or January," shares Yash.
Since there are a few other Bollywood projects in the pipeline, he wants to consider various factors before taking up any other film. "Banner being the most important for me, director is another factor that I would consider before signing a film. I am taking baby steps in Bollywood, and I don't want to commit any mistakes," says he. Recently, a preview of the film was organized in Delhi, Gera's home town. "The audience were all praises for me. I am happy that critics have liked my performance and appreciated my acting skills," he adds.
