That is what I mean, in comparison to the promos the show itself is not that good, the way the story is being portrayed is not very appealing to ME. I'm just expressing my opinion here on IF. As for the similarities between TP and GD: both female leads are from a village, the male leads are not in love with them. Whilst Nikhil is in love with someone els, Anshuman is planning on marrying another girl, the maid's in both shows are similar, in GD everyone is against her apart from Nikhil's uncle, in TP the sister is against Paakhi, and the brother in law is nice to her and is supporting Paakhi, the same way Nikhil's chacha is supporting Laajo. I'm not saying TP and GD are carbon copies of each other. But they are quite similar.

Precisely, he is planning to marry Tanya because according to his sister she fits better in their social group, but he is not in love with Tanya- and if you are saying this is similar to GD, that in itself depicts the differences between the two shows, does it not? A lot of shows have similarities, being from a village is present from almost all shows in this television world! Nikhil's sister is just selfish and hates Laajo because she does not like her dressing sense and believes she is illiterate, etc! she does not care much about her brother, whilst Anshuman's sister does care about him, and is one of the reason why she is after Paakhi. (I can go on and on, and you can give me a million of reasons why its similar😆.. so I wont) What I am saying is, you can find bits and pieces in every shows and be like, oh was that not aired yesterday or last week, in this or that show! - This is the reason why, i found your post a bit like *ooohhh yeh kya bol rahi hai*

But I will say, I understand your disappointment, as I had no idea about this show until after 1 week of its airing, and hence I didn't have much hope and was pleasantly surprised when i caught up with the episodes. So each to their own, I guess😳😃

I love this show, but if you are disappointed then don't watch it! Honestly, I had been getting tired of the shows I had been watching and I love this refreshing concept 😊

I'm really enjoying the show...I think so far the way the characters have been sketched is very appealing and there is nothing ott about the show...it's quite refreshing to see a mature and levelheaded couple who are still getting to know one another and though Anshuman doesn't want to maintain his marriage to Pakhi he is never overtly rude or physical with her which in many shows is quite the norm and apparently 'romantic' these days...anyway you're entitled to your opinion and I hope later on down the line the show manages to hold your interest...

i am so disappointed with the way the show has turned out. I was soo excited about iqbal's re-entry into TV. BUT the episodes are boring! this show reminds me of gustakh dil soo much (i dont watch it but my sister does). why have life ok got two shows on their channel which are quite similar. I know i am not allowed to mention other shows . sorry for the blip. 😳 Also where is the part about Paakhi writing anushman letters but never sending them gone??!!?!

100% agree with you. Well not about the Gustakh Dil part...but how would I know? I gave up after the first episode.

I really wanted to watch it! I was counting the days...but then the first episode...I just didn't like it. It all felt fake and rushed...so then I woke up and realised: THIS IS A LIFE OK SHOWS...THESE SHOWS AREN'T OK AT ALL...THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME. QUIT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. So i didn't watch the second episode and now I'm just not watching it. Though I was curious...maybe it's better now so came to check here...but it seems i made a wise decision.

Everyone here knows: Once you start with a show and continue to watch it's impossible to quit. Even when it starts dragging, even when the storylines become ridiculous...you just can't stop. If you're watching something for months it's impossible to just quit. So you continue. I have the same problem with Ek Boond Ishq now. It started great so i kept watching it...but now that show is looking so cheap and the storyline is ridiculous...this also happend with meri maa and saubhagyavati. Life Ok is just a waste of time. Now I'm stuck to Ek Boond Ishq 🤢 But atleast I'm not stuck to this show.

Go and watch Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Ek Baar Phir...the difference in scale, acting, beautiful well written storylines is huge vs all the Life Ok shows. Life Ok shows look fake and cheap and the stories are childish.

I pass...Ek Boond Ishq is the first and last show of Life Ok I will ever watch.

Julez nice to see you here. You have actually said exactly what I would have stated , so I won't repeat it all over again. I am glad you like this show too.

omg you are righ about life ok shows taking a weird, in-digestable route, ek boond ishq is ridiculous...! I haven't written off Tumahri paakhi as I really like shraddha and iqbal so I'm trying to like the show and giving it a chance...! But I disagree with you about iss pyaar ko...its jus weird! How can a girl fall in love with someone who is physically violent towards her!! Anyway I think we are breaking the law by talking about other shows, we don't want to be punished by other forum users. Lool

I find this show quite enjoyable so far... Its refreshing to see the female lead tackle the issues with her cool and composed approach. And while the male lead's motive is not agreeable, I do not find his ways repulsive to watch... the light-hearted approach makes for better viewing.

Whether or not you like a show, that is your own opinion and you are free to voice it and discuss it, provided that the discussion is within I-F rules. Having said, many of you have compared TP and GD. Comparison topics are not allowed and therefore this topic is closed
