Yes Shlok is all lost in Astha , whether he accepts consciously or not. I think most of the time he actually accepts it when he is romancing her. Men are more physical . They are since they are born. See the difference in your son and daughter. Talk is necessary for daughter and all physical cooing is necessary for son. They become the same when they grow up.

Shlok was touching her hand and allowed the Kankan to fall. The Kankan is a thread with haldi and supari tied to it. It is tied during the beginning of the marriage so that all the rituals of the marriage are performed without any problem and protection. Removing it basically indicates that the marriage is complete and so now can be removed. The bride and groom come to the bride's house . May be a way to make the girl feel better as she can meet her parents.

Shlok dropped the Kankan after removing it . So it signifies concern and worry about Astha's protection. Shlok understood it and so told her parents that you have given your daughter to me and I have taken her responsibility and will fulfill it.

I believe Shlok here. He said the same to her parents before when she did not come home and he came to give the phone . At that time he said she had come to his home. So it is his responsibility to see that she reaches her home safely. He did take her back to her home then .(With kanyadaan water is poured on the groom's husband signifying it as Daan - giving away. . So the bridegroom has to accept this daan and he is actually obliged to the girl's parents for it. Marriage is called panigrahan).

Same theme of taking responsibility is playing here. Now everybody will say Shlok Agnihotri lies and will not keep his word, but I do not believe so. He will protect Astha whatever.

Astha getting angry and taking out on Shlok was not right, but it happens and it showed us that Shlok is very hot tempered too. Are they completely opposites ? No Astha can be very angry too and can fight back. I think they complement each other. Shlok is very passionate too and loves her and wants to be loved. May be he should have understood her and held her. But he did feel for it and so called her parents.

Yes, her saying I love you and holding his hand melted him. Physical touch and giving oneself away. It is not so easy to say I love you? you have to give away your own ego to say that. I am sure those who have husbands like that know that very well. He wants Astha to be called Mrs Shlok Agnihotri so wants the importance but does not mind telling her that yes "you are the boss now. "

I suppose this is what I like in Shlok because he himself does not care about old customs/ rituals and wants equality. He is actually ready to give the rights of a wife to Astha. He said that before . "How can I say no to you "( during the cell phone episode).

The main theme again is to show too much of blind faith in rituals is not good. Do not want to comment on what is going to happen on Friday because the hopeless me is still hoping that Shlok cannot be all that bad NOW. (He may have a started with revenge, but not now and what may happen on SR may be due to ego clashes or Shlok might be teasing her and having fun at her getting angry or shocked). But yes the SR is not going to be SR . There will be SR EBP later, may be after months in their own house.

Looking back at some of the episodes and Shlok's behavior , can't believe that all this is only for revenge. He knows Astha is very immature and has not seen the world and he will make her learn how to win the world.

He loves Astha and wants her for life. The same dialogue which he has said many times and also shown in his actions like giving her the locket, during engagement and again their temple marriage. I do not think he is exactly like NA and wants to make another Anjali out of Astha.
