Business Hits 2012 Levels With One Month To Go Thursday 28th November 2013 10.30 IST
Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network The cumulative business of 2013 has hit the level of 2012 with one month to go. The business in 2012 was 2375 crore from 165 releases and if we add the final expected business of Singh Saab The Great and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein we get a similar total for 2013 from 170 releases. The growth in business will be whatever Bullet Raja, R... Rajkumar, Dhoom 3 and the handful of small releases can add. The business in 2011 was 1800 crore from 161 releases so the growth is sure to fall short of levels seen in 2012. The growth in 2013 is likely to be in the 15% range compared to the 32% of 2012 mainly because event films and content based films that have done well while the medium-high budget films have not put up the expected numbers.
Also less films have breached the 100 crore, 75 crore and 50 crore nett mark in 2013 than 2012 though more have crossed the 150 crore nett mark. |
