Actually, when I saw him today, I found him very similar to the initial revenge track. We thought that he was redeemed completely, but it is more believable that he has not completely changed as a person. A person's character is not something that changes in 1 year.

At the moment, he is seeing his world (in fact, the love that he received from his fans and the industry is what kept him going - he said that in an old episode) end in front of him as he is losing all attention that he used to get, and Madhu is getting everything. It is an ego issue, but of course, while being understandable, his reaction is not justified, especially given that Madhu is doing all this ONLY for him.
