It was almost 10 at night and Zaaine had fallen asleep. Jeevika was sitting on the couch bored waiting for Viren to come home. She kept buzzing his phone but got no reply. Her mood swings were starting and she wanted to just kill Viren for his ignorance. She heard the garage door open and locked it from the inside so he wouldn't be able to come in. Viren tried opening the door, but noticed it locked. v - "Jeevika, you there?"
Jeevika didn't answer him and waited for him to be sorry.
v - "I know you're pissed and you locked the door on purpose. Come on let me in"
j - "NO!"
v - "Jeevika please I was busy"
j - "So how hard is it to reply to one message or return one phone call?"
v - "I know I should have replied once. I'm very very sorry now open the door please. I'm feeling cold"
j - "I'm not letting you in"
v - "But then how will I share my good news with you?"
j - "What good news?"
v - "I'll tell you if you open the door"
j - "I'll open it if you take me for ice cream"
v - "Right now?"
j - "Is that a problem?"
v - "Absolutely not"
Jeevika opened the door and saw Viren in his office attire. She couldn't resist smiling because he was looking overly sexy today especially his hair. Viren put his laptop bag on the table then carried a six-month pregnant Jeevika surprising her with his spontaneity.
j - "What are you doing?"
v - "Carrying you upstairs to our bedroom"
j - "And why this sudden affection after ignoring me all day long?"
v - "I wasn't ignoring you on purpose. I was stuck in a meeting all day"
j - "And whats the good news all about? Tell me now"
Viren placed Jeevika on the bed and then shut the door. He came by her side and sat down next to her.
v - "First good news is that we're finally moving tomorrow to our first home"
j - "I think I know that already since I've been packing by myself all week"
v - "True" he smiled at her
j - "And whats the second good news?"
v - "The second good news is that we're going to be having our first college reunion"
j - "What? Really?"
v - "Yeah and its out of town. It's going to be in San Diego"
j - "On the beach?"
v - "Yeah, so now we have to find a babysitter for Zaaine for that weekend"
j - "We've never left him alone though, can't we take him?"
v - "It's a couples only retreat not family. And think about it, this will be one last time we have a weekend to ourselves for a while. I mean after a few months we are going to be even busier"
j - "Yeah but what about Zaaine?"
v - "We'll talk about this later. Now tell me what more needs to be done for the big move tomorrow?"
j - "Nothing. I did it all" she said giving him a death glare
v - "Aren't you glad you took an early maternity leave from work?" he said jokingly to her
j - "Worked to your benefit"
v - "I can't believe tonight's our last night here"
j - "I still remember the first day" she said cuddling with Viren... "We set up each and every room together that day in the summer. Remember how I had fractured my leg a few weeks before moving?"
v - "Oh yeah. We were going for our anniversary dinner and then you tripped. I came and picked you up and took you to the hospital"
j - "Then you took me to your apartment and we had our romantic dinner at home followed by the best gift"
v - "Imagine how excited we were then to be moving in together, and tomorrow our excitement will be triple. We're going to move into a house where we'll be living for the next two decades"
j - "You know how excited Zaaine was today? He helped me pack every box"
v - "Thats why our excitement tomorrow will be triple"
j - "I guess so" she said smiling
Next Day...
It was finally moving in day. Viren and Jeevika had both been up since 5am continuing packing the remaining boxes and organizing whatever was left at their condo. Jeevika was finishing the things in the kitchen while Viren was emptying out the rest of the garage. Around 8am Zaaine walked downstairs in his pajamas all sleepy, but excited seeing so many boxes everywhere. z - "Goodmorning mommy"
j - Goodmorning Zaaine. Okay we have a really long day ahead so can you please go brush and I'll give you something to eat"
z - "Okay" he said running back upstairs.
Viren came back inside the house and moved the boxes towards the garage.
v - "Are we almost done with the kitchen?"
j - "Yeah this is the last box"
v - "Okay, the truck should be coming within an hour. Jeevika why don't you sit down for a bit now. I'll take this box out" he said taking it from her hands
j - "I'll go get something to eat. Zaaine is awake also"
v - "Okay"
Jeevika went in her car and drove to a nearby store. She went inside to get some food for everyone to eat. When she came back home she saw Viren and Zaaine both in the garage moving around the boxes.
j - "I got food. Whose hungry?"
z - "Meee" he said going closer to Jeevika.
The three of them went inside and Jeevika gave Viren and Zaaine both sandwiches while she ate a bagel.
v - "Jeevika where is your food?"
j - "I don't feel like eating"
v - "Jeevika really?
j - "Viren you know I don't like to eat in the mornings. I had a cup of coffee. I'll eat when I'm hungry"
v - "You better. Okay you two sit here I'm going get some things from upstairs"
j - "I'll come and help"
v - "Sit right back down"
j - "Ughh Viren"
v - "Zaaine make sure Jeevika doesn't move, okay?"
z - "Okay daa"
j - "Viren the truck is here" he said looking at them pulling up.
v - "Okay, you just show them the boxes and I'll get some more stuff from upstairs. Do not carry any boxes understand?"
j - "Okay okay"
Jeevika went outside and told the workers what needed to go in the truck to their new home. She showed them the boxes which they started loading step by step. Within another hour or so almost everything was ready to be gone. Viren, Jeevika, and Zaaine took one last look at their first home together ever, and then handed over the key to the new owners of the condo. Viren and Zaaine got in one car with Jeevika in the other. They all started driving to their new home and within no time the unpacking began. Viren was unloading all the furniture with the workers while Zaaine was helping Jeevika organize their new kitchen. He would follow all her instructions till he got tired and Jeevika told him to to sit on the couch with his iPad. Instead he decided to go upstairs to his room which already had his new bed and everything ready besides his closet. He had his desk, painted walls, and everything else he needed.
v - "I think the downstairs area is almost set up now. Just have to finish our rooms"
j - "I'm really exhausted though right now Viren"
v - "Okay you just sit still on the couch. I'll go see what needs to be done upstairs"
j - "No I'll come with you"
v - "Okay" he said holding her hand.
j - "Ouchhh. She's kicking really hard"
v - "You sit here, I'll go see whats going on upstairs"
j - "Okay" she said getting on the couch
Jeevika sat down on the couch and fell asleep within no time.
Two more chapters till this story reaches 50!!! ❤️ This used to be my most popular story (getting over 75 likes and 8 pages of comments), but I guess after the show ended people stopped reading Virika FF's, SS's, and OS's. So I guess its time to start wrapping this story up. Hopefully the last chapter will live up to everybody's expectations. It would mean a lot to me if everyone commented and liked the last three chapters remaining now... Would definitely bring a smile to my face! Enjoy 😃
