Recap :

Jalal looked at Hameeda with mixed expressions of Anger and fear.
He said (with tearful voice) - Ammi Jaan..Humne to gunah kiya hi tha..lekin kahin na kahin Jodha Begum ki haalat ki zimmedar
aap bhi hain..

Agar inhe kuch hua, ya humare bache ko kuch hua..to naa to hum khud ko kabhi muaff kar payenge..aur na hi aapko!!

He lifted Jodha in his arms..Hameeda could not say anything but cried.
All of them made their way back to Agra Palace.

Chapter 9 :

Everyone in the palace were really worried now. They constantly prayed to Allah for the well-being of their Queen Jodha, Mallika-e-Azam Hameeda and their Shahenshah Jalal.

Only one person was still oblivious to the news of Jodha's pregnancy...Ruqaiya.

Jalal, before leaving to search for Jodha and Hameeda, had strictly ordered everyone to keep this news a secret from Ruqaiya.
He knew that Ruqaiya wont be able to digest the news, for she had a grudge against Jodha.

Maham Anga was shocked to her core when she got to know that Jodha was pregnant. Her mind had stopped working.

But She had never thought about the other side of coin. If molestation was the crime, she should have thought of such consequences.
Her mind refused to think further. For present moment, she waited for Jalal to return and then she would think further.

But one thing she was sure of, If she could kill the unborn heirs till today, and specially Rukaiya's baby..Jodha's baby was not a big deal.
But ofcourse, she would have to be extra-careful with this.

Everyone had gathered in the court with worried and anxious faces as the time passed by.
Ruqaiya, oblivious of the reality, waited for Jalal in Jalal's room, preparing surprises for him.

Finally, the early afternoon arrived and the guards proclaimed the arrival of Shahenshah-e-Hind Jalalludin Mohammad.

Everyone's faces turned delightful and happy as they saw Jalal with Jodha in his arms and Mallika-e-Azam coming in the palace.
But soon their expressions changed when they noticed that Jodha was fainted and her face was pale.

For the first time..after a long dark month..had they seen their King and Queen together.
No matter, Jalal's "Khaas" Begum was Ruqaiya..But all of the palace residents and ministers had taken Jodha to be their queen.
THeir hearts bowed to Jodha.

Jalal gestured of all the people..not to make any noise right now and He straight went to Jodha's chamber.
He immediately called for all the Hakim Sahibas and special doctors in Jodha's chambers.
Hameeda had not left Jodha alone for even one second.
She did not say anything to Jalal as she was more worried about Jodha's condition and it was not the time for arguments.

Finally, Jodha's treatment started and Jalal was asked to move out of the room..for Hakims needed to tend to Jodha.

Jalal waited outside the room and he was so worried..that tears rolled down his eyes.

A flood of memories and emotions cascaded through his mind. His heart felt so happy..so ecstatic..so blissful..with the mere news of his soon
becoming a father.
But on the other hand, he felt so miserable..so despondent..so crestfallen upon his demonic and monstrous deeds.

Had he even tried to meet Jodha or apologise to her after the incident..the situation would have been little different..atleast less worse.

But now, he determined..Let whatever happen..Let Jodha take his life..But He would atleast try to meet with her and talk to her.
He would do his best for apologising to his wife and he would care the best for his child.

THe worst fear of both..Jalal and Hameeda..was that Jodha had a lot of mental abrasions and contusions..Her heart had bled everyday
with the haunting memories. She had lost her innermost integrity..her virginity..her purity..

They thought..how would Jodha be able to carry on her pregnancy while dealing with her inner turmoil everyday. They needed to do something immediately.

Hameeda came out of Jodha's room and saw a lost and teary Jalal outside. Her motherly heart pitied her child but She had sweared..SHe would never ever forgive him
for his crime.

She slowly moved towards Jalal, kept her hands on his shoulder and said expressionlessly - Jodha Begum ab thik hain Jalal ! Vo abhi bhi behish hain..lekin unki haalat
thik hai pehle se..

Jalal immediately asked out of care - Aur humara bacha??

Hameeda said - Jodha beta aur unka bacha..dono surakshit hain..

Jalal felt so relieved and solaced with Hameeda's words. He immediately hugged Hameeda and cried in her arms.
Hameeda did not resist..for she somewhere understood his feelings.

Jalal felt so palliated and assuaged from his mother's touch. After so much time..had he felt at somewhat peace.
He broke the hug and Hameeda turned to move away.

Jalal immediately held Hameeda's hand and said - Ammi Jaan!!

Before Hameeda could realise anything.. Jalal fell on his knees..touching Hameeda's feet.
He cried profusely and joined his hands asking for forgiveness.

He said with much difficulty - Humein muaff kar dijiye Ammi-Jaan..Hum apne kiye karmon par bahut sharminda hain..Hum jaante hain ki hum muafi ke layak nahi..
parantu humse muh mat feriye.. Hum mar jayenge.. Hum khud bhi apne aapko muaf nahi kar sakte.. Kabhi nahi.. Hum jaante hain humne Jodha Begum ko itna dard
pahuchaya hai..ke vo humari shakl bhi nahi dekhna chahti..lekin..Ammi Jaan..Is waqt humein Unki Sehat aur humare bache ke baare mein sochna zyada zaruri hai,,,
Kripya humein muaff kar dein Ammi- Jaan..Hum waada karte hain aapse ki hum Jodha BEgum se is had tak muaffi mange ge ki unhe humein kuaff karna hi padega..
Hum unka khayal rakhenge..Hum unhe aur apne bache ko duniya ki sab khushiyan denge...Jo jeevan humare karan narak ban gaya...Use swarg bhi hum hi banayenge..
Ye humara aapse wada hai..

And he cried inconsolably in her feet.

Hameeda's heart melted with his words..She lifted up Jalal and hugged him.

She said - Ye mat samjhiyega Jalal ki humne aapko muaff kar diya.. Kyonki vo asambhav hai.. Lekin humein aapke lavz sunkar thodi raahat mili..
Hum khush hain ke aapko apni galti ka ehsaas hai.. Lekin sabse pehle humein ye sochna hai ke Jodha Begum ke andar ka pratighat bahar kaise nikala jaaye..
Vo andar se puri tarah toot chuki hain Jalal..Humein Jald hi kuch karna hoga..varna unka dukh unke aur bache ke liye acha nahi hai..

Jalal felt a bit relieved. And assured Hameeda ..that He would do everything now. He just needed her support.

Precap - Jodha gets up and asks for Hameeda. The Bandhi tells her that she was summoned in the Diwaan-e-Khaas..Jodha gets terrified..She thinks - Oh No! WHat is he upto?
Is he going to punish Ammi-Jaan?? And She gets up from bed.
