Jeevika woke up almost at noon on the first day in their new home. She went downstairs to see Viren and Zaaine fixing around the small details of the house. Zaaine was putting their family pictures inside the frame as Viren was hammering them up on the wall. Jeevika walked near Viren and finally got his attention.
v - "Look whose awake!"
j - "Good morning"
v - "You mean good afternoon. You slept a full 14 hours"
j - "Viren"
v - "Yes sleeping beauty"
j - "Don't call me that"
v - "Why not"
Jeevika's face was a mix of anger and frustration, and her big eyes started swelling a little making Viren realize that she was going to cry if he didn't shut up and be nice to her.
v - "Okay okay I'm sorry. You worked so hard all week packing and doing everything unlike me so I'm glad you slept that long"
j - "Don't say it if you don't mean it" she said angrily
v - "But I do mean it"
j - "No, you don't. Don't talk to me" she said walking away.
Jeevika was walking towards to the stairs to go back up when Zaaine nagged on Viren and told him to go get Jeevika. He knew his parents to well, and knew his dad just got his mom very anger. Viren smiled at him and quickly reached the stairs and picked up Jeevika.
j - "Leave me alone"
v - "Not happening" he said carrying her to the couch.
j - "I'll just go upstair when you put me down"
v - "I won't let go of you then" he said smirking at her
j - "Don't look at me like that"
v - "Don't threaten me like that then. What do you want for breakfast? Oh wait its too late for breakfast, I mean lunch" he smiled at her putting her down on the couch
j - "Again you've started?"
v - "No... come on tell me what do you want to eat? You didn't eat last night either"
j - "I don't want anything"
v - "Not even ice cream?"
j - "No"
z - "Daa I want ice cream"
v - "No only Jeevika can have ice cream, no one else"
z - "Why not?" he said sadly
j - "You can eat all of it Zaaine, I don't want it" she said trying to get up from the couch
Viren stood right in front of her not letting her move forcing her to sit back down on the couch.
j - "What do you want from me now?"
Viren sat down on the couch then lay down in her lap.
v - "How about the three of us go out today?"
j - "I'm not in the mood to go anywhere and there's a lot of work to be done at home"
v - "We have plenty of time to finish everything. You're exhausted too so lets all just go take a break"
z - "Daa remember?"
j - "What Zaaine?"
v - "He wants us to take him for a movie"
j - "How about both of you go together and I'll stay at home"
z - "No mommy you're gonna come also"
j - "Zaaine no you go with Viren. He'll take you for lunch also"
v - "Who agreed to that?"
j - "I did"
v - "Okay lets go get ready Zaaine. I'm giving you 30 minutes Jeevika... take a nap and then you're coming with us"
Zaaine ran upstairs to his room and Viren and Jeevika went to their room. While Viren went to the bathroom Jeevika cuddled back up in her bed. She loved how cozy their new home was especially their bedroom. When Viren came out he saw Jeevika asleep again and didn't know how to wake her up. Zaaine came to his parents room all ready with his shoes on and looked at a disturbed Viren.
z - "What happened?"
v - "Jeevika's asleep again"
z - "AGAIN? Mommy sleeps a lot"
v - "I know. Let me try waking her up"
v -
v - "Jeevika"
j - "Hmm" she said waking up suddenly
v - "You want to come for the movie?"
Jeevika saw Zaaine standing on the side and saw his sad little face.
j - "Okay fine" she said getting up from her bed. She sat on the bed and looked at Viren and Zaaine who looked happy at her deciding to come with them.
v - "Go get ready fast. Both of us are waiting downstairs"
j - "Ok coming"
Viren went downstairs with Zaaine following him. When Jeevika got downstairs from showering she saw both of them checking out the movie timings on the iPad.
j - "Ready to go"
z - "Yesss" he said running out to the garage.
The three of them quickly got into the car and Viren started driving away.
j - "After the movie we have to go for shopping"
v - "What? Who agreed for shopping?"
j - "I didn't agree for a movie either did I?"
v - "You had to for Zaaine"
j - "Yeah just because he's the only child for two more months"
v - "What do you need to shop for anyways?"
j - "Then nursery"
v - "Ohhh that shopping! I don't mind that" 😛
j - "Of course you don't, but you mind if I have to go shopping"
v - "Because you take forever to decide on one thing, especially now. You take thirty minutes, then I tell you it looks great then you say forget about it. Then we are about to leave the store and you change your mind again"
j - "Okay okay well we're not going for my shopping even though I will need clothes for the reunion party"
v - "Before your outfit we need to decide where we will leave Zaaine?"
z - "Leave me? Where you guys leaving me"
v - "We both have to go to San Diego for one weekend"
z - "Why?"
v - "For our college reunion. We're going meet our old friends"
z - "Me come too. There lots of fishes and dolphins in San Diego"
v - "But we're not going to Sea World"
z - "Why not? You no take me?"
Jeevika looked back at Zaaine who suddenly seemed sad at the thought of being left alone. His face started getting red and tears started coming out from his eyes.
j - "Zaaine don't cry. If you don't want us we won't go okay"
Viren looked through the mirror and couldn't believe his son was actually crying at the thought of them leaving him.
v - "Okay we won't go okay. Don't cry though. Look we're both are taking you for a movie and you're going to keep crying?"
z - "No" he said quietly.
As soon as they reached Jeevika picked Zaaine up and the three went to watch a movie with Zaaine clinging onto his parents more than ever afraid of them leaving him.
