Jodha was so shocked to listen to their convo. She looked at Hameeda with questioning eyes..whereas Hameeda could not meet her eyes.
Jodha got up and sat - Ye hum kya sun rahe hain Ammi-Jaan? Kya humne jo suna, vo satya hai?
Hameeda's head dropped down..thus answering a YES.
Jodha was like what! She looked at Jalal with astonishment. Did he really act all the while in Diwaan-e-Khaas just to feel her pain?Just to get humiliated and
insulted so that he would feel her pain?
This was no-doubtedly a second or third time that they were seeing each other...and again he had surprised her..
Chapter 12 :
Jodha sat numbed! She glared at Hameeda Bano indicating her that she wants to be alone for sometime, alone..away from any darkness and dilemma.
Hameeda Bano undertood her within no second and looked at Jalal with expression..asking him to leave. Jalal, inturn had already made up his mind by now.
He had finally undertood, that he had been a coward till now! Not only had he done a grave and heinous crime with his wife but had also been running away from accepting it. All this while, he had infact turned hard within and also had spread a terror in whole
palace. Jalal very well knew that everyone saluted him in front and mocked at him on his back and he being the "Shahenshah" ignored all this till now.
But today, rather much before..He had realised that he was wrong and he needed to do alot for repairing his flaws..Rather irrepairable flaws.
Not only he had to make up to Jodha who was now pregnant but also needed to win back the heart of his "praja" and Ministers.
He kept quite, didnt even see Jodha's reaction and left her room, immediately. For he would never ever try to offend her on anything from now on.
Jodha was greatly surprised and numbed from Jalal's action of Diwaan-e-Khas. She didnt know what to say.
Before she could convey her feelings to Hameeda Bano,
Hameeda - Jodha Beta! Hum Jaante hain ke aap humse naaraz hain! Lekin, isse pehle aap kuch kahein, hum aapse kuch kehna chahte hain.
Dekhiye Jodha beta, sabse pehle to hum yeh kahenge ki hum dono ka mahal se bhagna waqai mein ek bachkani harqat thi..
Hum maante hain ki aapki aulad ka yahan janm lena acha nahi hoga, lekin beta yahan se bhag kar hum jaate kahan? Humein vo kadam nahi uthana chahiye tha..
Aur doosri baat Jalal ne hum dono se naaraz hone ke bajaye humse muafi mangi, aur jaan bujhkar Deewan-e-Khas mein natak kiya.
HUm nahi jaante ki vo sahi hain ya nahi..kyonki hum unhe kabhi muaf nahi karenge..lekin beta aaj jo unhone kiya..Vo kahi na kahi
zaruri tha..Isi liye aap apne andar ki peeda bahar laa payin..ye apke liye aur apke bache ke liye zaruri tha..
Aur humnein unka saath sirf aur sirf aapke liye diya..
Jodha was surprised. SHe believed Hameeda alot and She realised that HB was right! Still, her heart refused to accept Jalal's "soft" action.
Jodha with a low tone - Jee AMmi-Jaan! Hum samajh sakte hain! Theek hi hai..Hum yahin rahenge mahal mein..apne liye na sahi..
lekin humare bache ke liye aur aapke liye hum yahin rahenge..
ANd Jodha smiled feebly so as to assure Hameeda Bano.
Hameeda caressed JOdha's forehead and Jodha kept her head in her lap..enjoying her motherly divine love.
Jodha with a little soft tone - Ammi Jaan! Hum aapse kuch puchna chahte hain!
Hameeda - Jee beta! Boliye..
Jodha - Ammi Jaan! Jabse humein ye pata chala hai ke hum maa bane wale hain..her voice gltiched.. tabse hum behad khush hain..
Hum soch rahe the ..ke kyona hum Agra se thoda dur durlabh Kanha ke madir ho aayein (basically the temple is far and hard to reach)..
Kehta hain Vahan par Kanha ka aseem aashirwada milta hai..Hum chahte hain ke ek baar waha par jakar puja karein..
Hameeda - Ye bhi koi puchne ki baat hai Jodha beta..Beshak aap jaiye..
Jodha - Aap bhi humare saath ayengi na Ammi Jaan?
Hameeda - No Beta! I am very sorry ! My legs have become so weak that I need to have immediate treatment! My health has started to giving up! I am so very sorry!
We shouldnt have taken the step of running away from here..That thing has affected our health too..
But dont worry beta, all your maids and soldiers will be there with you. I'll assure tight security..
Jodha - Ok Ammi Jaan..
*** Next Day ***
Jodha, her maids and soldiers started journey for the temple.
EVeryone saluted Begum Jodha and wished all the good luck for her journey.
Jalal stood there watching her leaving for the journey, but neither could he dare to ask her if she would like to let him accompany her,,nor could join her by force.
Jodha remained untouched by all wishes and every glare. Her mind just thought of her baby and Kanha.
Hameeda blessed Jodha and Jodha started off her journey.
*** At temple **
The temple was located at a quite far distance from Agra.
It was located in a desolated place, yet its divinity and marvellous look couldn't be compared.
The golden walls, the shrine "Kanha's Murti" and all the Pujaris..Everything seemed so peaceful and divine.
As soon as Jodha entered the temple with all her maids behind her, she could , for the first time, feel the free and divine atmosphere.
It appeared as if she came back to life after a long hard and dark terrorising dream or a death. She breathed the fragrant air.
She smiled and ran her hand around her tummy.
SHe moved towards the Kanha's murti, joined her hands for prayers and started her prayer.
