Part 20
It was 5 pm.Khushi didn't tell her dad aka the General about the note.She just hoped nothing bad would happen when she reached the address.Khushi looked around at her surroundings.She had arrived at the given address.There was a huge mansion,far from the other houses.Khushi took a deep breath before ringing the doorbell.Panther opened the door and smiled at her "Very punctual"
Khushi remained expressionless.Pulling handcuffs out of her purse,she held it in front of him "I hope you like my gift"
Panther stared at Khushi,not saying a word.A moment of silence filled the air.Panther grabbed Khushi''s wrist and suddenly pulled her in the mansion.Khushi yelped.Panther slammed the door shut,not bothering to lock it "Come"
Arnav dragged her inside to what looked like a living room.There was no one but Sam,who was sitting on the sofa.He looked up at Panther and glanced at Khushi "I've had enough of you" he growled.Khushi looked confused while Panther remained expressionless.Sam got up and walked towards Panther,ignoring Khushi.Panther let go of Khushi and stared at Sam.Sam stared at Panther and suddenly grabbed his neck with his hands.Khushi gasped.Panther remained expressionless "Every single day you create an order and treat us like slaves...to be honest all this tim I was only tolerating you because I..I wanted to take over your spot" growled Sam,tightening his hold on Panther's neck "Don't you think you've been ruling for a bit too long?"
Sam felt a cold metal touch his back "I agree with you Sam but I don't think you are suitable to take Panther's spot" came Anal's sharp voice "It should be me"
"Tch tch" said Panther "Already planning my funeral"
"Let go of Panther" ordered Anal,ignoring Panther.
Sam reluctantly let go.The rest of the gang suddenly appeared from the hallway.Khushi didn't know what to do.Anal pressed the gun against Sam's head and shot him.Khushi gasped and covered her mouth with her hands.Sam fell to the ground,dead.Panther still remained expressionless.Anal looked at Panther and raised his gun at him "I know your truth Panther" Panther stared at Anal "Or should I say Major Arnav Singh Raizada"
Khushi stared at Arnav astonished.Arnav smirked "Took you long enough"
"I always had my doubts" said Anal "You always went out...we thought it was our kind of business but really you were meeting the General and your team"
Arnav nodded "Yes it is true"
Loud sirens filled the air "Police" whispered Anal,lowering the gun.
Arnav smirked.The police burst in "This time we have got triple our team" told Arnav "We will be sending you to America for better justice"
As Anal and the rest of the gang glared at Arnav,the police took over and took them away,including Sam's dead body.It was just him and Khushi left.Khushi didn't know what to say or how to react.She had just got the biggest shock of her life.Arnav smiled at Khushi and took a step towards her.Khushi slowly raised her eyes up to his and just gazed.Arnav looked at her.Wrapping his arms around her,he pulled her body against his.Khushi hesitantly and slowly wrapped her arms against him "A-Arnav" Sighing against her hair,he let her go but kept her close to him "A-Arn-nav h-how-"
Arnav placed his lips on hers,silencing her.Khushi closed her eyes at the feeling.She felt like giving in and this time she knew nothing was wrong with it.Khushi held Arnav's shoulders,closing the smallest gap between them.Breaking the kiss,Arnav resting his forehead against hers "Come with me"
He held her hand and took her to the sofa.Holding her shoulders,he made her sit down and sat down next to her.Holding her hand,Arnav gazed into her eyes,lovingly "Khushi I am sorry for keeping this secret from you"
"B-but A-Arn-nav how?"
Arnav smiled at her "I am part of the police Khushi,a major..the highest rank.I have been trained to be part of the police since my childhood" Khushi nodded wanting to know more "Panther was the biggest criminal three years ago.We could never get a hold on him.One day we actually caught him.I and some other officers had managed to track him down.We were following him in our car while he was driving.He found out and began driving crazy.We followed him.He looked behind and that's when he drove into a huge tree.It shattered the windshield which pierced into his skin.We took him to the hospital and the doctor confirmed he was in coma.It had been about half a year.The General,officers and I myself didn't know what to do but suddenly one of the officers realized there was a similarity between me and Panther.Since his face was covered with blood,we first couldn't tell but when the doctor and nurses cleaned him up,we realized our faces matched.I looked exactly like him" Khushi widened her eyes "The General and officers decided to send me as Panther to Panther's gang so I could find out their secrets and get rid of the underworld.The gang immediately believed it was me.I stayed with them for about half a year and found out about Aarze.I found out he had a niece.I thought she would be another kind of dangerous gangster but when I got to know her better I realized she was just an innocent girl who was waiting to be loved" Khushi looked at him a bit confused "It's you Khushi..you are Aarze's niece"
Khushi gasped "Me?" She looked at him in realization why she was always chased and kidnapped.Suddenly something clicked into her mind and she looked at him "Y-you thought I-I was a c-criminal when y-you first met m-me?"
Arnav straightened up and looked away "I had a feeling you weren't but I couldn't take any chances"
Khushi stood up "So you played with my feelings..you never loved me!"
Arnav looked up at Khushi immediately "What? Khushi I do love you.I always did and always will...in fact a few days before you confessed your love to me,I had already realized my love for you"
He held her hand and pulled her,making her sit on the sofa "Then why did you begin lying to me?" she whispered.
Arnav looked at her "I had no choice..trust me Khushi,I wanted our relationship to develop well but the gang had began to doubt if I was the real Panther so to make sure they believed I was the real Panther and also to keep you safe,I broke up with you and told you that you were only time pass for me...I didn't want to"
"Then why did you kidnap me at the party"
"I...I missed you and even though I got good daily reports of you,I wanted to see you with my own eyes and spend some time with you"
"But the police,when you saved me from those kidnappers?" Khushi asked.
"Anal had a doubt on me that I was part of the police so that's why I got the police to follow me" explained Arnav "I had a GPS chip on you Khushi to make sure you were protected"
"But dad came to save me"
"I sent him..in fact I didn't exactly leave you in front of his doorstep" said Arnav.
Flashback
Khushi lay unconscious in Arnav's arms.Arnav rang the doorbell.The General opened the door.Arnav picked Khushi up and walked in.Laying her on a bed,he kissed her forehead "I'll miss you" he whispered.
"I'll take good care of her Arnav" promised the General.
Arnav smiled at him "I know"
Flashback Ends
"He's my father"
Khushi widened her eyes "What" she whispered.
Arnav nodded "He is..that's why I left you there with him"
"But then why did you kidnap me twice?"
Arnav closed his eyes "I was drunk that night...I wasn't in my consciousness...I wasn't supposed to kidnap you but" he sighed and opened his eyes "I want to apologize for my behavior that night..I was just terribly missing you and I also found out you were getting pretty close to that NK so I kind of got..."
"Jealous" finished Khushi with a small smile.
Arnav nodded and sighed.He looked up at Khushi and kneeled on the floor in front of her.Holding her hand,he asked "Khushi...do you..do you still have feelings for me..I mean.."
"Yes of course Arnav" said Khushi "I've always loved you"
Arnav smiled widely "Khushi I want to ask you something that I have always wanted to...Khushi I love you and knowing you love me makes me feel amazing and lucky to have a wonderful girl like you" He gazed into her eyes "Khushi I love you and would you give me the honor of marrying me?Being my wife?Mother of my children and most importantly be my love?My life partner?"
Khushi nodded immediately,tears threatening to spill.She hugged him,jumping off the sofa "I love you" she whispered.
"I love you too" he whispered against her hair.
