Part 40
Priya didn't argue further but prayed that she is able to release him when the time is right, for the moment she gave into the need to be held by him again.
After a while she decided to broach him on the subject of moving in with her. She knew it was a futile attempt but she needed to make the effort for her own sanity.
She leaned back to look at him. Her heart thumped in her chest when she saw the love, adoration and admiration in his eyes. Just for a moment her resolved to keep her distance from him faltered but she mentally shook herself, "Arjun, please reconsider moving in with me. I will be fine on my own. Besides what will people say? What will your family think if you move in with me?"
Arjun ran his thumb over her cheek, "I don't really care what people will think and as for my family, they won't question my decision." Arjun could see she was worried for him than herself. No matter how much she tries to deny her feelings for him, her eyes told it's own story, which only made him love her more and more determined to tie her to him. He leaned over and kissed the corner of her mouth leisurely.
He moved a way slightly and looked into her eyes, "There is one solution to this dilemma," he said with a teasing glint in his eyes.
Priya felt his warm breath on her lips as he spoke. She raised a questioning brow at his statement. "You could marry me," he whispered softly.
The first answer that came to Priya's mind was, "yes I will marry you Arjun." But then her inner demons reared their ugly heads and she flinched back. She lowered her lashes. Afraid Arjun would read her feelings in her eyes.
Arjun wanted to smack himself for bringing up marriage so fast. He pulled her back into his arms, "Hey relax, it was just a thought." He tightened his arms around her, "I know it's hard for you to trust me after what I put you through, but believe me Priya there wasn't a day when I didn't think about you. You have always owned a huge part of my heart and perhaps that is why I wasn't completely committed to Roshni either."
Priya stiffened at mention of her cousin's name. She did not want to be reminded of the fact that he had once been married to Roshni. May be she was being unfair but she couldn't help the jealousy either, specially now that she knew Arjun had loved her before he even knew Roshni. Se pushed aside her envy and relaxed against him, "You don't have to justify yourself or your feelings for Roshni to me Arjun."
Arjun winced, unknowingly, he had dealt a big blow to Priya's ego and her heart when he married Roshni but he needed to make her understand that he didn't set out to hurt her, he had only been thinking about her and Sam when he pulled away from them both.
Arjun moved back once more and made her look at him. "I am not justifying anything, I just want you to understand that you were never far from my mind and heart. Yeah I learned to love Roshni but I wasn't in love with her. My anger at her death was directed more towards myself not at you, but I guess it made me feel less guilty by blaming you for her death, which was wrong I know."
Priya should have felt remorseful for unintentionally snatching Roshni's happiness but she was unable to bring herself to generate the guilty feeling. Her joy at knowing Arjun had loved her for so long overshadowed all other feelings.
Arjun tilted Priya's chin until their gazes were locked. Her eyes were glistening with unshed tears, and he could see her pulse throbbing at the base of her throat. Her mouth was slightly parted like there was something she was about to say, but he didn't give her a chance.
He lowered her his head, and when their lips connected, he heard her sigh then her eyes went shut. He didn't know how she felt, but for him it was like coming home.
When he finally pulled back Priya stifled a groan, her eyelashes fluttering she finally looked up. It wasn't until later that Priya realized Arjun had cleverly diverted her from the topic of him moving in with her.
At ETF..
Sameer threw aside the pen and pushed away the file he had been studying for quiet some time. His frustration at not being able to connect Sikandar to the known terrorist was mounting every minute.
He was beginning to think someone has been playing games with them and had purposely called them back to Mumbai in pretense of terrorist activities. And to add to his irritation the informer who had provided them the information has gone missing.
He glanced at the clock on the wall then ran a hand over his face. He really needed to speak to Arjun and Priya but he didn't want to disturb them today. They needed the alone time to settle things between them. He decided to call it a day also and surprise his wife by going home on time.
Swati was off from the hospital and he decided today is the best time to make up the missed first night of marriage. His heart pounded in excitement at the thought of making Swati his in all the ways that counted.
Sameer stopped by Shree's station to tell him to go home and rest before quickly walking out the door.
Shree waited until his chief was out the door before reaching for his phone. He made a quick phone called then grinned, after relaying the information he quickly hung up the phone. He leaned back and stretched then decided to take advantage of rare early night. He quickly closed his station, swung his bag over the shoulder and walked out of ETF.
Swati hurried to her room after hanging up the phone to finish dressing. She had been preparing for this night the whole day. She had decided to surprise Sam today no matter how late he arrived home for the night.
Although the threat of danger lurked over all their heads, Swati was in the mood to celebrate, perhaps the threat of danger made her more determined to consummate her and Sam's married life.
She blow-dried her hair then applied light make makeup to her face. Swati reached for her favorite perfume and squirted few drops at all her pulse points. She took one last look at her reflection in the mirror then reached for the sari she had placed on bed earlier.
Sameer stopped the car in his usual parking space then reached for the red roses on the passenger seat. He locked the car the hurried towards his apartment. He decided to use his key to enter his home rather than waiting for Swati to open the door for him.
He frowned when he entered the apartment and didn't find Swati in the living room. He walked towards the kitchen but she wasn't there either. He wondered what she was up to as he walked towards the bedroom.
He pushed back the slightly ajar door silently and froze. His breath caught at the vision in front of him. Swati has yet to notice him as she had her back to him and continued to adjust her earrings then her sari.
She was dressed in shimmering, lavender sari with a spaghetti strapped blouse that was held tighter by a thin strap and a single hook at her mid-back.
Sameer walked towards her as if in trance then wrapped his arms around her slender waist, making her yelp in surprise. Swati relaxed her back against his chest when she realized it was Sameer who had wrapped her in his arms, "You are home."
Sameer placed his chin on her shoulder and looked at her reflection in the mirror, he then held out the roses to her, "Had I known you were planning a surprise for me I would have come home earlier."
Swati smiled then took the flowers he held out. She buried her face into the velvety soft petals of the roses and inhaled their sweet smell. "Thank you Sam, they are beautiful."
Swati placed the flowers on her dresser then turned in his arms. She entwined her arms around his neck, "Are you hungry?" Sameer nuzzled her neck then pulled back reluctantly. He wasn't hungry but he didn't want to rush her either so he nodded his head.
"Why don't you go set the table while I go freshen up. I will join you in a bit." He kissed her forehead then headed to bathroom for a quick shower.
Thirty minutes later, freshly shaved, dressed in white kurta pajama, hair wet from shower, Sameer joined Swati in the kitchen. The delicious aroma of food prepared by her so lovingly made him glad he had opted for dinner instead of carrying her to bed as he wished to do.
He took his seat then waited for Swati to join him. As soon as she placed the last dish on the table Sameer grabbed her hand and pulled her on to his lap. He cupped her face and gave her a passionate kiss to give her a prelude to evening ahead.
Swati tried to get up from Sameer's lap but he stopped her, "Stay, I don't want any distance between us tonight." Their eyes connected briefly, neither could hide the longing and desire they each felt for one another.
Swati turned slightly and served food on one plate only. She fed him the first bite then he took the spoon from her and fed her also. Sameer's hands wandered over Swati's slender form as they each took turns feeding each other. When they both finished Sameer stood up with Swati still in his arms and walked towards the bedroom.
I love the way you look tonight
With your hair hangin' down on your shoulders
I love the way you dance your slow sweet tango
The way you want to do everything but talk
And how you stare at me with those undress-me eyes
Your breath on my body makes me warm inside
Sameer placed Swati on her feet then wrapped his arms around her slim waist and swayed to tune of an imaginary music as he stared into her eyes. Tonight he wanted to show her just what she meant to him. He has told her how much he loves her in many ways but tonight he gets to show her just how much he loves her.
Let's make out, let's do something amazing
Let's do something that's all the way
'Cause I've never touched somebody
Like the way I touch your body
Now I never wanna let your body go
Swati followed Sameer's lead as he slow danced her around the room. Her heart rate increased in tempo as she gazed into his eyes and saw the passion and desire there. She trembled as he stopped and pulled her closer and pecked her lips gently.
Let's make a night, to remember
From January, to December
Let's make love, to excite us
A memory, to ignite us
Let's make honey baby, soft and tender
Let's make sugar darlin', sweet surrender
Let's make a night, to remember, all life long
Swati slipped away from him and turned away from the overwhelming feelings his touch was evoking within her. She had only taken few steps when she was halted by a tug on her sari pallu. She turned slightly to see Sameer holding the end of the pallu.
He pulled on the sari to pull her towards him but Swati turned in the opposite direction. As she turned the sari started unraveling, she stopped but when Sameer tugged on her sari again as she twisted away and more of the sari unwound from around her. Sameer kept pulling on the sari until he had it taken off of her completely and threw it aside.
Swati stood with her lashes lowered and chest heaving in anticipation as she waited for Sameer to make his next move. He didn't make her wait for long. He walked towards her slowly with a slight smile on his lips and a naughty glint in his eyes.
Sameer cupped her face then leaned over to kiss her forehead. He then moved to her eyes and her cheeks. He rained kisses all over her face but not her lips. Swati was trembling with anticipation but he kept moving away from her face.
Swati couldn't take anymore of his torture. She cupped his face and kissed his cheek before kissing her way across his face to his lips. Sameer sighed then tightened his arms around her and deepened the kiss. He lifted her in his arms without releasing her lips and laid her on the bed.
Swati turned away from him as soon as he placed her on the bed. Sameer caught her by the waist and hugged her from the back. He nuzzled her neck as his hand moved down her neck, and shoulder. He grazed the back of his hand over her bosoms then caressed her bare, flat stomach. He turned her on her back and captured her lips again as he freed her from the confinement of rest of her clothing.
love the way you move tonight
Beads of sweat drippin' down your skin
Me lying here, and you lyin' there
Our shadows on the wall and our hands everywhere
Let's make out, let's do something amazing
Let's do something that's all the way
'Cause I've never touched somebody
Like the way I touch your body
Now I never wanna let your body go
He parted from her for a moment as he undressed then continued to shower her with love and passion. He explored her body with his hands and mouth until they were both trembling with desire. Sameer entwined his hand in Swati's hand and gazed into her eyes as he broke the last barrier. He slid inside her and began to move gently.
Oh, and I think about ya all the time
Can't you see you drive me outta my mind
Well, I'm never holdin' back again
Yeah, I never want this night to end
'Cause I've never touched somebody
Like the way I touch your body
Now I never want to let your body go
Swati was lost in Sameer's touch and the sensation it ignited through her entire being. The security light outside their bedroom window sent a faint glow in the room, casting shadows of their bodies onto the walls. She watched fascinated by the image of what she saw combined with the lust of what she felt, then closed her eyes, meeting him thrust for thrust as their lonely years apart fell away.
Time was no longer measured by seconds but by the building waves of rushing blood. One moment she was riding the waves of ecstasy, and then the climax slammed into her so fast she forgot to breath.
Sameer felt it, heard her groan slip out from between her lips and lost control. His body was on autopilot and his mind had already shattered as he rode his climax to the end and then rolled onto his back, taking her with him and pulling up the covers.
Yeah
Ohh, let's make out, let's do something amazing
Let's do something that's all the way, every day
Let's make honey
Let's make sugar
Let's make a night to remember
Let's make love, slow and tender
Let's make a night to remember
At Priya's apartment..
Priya turned and pumped her pillow for the umpteen time, but for the life of her she couldn't get comfortable in her own bed long enough to sleep. It's not like she hadn't had hard time falling asleep before but tonight it seems she couldn't relax long enough to get her mind to rest.
She couldn't blame her restlessness on her nightmares tonight. She knew exactly what was bothering her but she couldn't figure out how to deal with it. He was so close yet so out of reach.
After about another ten minutes of twisting and turning Priya gave up on trying to sleep. She threw the covers aside and sat up at the side of her bed. She glanced at the door then stood up without hesitation. She will just drink some warm milk to see if it will relax her at least.
She walked towards the kitchen as quietly as possible, but one glance into the living room and the man sleeping on her couch stopped her in her tracks. Her face softened as she gazed at Arjun. His hair was ruffled as if he had run his hand thru it several times. The body hugging t-shirt outlined his biceps and chest muscles distinctly. She averted her eyes before they wandered any further.
She walked over to the end of the couch and took the blanket lying on the armrest. She shook it out gently and placed it over him. She had just taken a step away from the couch when she felt his hand on her wrist stopping her where she stood. She turned her head and her eyes widened in shock to see Arjun starring at her with half closed eyes.
If Priya had been restless, Arjun's state hadn't been any different. He was about to sit up and go check on her when he had heard her bedroom door open. He had opened his mouth to call out to her but stopped when he saw her walking towards him. He waited to see what she would do and stayed still as he felt her gaze on him and as she covered him with a blanket.
Once she started to walk away from him he couldn't help but stop her. He felt her wiggle her hand to pull away from him but he tugged hard to bring her tumbling down on top of him.
Priya eyes flared, "What are you doing Arjun?" She tried to get up but he tightened his hold on her and placed his finger on her lips. "Shh..relax Priya."
Arjun shifted his body to make room for her on the couch, she lay half on top of him and half on the couch. He looked into her eyes as he moved her hair away from them then placed his hand over her eyes to close them. "Go to sleep Priya." He whispered softly, then placed her head on his chest and rubbed her back to soothe her to sleep, not giving her any chance to argue further.
Priya was hypnotized by his gentle touch and the rhythm and the strong beat of his heart beneath her ear. She knew she should protest and make him release her but she couldn't bring herself to move and relaxed against him as she sighed in contentment. His comforting touch and warmth quickly lulled her to sleep.
Arjun glanced down at her once again as he felt her relax against him and smiled to himself.
Tujhe dekh dekh sona -
Tujhe dekh kar hain jagna
Maine yeh zindagani
Sang tere bitaani
Tujhmein basi hain meri jaan haai
jiya dhadak dhadak - jiya dhadak dhadak,
jiya dhadak dhadak
Jaayen -
Tujhe dekh dekh sona
Tujhe dekh kar hain jagna
Maine yeh zindagani
Sang tere bitaani
Tujhmein basi hain meri jaan haai
Jiya dhadak dhadak - jiya dhadak dhadak,
jiya dhadak dhadak
Jaayen..
Thank you!
