I hit the gym 5 days a week!" - Iqbal Khan

The very good looking and charming Iqbal Khan, better known as Anshuman', from Life OK's Tumhari Pakhi, shares with urlremoved some fitness tips, and what he too does to keep in shape!

What does staying fit mean to you?

Staying fit to me means, looking good, feeling good and being able to wake up at 6am for a nice brisk jog or walk!

What fitness regime do you follow to keep in shape?

I hit the gym 5 days a week! And besides that just eat regularly and healthy which is very important.

Do you prefer hitting the gym or sticking to normal exercise routines like walking and playing sports?

I only stick with going to the gym as I am very used to it now.

Do you play sports and if yes then which sport?

I used to play a lot of sports during school so nothing now. I don't even watch any sports on TV.

What are the 3 basic things you do daily to keep in shape?

I go to the gym regularly, eat healthy and don't fill up my stomach too much at any point and time. Unless I need to maybe put on some extra weight for a particular role etc.

Do you feel that food and eating healthy plays an important part in keeping fit?

Of course it is! It is the only thing that will survive in the long run, as hitting the gym and exercising is all temporary. I feel that abs are made in the kitchen more than the gym!

Are you conscious of your eating habits and what does your daily diet contain?

I am not too conscious of what I eat, and keep everything in control. Eat everything but regularly, basic and healthy. The day I over do it, I kill myself in the gym the very next day!

Do you believe in the size zero concept that has suddenly taken over everybody these days?

Frankly speaking, I don't know what a size zero is! But I feel that everybody should remain healthy and fit! And normal people need to understand that we actors are not always what we look on screen, as there is a lot done behind us being the we are,on screen. So one should just look and feel according to their respective age, as that really adds to your personality.

A male celebrity body that inspires you?

That would be Akshay Kumar!

A fitness tip for your fans?

Eat healthy home food, exercise well and just pray to God!
