Hey everyone, I was not supposed to update today ... nor in the near future ; as I was very disappointed that the number of LIKEs decreased from 74 (from the previous update) to 60 (from the last update). CHAPTER : 7 :
You got to tell her Uday ...she has to know that she needs to be extremely careful about her pregnancy henceforth! , Giriraj told his son ... as both caught up with each other's lives over a midnight-coffee. I know Dad , but she's already so tensed about Uncle Brij ... I don't want to add to her woes.
Brijraj is a fighter ... a mere stroke is not going to keep him down for long. Manyata will see THAT for herself after spending a few nights there ... THEN - YOU WILL HAVE TO TELL HER ... no excuses Uday. Giriraj sipped the last bit of coffee in the cup and bid his son GOOD-NIGHT. Well ... aren't you going to bed? It's already 12:30 , he told Uday. You carry on Dad ... as it is , I won't be able to sleep without ... Uday stopped his sentence when he realised what he was about to say; causing his father to laugh at him. I WON'T BE ABLE TO SLEEP WITHOUT UDITA! , he quickly told to avoid any more embarrassment. Yeah right! , Giriraj chuckled and walked away.

Uff Jiji - please put a silencer on her , Jai complained as she held 2 pillows over her head ... trying to block out the sounds of Udita's howling. Of-course, the pillows provided little help , as Udita's power-packed screams woke-up the entire mansion. The child went from the hands of her mother - to grand-mother - to great-grand-mother ... but her cries could not be appeased. Some of the servants even tried ... but , without luck! UDITA WANTED UDAY ... AND THAT WAS THAT!
Not even a machine-washed , tumble-dried Pinkoo could quieten her down. Pacing from 1 end of the room to the other ... only exhausted Manyata , but Udita's tears continued to flow. Paapa! , she called continuously ... but her wish of having her father in front of her - would remain unfulfilled.
Jiji - please call Jijusa', Jai urged, but Manyata was in 1 of her stubborn moods. After Uday teased her about not understanding her daughter, she decided to use THIS SITUATION to prove a point. Surely, she could pacify the Baby ...without the help of the child's cocky father! Alas - she was so wrong ...but damned if she'll admit it! After 5 hours of pure noise ... Udita retired out of tiredness; giving the mansion some much needed peace and quiet - not to mention 2 hours, for the grown-ups to get their 40 winks of sleep.

Uday - I want u to sit in on a very important meeting today , Giriraj informed his shocked son. Uday had no idea of what was happening in the family-business - he was away on a 6 month cruise and before that ... he was DEAD for a year. His every excuse of getting out of the meeting was thwarted by Giriraj : Uday - even if you were away for 10 years ... you'd still be able to chair this meeting - I've full faith in you! Poor Uday had no choice left. He looked sadly at the gift-wrapped box on the table - it was a new dress, he bought for his baby and wanted to give it to her first thing in the morning. He had also packed some of Manyata's clothes - which she needed urgently. I'll take it for you ... Giriraj offered. Suddenly ; it started to make sense ... Giriraj was sending Uday to work ; while HE WAS PLANNING ON SPENDING THE DAY WITH BABY UDITA!

4 Sleepy-looking woman graced the break-fast table ... and the REASON FOR THEIR CONDITION ... well ; SHE was fast asleep! Udita slept without a care in the world, while her 4 relatives yawned whilst eating their scrambled-eggs with toast. Upon seeing a cheery Giriraj entering ... all put on fake smiles; trying to mask their sleep-deprived features.
Where's my grand-daughter? , he asked as soon as soon as the pleasantries were exchanged. He laughed when he heard of her actions and could only say 1 thing ... You should've called Uday! Manyata argued with the elders, that children should not be given EVERYTHING THEY ASK FOR. Komal then tried to explain to Manyata : Beta ... Udita is still so small - all this while , she was with BOTH her parents ... suddenly now - Uday is not in front of her; and it's confusing her - she's frightened that he's not around - that's why she's crying for him!
Right Mom ... but Jiji thinks that if she keeps Jijusa away from Udita; then SHE WILL BECOME THE FAVOURITE PARENT! , Jai gave her analysis of Manyata's doings, only to get an evil-eye from big-sister. Shut-up Jai ... I wouldn't do THAT to my child! , she defended herself. At 1 time Udita didn't want to be around Uday - now she can't live without him ...
Ya , like MOTHER - like DAUGHTER , Jai cut in, and all laughed ; forcing Manyata to blush. Giriraj gave Manyata her bag of clothes and Jai teased her about the large maternity dresses that Uday bought for her. Uday didn't "buy" it Jai... these were the clothes I wore when I was having Udita! Baba - that means all our stuff from Texas arrived, Manyata asked Giriraj excitedly. Of-course Beta ... it came a month after you'll left for your honey-moon.
Paapa! , came the loud call from the bedroom. Oh no - ROUND 2! , Jai joked. But this time - Giriraj came to the rescue. He took the child into his arms and consoled her lovingly : Baccha - your Paapa is at work ... he'll come just now. You must be a good-girl till he comes. Can u do that? She nodded ... but THAT was short-lived.
Manyata tried to feed her - but she refused to drink milk ... saying a firm : NO! Jai took a bowl of cerealac to her and tried to feed her with a spoon. NO! , Udita yelled and pushed Jai's hand, thus flinging the spoon of cereal onto Jai's face! This is WAR! , Jai pointed her finger at the Baby ... who laughed and clapped, seeing her maasi's messed face. Manyata carried her and scolded : You don't want to eat , then I'm taking you for bath! NO! , the girl screamed and kicked her legs into Manyata's stomach. Giriraj quickly took the child when Manyata held her abdomen and gasped in pain. She was then forced to allow Doctor Uncle to examine her ... only when the doctor gave the "ALL'S CLEAR" sign; did Giriraj's tension subside.
Baba - u worry too much! , Manyata told her father-in-law, who just smiled nervously - trying not to give away the details of the bigger problem. Secretly , he messaged Uday - to come fast ... but with Uday's switched off mobile; "FAST" will not be fast at all! NO! , Udita continued screaming as Jai bathed her by force. Poor Jai was left drenched by the time the bath was over.
Giriraj helped Jai dress Udita - he wanted her to wear the new dress that Uday sent - but her favourite word : NO! , popped up again. Beta ... your Paapa bought this dress especially for YOU - don't u want to wear it for him? He'll be here just now - it'll make him very happy to see you wearing it , her grand-father explained. Surprisingly - she lifted her arms; allowing them to dress her up. Thanks Uncle Giri ... you really have a way with her , Jai complimented.

Uday stared at the clock. as the seconds-hand moved ... VERY SLOWLY! He was missing his family ... and surprisingly enough, it was Udita . whom he missed - more than Manyata! As soon as a consensus was reached - the meeting was adjourned and Uday was out the door - not bothering with the formalities of shaking his colleagues hands. His car zipped through the Mumbai streets as he went full throttle on the accelerator.

DON! No Baby - you cannot go DOWN - your pretty dress would get dirty, Giriral told Udita. DON!!!! , this time she ORDERED and Giriraj had to put her on the floor. Happily, she crawled all around, even going in-between everyone's legs. Jai Beta - Manyata is resting ... you please try again to feed the Baby , DS told her grand-daughter, who obeyed immediately ... but Udita didn't want to be fed! The word of the day : NO! was told over & over again. Brijraj, who was brought downstairs to sit with the family, enjoyed the antics of his grand-daughter. He tried to call her to him ... but his slurred speech, was not comprehendible to anyone.

Uday rashly parked his car in the drive-way, and briskly walked through the front-door. No-one had noticed him step into the mansion. All were too busy in their conversation; but there was 1 that saw him ... and she was elated to have him back. From her crawling-position, Udita held onto the leg of the table and propped herself up. Paapa! , she yelled out; alerting everyone of his presence. Unsteadily ... she took her first step towards him. Uday was overwhelmed with emotion and just kneeled down on the floor ... stretched his hands out towards her and urged her to walk to him. With just a step more to take, she stumbled and fell onto her bum!
Uday scooped her up the instant she burst into tears. Now why are u crying? You know what a big thing u did today ... u stood up on your own 2 feet and u took your first steps! You know proud your Paapa is of you! , he kissed both her cheeks and she immediately stopped crying. Now Baccha - tell me ... what were u doing on the floor? Were u looking for your Mamma's pet cockroach?
Whenever Uday was with his daughter - he'd forget about his surroundings ... and the same, happened here also. DS had to clear her throat, to get his attention ... Beta - hum bhi yaheen hain! Uday quickly apologised and moved to take blessings from the elders. Everytime, he bowed to touch their feet - Udita giggled; she was still in his arms and felt that her father moving down-wards ... was some sort of game.
All commented that they were so lucky to witness Udita's first steps ... but were sad that the main person - Manyata ; missed it. Since her small scare earlier; everyone advised her to rest a while - and she did! ... eventually falling off to sleep! A smirking Jai's face got Uday worried, especially when he heard his phone BEEP. There was a message along with an MMS-clip ... the message stated : WATCH IT WHEN YOU'RE WITH JIJI! Knowing the old Jai - IT HAD TO BE TROUBLE; so Uday ignored it - he'll deal with it later!
Komal told Uday - about Udita not eating since last night and asked him to feed her; knowing full well that the Baby would now eat. Jai prepared a dish of mashed butternut and Uday fed it to Udita - who ate as if she didn't eat for weeks! Slowly sweet-heart ... you'll get choked if you eat so fast! But Udita gulped it ... making Uday wonder if a dish prepared by Jai ; could be THAT TASTY! By the way Jai - why are YOU doing this - where's the servants? Jiji said that YOU might not like the servants attending to the Baby ... so , Jiji and I have been doing everything since last night! Uffho - ye Princess bhi na! Manyata and I have been doing everything for her because we DIDN'T HAVE SERVANTS WITH US, surely if they were around - THEY'D be doing it! I don't mind at all , he said with a smile.
Giriraj filled Uday in, on what happened with Manyata ... and told him that he shouldn't wait any more - he should tell her about the pregnancy AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! He agreed and left to see Manyata.
Sshhh ... Uday put his fingers on his lips, indicating to Udita that she must be quiet as Manyata was asleep. The Baby mimicked her father by placing her finger over her lips and nodded when Uday said : Baccha - awaaz mat karna ... Mamma so rahi hain! As soon as Uday neared the bed , Udita screamed out : MAMMA! Uday frowned at her and told sternly - Didn't I tell u to be quiet? Manyata woke as soon as Udita burst into loud laughter. 1 day, I was away - and you became so naughty! Paapa - goo gal! No - not GOOD GIRL ... you're "naughty-girl!" Udita turned her mouth downwards and pretended to cry... but what she actually wanted was - for her father to apologise and pet her again ... WHICH HE DID!
Manyata teared, hearing that she missed Udita's first-steps and prompted Udita to do a replay ... but she flatly refused : NO! Jijiusa ... I think you need to show Jiji, the MMS , I sent you! , Jai invited herself in and told to Uday, earning her an angry glare. Reluctantly, he took out his phone and viewed the clip with Manyata. It was a clip of Udita's first-steps ... it seems Jai was rather fast in filming the "ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME" event. Manveer were thrilled about the "gift" and expressed their gratitude lavishly, forcing Jai to shed tears of happiness as she left.
Who's the pretty girl in the video? , Manyata showed Udita's "act" to her. The child put her hand on her chest ... giving the answer that SHE was the "pretty-girl" and both parents gushed over her proudly. Uday - u seem worried! Anything wrong? Ya Princess - there's something I have to tell you ... it's about YOU , VIRAT and THIS PREGNANCY!
WRITER'S NOTE : I've already written chapter 8 and it's ready for posting ... BUT (yep ... there has to be a "but"😆) ... it is left to YOU when u want it😉. If my LIKEs reach 70 by FRIDAY MID-NIGHT (8th Nov) - I will update on Saturday (9th Nov) at 10pm😃! If my LIKEs are between 60 -69 ... I will update on the 19th of November. ! I love reading about it😛 Wish the show hadn't ended, perhaps we would get such scenes Actually the Cvs had really crappy ideas😕...So I guess we would not see them either way Yep - you're right there😆!! LOL😆
