Part 12: Meant to be

Arnav dint knew why but he felt close to this children. He felt like he knows them and want to be with them. He was enjoying his time with kids rather than in the meeting. He walked with those kids holding his hand either side to find their momma. While he was moving towards the lounge area Aarav and Arushi stopped midway as they glanced over to a couple who had a baby girl holding man's hand, she was around 3years old and was dragging her parents to show the Aquarium.

The man stood in front of the Aquarium and was admiring his daughter's cute antics with glint of amusement show off clearly from his face.

"See daddy! Isn't it cute? This Goldie one" she squealed with excitement in her tone and puppy eyes to her dad so that he gets convinced get a gold fish as a pet for her.

The man just stood there nothing but amazed at his princess with a wide grin adorning his face which is nothing but the over whelming feeling that his daughter was asking him something. Can he deny her? No he can't. He nodded and said "I will get you a Goldie, as my princess commands".

She laughed and pounced on her dad and he embraced her in a bear hug and the girl giggled. And the woman just saw her little family and walked up to them to get the hug. Arnav had a sweet smile adorning his hard and chiseled face.

He guessed it right. Whatever his heart felt and his intuitions were true that this got to be a special day. He hardly smiles but now his happiness is filling his heart with contentment. He gazed towards these kids who made him smile and was quite surprised to see their reaction.

Aarav kept a straight face with a slight sad pout and Arushi was frowning almost at the verge of crying. To console Arushi he kept his hand on her shoulder to which she flinched and a tear streaked down her pale cheek towards her chin. She glanced up at him when he saw tears in her eyes, his heart ached so much seeing her cry. He was beyond surprise that a kid he barely knows is making him feel bad for her.

He kneeled in front of her and took her pretty face in his hands cupping it and smoothly whispered "ssshhh...Angel! What happened sweetheart? Why are you crying?" he asked her and she continued to sob.

When Arushi moved away from him and suddenly started running towards the hall, she just want her momma, only she can comfort her she just want to see her mom badly. When accidentally she has bumped into someone which followed by a sound of something getting break.

On the other hand Arnav and Aarav were following her by pacing towards her. They stopped eventually when they found her bump into someone and the vase from that lady's hold fell from her hand and crashed into pieces.

The lady got very much furious and red with anger throwing daggers at little Arushi and started speaking in her annoying venom dripping annoying voice "OMG you stupid girl! Can't you keep your eyes open while you walk around? See because of you my expensive vase shattered to pieces".

Arushi just continued to sob and Aarav couldn't take and step in between them where as Arnav got furious for the way that lady behaved with her. His features got straight and locking his jaw tight he went towards them and spoke "whatever the loss happened to the vase I will pay for it but I expect an apology for whatever you spoke to this girl NOW!".

She flinched at the choice of words he made but then she surfaced with that and said "whoa whoa Daddy to the rescue, Mr. whoever you are before yelling at me can you let an eye on your daughter so that she doesn't run into people and create mess" with a glint of irritation in her tone visible.

"you will apologize to her and about that vase I am ready to pay you back the double amount but I will not allow you shout on my Angel" he said gritting his teeth and added coldly "or else you will regret messing up with ASR".

As soon as realization about his identity dawned upon her she froze on the spot she was here to present him this vase as a token of appreciation for his help as he had agreed to sign the contract with their company. She can't afford him to be angry and she starts apologizing for her behavior but he immediately stops her and asks her to ask pardon to Arushi and she obliged him.

She sat on her knees in front of Arushi with an awkward smile cooed her "I am Sorry uh..." she fidgeted nervously as she don't know her name.

"my name is Aa--Arushi" Arushi helped her to get out of this embarrassing situation, she smiled wearily at her mentally thanking that she was trying to make the situation less awkward for her, indeed she was regretting to loss her temperament at this sweet girl.

The lady again smiled and with mellowed expression replied "oh Arushi I am so sorry for shouting at you and you know you are really sweet girl that you forgave me for my harsh tone" and kissed her cheek gently and lastly added "your Daddy loves both of you most" pointing at Arnav as he was busy attending a call and left the space.

Aarav and Arushi were just staring wide eyed with awestruck expression and grins plastered on their faces. Their mother always said them the same thing the lady just mouthed. So they just join the dots and come to the conclusion that Arnav is their father.

Khushi always said them that their Daddy was handsome, kind hearted. He loved them both and will protect from all monsters that may be hiding in their cupboards which was a made up fact by Asawari that she fed into the minds of kids so they don't mishandle important things securely kept in there.

As he returned to kids both the kids were grinning ear to ear and as he knelt down to attain their height levels both kids leapt on him and now both his arms were strangled by kids on either side and pecked his cheeks on each side.

Arnav was quite taken aback by surprise and overwhelmed feel of affection for this kids. He hugged them tight in his warm embrace when he heard both kids say "we love you Daddy and we missed you a lot".

Arnav was puzzled but didn't stop them and let them say what they got to say and sat them comfortably on his lap on a nearby couch placed in the lobby. He had a feeling in his heart that this was the reason Arushi cried.

He gently cooed Arushi "what happened Angel, won't you say it to me? Your Dad" to make her comfortable but there was unknown happiness in his heart of being a father figure to someone; it triggered something in his heart which was oblivious to him.

She narrated him the incident when her friend Sophie chided her saying that her father didn't ever to come to school for meets and other events organized and she doesn't have a father and again started to sob when Arnav silenced her by saying everything will be fine and smiled to which both kids smiled widely.

He kissed their foreheads lovingly and got up from the couch, just then Asawari comes over there and call out for kids but both kids don't want to leave their newly found Daddy's side.

Asawari thanks him and then asks for pardon him if kids troubled him and take both kids with her saying that their mother is tensed about kids a lot and anyhow manages to take both kids to the car parked out of the hotel. Both kids turns back and waves him bye and Arnav waves back too.

Asawari was puzzled with Khushi's behavior unable to understand why she forced her to get the kids when she was just few feet's from them and the pain that flashed in her eyes while seeing them added fuel to her curiosity.

On the other hand, Khushi stood there in a silhouetted corner observing her Arnav and taking his image into her eyes as well as her heart after five long years.
