Part 16

Khushi rolled her eyes at the guards who were feeding their stomachs while she was starving 'This day can't get any worse' she thought to herself.Suddenly the door burst open.It was him.Not Arnav.The man who kidnapped her.He didn't look happy 'I spoke too soon' Khushi gulped seeing his intense figure "Liar" he nearly growled.Khushi widened her eyes.She knew he found out about her lies.He was about to take out his weapon when the air was filled with the sounds of police sirens.Everyone gasped.

"RUN" yelled someone.

Everybody scattered leaving Khushi.She did not know what to do or where to go.Suddenly the door burst open.Khushi gasped.It was the man who had kept Khushi in his house when Arnav had left her.He was in a police uniform,looking serious.He smiled seeing Khushi."Dad" she whispered remembering what she used to call him.She ran to him and hugged him tightly.He smiled,hugging her back.The police officers spread out and even managed to catch some gangsters."Dad..you're an inspector?" Khushi asked,breaking the hug.

"Actually I am the general...that's why I would always be out and come home late" he answered "Anyways come...I am here to take you home"

Khushi smiled but then it faltered "Dad..Panther had kidnapped me"

"I know...but don't worry,I'll make sure nothing like that happens again" he confirmed.

Khushi nodded her head and left with him.

A Year Later

It has been a year since that incident.Khushi became part of the police and learned how to use her weapons and protect herself.She was a quick learner and became a high rank inspector.She wasn't too strong but not weak either.Though it had been a year,Khushi still remembered Arnav.He had become a part of her which was unforgettable.

One night,Khushi was attending a meeting with all the officers and of course the general.He was the one who was presentating "As we hoped,we are gathering all part of the underworld but there is still a large range..especially Aarze's information that is the most important which is located with Panther" Khushi immediately straightened up hearing his name "Anyways..we have an estimate destination of where Panther could be located-"

"Sir" interrupted an officer,coming in the room "Someone has come to meet Khushi maam"

Khushi scrunched her eyes 'Who would come to meet me?' she thought to herself.Even the general seemed confused "Um,okay but send an inspector with her"

"But I can go by myself" objected Khushi.

Khushi nodded,thinking it was fair enough.The inspector arrived and they both went to the lobby.Khushi looked around and saw a manly figure.He seemed pretty strong from his muscles.The lights were turned off for some reason.The inspector turned it on.There were a few other people.They turned around and smiled at her.Khushi gasped.She managed to recognize them as Panther's men.Anal and Sam were a big hint.The middle man which Khushi saw first,turned around and smirked at her "Arnav" Khushi whispered.

His appearance had slightly changed.He looked much stronger then before.On his left arm was the tattoo of the gang and on the right was a big 'P' letter on it,probably standing for his name.His hair seemed to have grown a bit.He was wearing white for a change.Arnav smirked at her,totally ignoring the inspector's shocking gaze.The inspector got back to normal.

"Get down on your knees!" ordered the inspector as he held the gun,pointing it at Arnav.

Arnav smirked "Really? Do I have to? I mean I am wearing white" he said gesturing to his clothes.

Khushi rolled her eyes "Raise your hands and get down on your knees" commanded Khushi,taking out her gun and pointing at him.

Arnav chuckled.He slowly raised his arms and bent down on his knees,followed by his gang "I am glad to see you too Khushi"

Khushi glared at him.

"Throw him behind the bars!" ordered Khushi the men.

"Wait" stopped the inspector.He brought Khushi close to him and whispered "Khushi,why do you think Panther would all of a sudden show up here...he must have some kind of purpose"

"C'mon Khushi,the General would want this too" Sighing she agreed "Take him to the room down the hall"

The men took him and his gang away,followed by Khushi and the inspector.They were in a slightly dark room.There was a huge table in the middle with two chairs on opposite sides.Panther sat on one chair while Khushi and the inspector sat opposite of him.

"Let's get straight to the point,I want absolute immunity" claimed Arnav relaxing back in his chair.

"You're not getting it Panther" said Khushi firmly.

"Oh come on Khushi..don't you know me that well?" smirked Arnav.Khushi opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by the inspector.

"Wait" said the inspector "You have charges all over the world..it's impossible"

Khushi and the inspector were astonished of him already knowing what they needed.

"Is this the reason you came here?" asked Khushi.

"Not the only reason" said Arnav leaning forward on the table towards Khushi "I missed you dearly and came to take you back"

Khushi rolled her eyes "Do you two have some kind of history?" asked the confused inspector.

"No" said Khushi

"Yes" said Arnav.They both looked at each other "Why lie Khushi?" he said smirking.Khushi looked away "You can tell the man we were lovers"

"JUST SHUT UP" yelled Khushi standing up "Whatever happened was the past...we live in the present not the past"

"But the past always does somehow come back" said Arnav standing up.

"Then I'll leave" said Arnav turning to leave.

"Wait,you're not going anywhere" said Khushi,grabbing his wrist.Arnav turned around "Men,take him and his gang behind the bars where he deserves to be" she ordered.

The men took the gang away,with a small fight.Arnav was the toughest though "Get off me" he commanded,managing to push them off "You lead the way,I'll come" he looked at Khushi "This isn't over"

"It was over a long time ago" said Khushi finally ending the conversation "I'll see you in jail"

Arnav clenched his jaw.Turning around,he left "Khushi,we could've gotten something out of him" said the inspector.

"I know him well enough to know he won't give it easily" said Khushi watching him leave.

Arnav was leaning against the bars in the cell.The other part of the gang entered the cell "Is this part of your plan?" asked Sam,not happy.

"Yes,yes it is" answered Arnav "Now,I like my space and privacy so please shift to another cell"

"What,why should we?" said Anal.

"Because I said so" Arnav said "Please take them away" he said to the junior inspectors.

Since they were already scared of him,they agreed and took the rest of the gang away.Arnav stood alone in his cell,staring at nothing.He heard a throat clear and looked up.It was Khushi.

"How does it feel to be here?" asked Khushi smirking.

Arnav glanced around and looked back at her.He shrugged "It's all right but it's all so grey..a few colors would look nice" Khushi rolled her eyes.She turned to leave but stopped hearing him "How does it feel being part of the police Khushi?"

Khushi turned towards him and smiled "It feels great,because I don't have to fear you anymore,nor do I have to fear anyone else"

"So you're not afraid of the dark anymore?" he asked.Khushi's smile wiped off her face.She looked around,not knowing what to say.Arnav smirked "So you are"

Khushi looked at him confused but decided to ignore it.She went to the General's office "Dad,let's go home"

"These meetings are important Khushi" convinced the General.

Finally agreeing Khushi left and went back home.She watched tv for an hour and then changed into her white salwar.She got ready for bed.She was about to lie on her bed when the lights suddenly went off.The moonlight luckily gave some shine,enough for Khushi to see and keep her scare in.Stepping out of her room,she looked around trying to find the reason.Suddenly Arnav's words repeated in her mind

You're right Khushi...but be careful tonight...unexpected things manage to happen at unexpected times

Khushi shook that thought out of her mind but suddenly she was pushed against the wall.She gasped.Her hands were held against the wall while the figure who had held her,was hovering over her.Pulling her close he whispered "Khushi" Khushi gasped,not able to believe Arnav had freed himself from prison.

Khushi become a police inspacter

And she send Arnav and his gang behind the bars

You told that no one saw Panther's face

Then how come that inspacter recogniced him

But why Arnav come there to make himself arrested

General didn't went home with Khushi

And Arnav come out in few hours

Something is really fishy here
