Let me begin with a disclaimer. I care two hoots for any of the participants. Am not an avid watcher of any Hindi TV show. Bigg Boss is for me is like a trip to a zoo where I get to see species I usually don't come across in my real dull and boring life. Amazed and amused by their quirks, eccentricities, and complexes. In most of the previous seasons it was the undercurrents of animosity, the conspiracies and the impulsiveness of human behaviour that added zing to the show.
But trust Salman to kill it all for a viewer like me. Now I know which way the cookie will crumble and how the entire flop drama is going to unfold.
I have nothing against the new found voices of Sangram, Ellie, Andy and Sofia but can you blame me for thinking that these are the people who are basking in the reflected glory of Salman Khan. In Hindi there is saying, those who live in water cannot afford the wrath of a crocodile.
I appreciate a person like Armaan who is always his real self rather than waiting to the see the direction the wind blows. Give me a Gauhar or even Pratyusha who rush in where angels fear to tread than a Sangram who is acting like a loyal 'karyakarta' or a 'humble worker' of a political party waiting for the High command's instruction before taking any call.
Where is the chutzpah, the spontaneity, the edginess that meant Bigg Boss for me. Salman killed it.By giving them such a sacrosanct guideline about his personal preferences, he ruined the suspense of the show. Now most of us know who are reaching the top five. What a shame.
Regarding Andy, he needs to be pulled up for his disrespectful non sense of humour. In an earlier programme he mispronounced Ragini Khanna's mom name, Kamini as Kameeni and found it very funny.(Ragini did not.)
Kushal. For his crass comments needed to be spanked on his you know where. Salman chose to guillotined him. Why use a sword when a needle works just fine.
Nothing left for me to watch in Bigg Boss. It is like someone has already told me the ending of a murder who dun it.
