This is thw Q that had been troubling all of us since yesterday - And now we have the answer - The subjects of the empire follow the emperor out of fear and not love - The Emperor Jalal does not have the undisputed and undiluted love of his people yet - And what a master stroke - An Emperor who has the undisputed love of his people will have their loyalty and this will forever ensure that the praja will not rise in revolt against him under the behekawa of ppl like Shariffudin and Adham.

material possession is not everything in world

akbar did not have a father whom he could run to and hide behind when in fear or in pain and tears. Men usually do not share their griefs with women of house they share it with father or brother or son and akbar has none of them currently with him

akbar did not have loyal family/friends and majority betrayed him like elder brother adham khan bro-in-laws sharifuddin/abu mali or milk-mother maham anga

akbar did not have peace of mind in palace what with so many family problems and wives fighting all the time in harem

and most important he did not have a SON to share his joy and tears. Like i said a man shares his griefs only with a father/brother or son not with women folk of house. Once Salim comes i guess he will definetly get that shoulder/ear till Salim rebels atleast.
