HI guys, Yesterday I thought I had broken my addiction to the show...because it didn't watch it and I didn't miss watching it...and I decided ...right now would be a good time to break the habit for good...

But the discussion on Weddays Sushpective went on between the two sides of us...one side that believes in the good side of Shlok, believe he has genuine feelings for Aastha, and even if he wants to he will not harm Aastha... ...and the other side that believes that Shlok is completely driven by bad motives a least at this point in the show, is creepy and has no feelings for Aastha...well that is just a black and white description of the two views...in reality...we have various shades of grey in between...In any case...the lawyers for dark side declared victory this morning...and told us...we have proof now...that Shlok is indeed a creep...case shut...which tempted me to break my resolve ( as weak as it was) and watch the show ...to see for myself if we, the "lawyers" for the good side really lost...

So I watched todays episode..

Lets start with Shloks character which is the most interesting thing right now...at least there is something t be figured out...unlike Aastha...who is just acting totally silly at the moment...

Back to Shlok...

Is he a good or is a bad guy?

Does he have any feelings or is it all pretend?

What is his intention? What does he want to do?

OK...lets start with the good...

He stood up and took responsibility for the marriage and declared as such promptly...

He tried to protect Aastha...from accusations...from the wrath...

He even went against his father...who didn't like this a bit

He talked politely to Aasthas parents and his own dad (but he continues to be quite Baddatameez to his mom...)

And he did look better with better trimming of the beard and better clothing ...

Now the bad...

He does have an ulterior motive and a hidden agenda...

He wants to give bad " surprises" to Aastha

Whatever he is planning indicates that Aasthas good days are numbered...

So ...he is not what he seems...

So he is definitely grey...and looks more dark than ever...but...if he is one way or the other...the story is finished ...over!!! Therefore, there is no question that it will not be one way or the other...the question really is how intertwined the good and bad are...if the CVs have finesse these shades will be painted with a fine mosaic ...if not...they will show him in blocks of good and blocks of bad...making him look inconsistent...

To me...a man with no conscious ...and all fake persona...is not attractive as a lead character...he has to have good intermixed with what is bad ...I don't think there are many who want a dark hero with no virtue...for that reason...I will argue that it can't be all dark...and there is hope...There is a difference between an antihero and a villain...

Time will tell if the producers want to make it a story of abused women...Aastha being one of them ...or Aastha being the one to break the chain with Shlok...if Shlok is all dark...there is no hope...because abusers don't change...there is only hope if they don't become abusers in the first place...

Please chime in and share your views on either side...Sushpectives welcome ALL...those who are regulars ..as much as those who are new...😃 And if you like reading what I write...do show ... I am always questioning myself about the value of time commitment that goes in making these posts...

Updating on family reaction..

The biggest takeaway from today's episode which makes me happy is that the character of Tai is introduced to make NAs character clear to the viewers...it does not seem to me that it was the original plan to have some one like her in the show...which would have meant NA would have to be the one making peace and giving a path to acceptance of this marriage...this would have made NA and Shlok conspiring together to get this marriage and tainted Shloks character further...so they brought Tai in...and now they can have an elder giving a way out...without having to appear like someone conspiring...BRILLIANT MOVE!!!!👏

NOw NA can be clearly shown to be angry and say he is upset and that he does not accept the marriage... It shows NA and Shlok are not on the same side...they are against each others wishes...so that viewers are not confused that Shlok is doing all this on NAS instructions...and at the same time there is at least one elder in NAS family who is accepting the marriage and tells others to accept it...

And THANK YOU CVs FOR NOT HAVNG A STORY WHERE SHLOK WOULD BE A PUPPET TO NA...Sloks character already does not have much positives, this would have sunk him completely...

Kalindi is turning out to be as strong a character as NA...but on the positive side...LOVE IT!!!! That was an amazing scene with her and Aastha where she feels helpless and angry with her child who can not understand the reality ...and is making bad decisions...and then she hugs her...with all the feelings of a mother who loves her child even if they have done a mistake...

Updating on the precap...

OK...regarding the phone conversation and the precap...

THe phone conversation was quite natural...I don't know what they show in desi serials but two people getting married ...don't talk about family issues all the time in a private phone call...nothing wrong with that...

Him calling Aastha to his house for what an OIL MASSAGE? Without telling anyone? Now what kind of rasam is that? And if it s a rasam why does Aastha need to hide? This looks like another setting for a big TAMASHA...the show is full of Tamashas...

So...I don't get it...what is the worst that can happen? The family will see them together...and scold Aastha more...? Give her a bad name? But he is still marrying her...so how would that benefit him?

Ok...the other suspicion can be ...he is calling her to have SR? ReallY? At his house? With all those people around? That would be quite a dumb plan...if he thinks that would work...😆

He broke my bubble today...I can say that..his self talk with his inner demon was vindictive...but as u said...he cannot be totally dark..there must be some lighter shades somewhere...

right now what he is planning is for the sole reason and that is destruction of an innocent soul...but then he is bound to her by fate...and he will realize it the hard way...that could be the story at length

As for Astha...I call her dimwit..many say she is realistic...there are people like her ...I do not know anybody in person..but maybe there are...

many in the forum have given reasons for why she is the way she is...thought provoking ones though...I do not feel any sympathy towards her..but to see that bubbly girl getting crushed would be hard ...

Sush...today's suspective is one indepth one..u have given a new life to a guy who is almost written off as dark by many...to an extent after today by me too...u have given him a life...and me a hope that he will come back and will be her pillar of strength..someday...

Sush - agree with you. He can't be all bad - if he is then that will be THE END. Somewhere within there is a hurt little man boy. But, till those wounds are healed with love and truth... Shlokie is a BHOOT. A ghost in human roop. Aashta of course is still out of the loop, but seems she is also desperate for SOUP.

Sush I believe the junta always jumps the gun...

agar pre cap hi sab kuch bata deta then why is the whole epi aired ..monday episode will bring in some more revealations but shlok will not be as dark as being hinted ..all cvs ploy to keep it interesting

heyyy Sush😊...good to see you back...I am also going back and forth with the show like you...I think Shlok is pretty bad now - because he has not only married her but is trying to get physical with her - even though he wants to give her an "ugly" surprise. I know that some part of the forum will explode if Shlok sleeps with her when he actually does not love her...but that's happened in that Parineeti Chopra movie " Ishqzaade" and the movie actually did well...I just hope that the CVs don't come under pressure and change the story now...I hope they stick to it...I might not like Shlok but that would make the whole story intriguing...

I think Sholk is evil...but I am fine with it...I don't want cheesy Shlok🤢

Yes...Aastha wants soup too...the question is can she wait until the deal is fully done and not start dishing out goods with just an MOU!!!!😆

I also think its an opportunity for CVs to show Shlokie boy is not AS BAD as the junta is fearing him to be...
