Well, before you take a wild guess, let us tell you that the actor is none other than the Balika Vadhu lead, Shashank Vyas . He has not attended any award function in the last two years and does not even plan to attend any in the coming years.
What's the reason for him maintaining a distance from award shows?
We decided to ask the actor himself. "I believe actors who are acting hardly get their dues in these award functions. It's just that the people whose PR activity is right take away the awards and at times they are not even worthy of it. And I wouldn't want to clap for such people," informs the actor.
"My target in life isn't awards. I get happy when the audience appreciates my work," he adds.
So will you decline awards if you receive any in future? "Not at all, for that would mean throwing tantrums. If someone gives me a thing with love, I will accept it. But I will not attend an award function for it. I would rather stay at home or have fun with my friends," Shashank answers.
