Chapter 7

Rathore was lost in Arjun problems, that he didn't pay too much heed to what until the words Aisha and marriage caught his attention, and shouted a big, "What! Are you crazy?"

"So you also didn't know then," Arjun said seeing Rathore shocked face, though there was something else on Rathore's face also. Pain, sadness or even anger... It seemed for one second, Arjun could see these feelings in Rathore's eyes, but since it disappeared too quickly, Arjun felt that maybe he had imagined things.

Arjun started to narrate on how he had seen Aisha there, and that Aisha had introduced herself as Liza's bhabhi.

"People do hide lots of things. Despite working with her for so long, none of us even knew she was married," Arjun said still a bit shocked, "But maybe she has her reasons and anyway it's her private life," Arjun ended with, already pushing Aisha away from his thoughts.

"Yes, sometimes we never know some people at all," Rathore said emotionlessly.

"Waise Sam, tomorrow you'll come with me! You are the only one who can calm Mama and make her listen. And I seriously need your support!" Arjun said defeatedly, getting back to the main problem at hand.

"Ok, theek hein! Waise Shree ka kuch pata chala?" Rathore asked.

"Abhi tak nahin!" Arjun said angrily.

After discussing for some time, both friends agreed that Arjun would come to pick Rathore up first, then pick Liza's and all will go home. That night Arjun couldn't sleep at all. He sincerely hoped that his mother would not be too angry at him or Shree.

Neither could Rathore sleep for some reason still unknown to himself.

The next morning Arjun went to pick up Rathore and both went to Liza's apartment.

Sakshi went to open the door, and found herself looking at two men. One was glaring ar her, while the other one was chuckling at her. She immediately recognized the latter as Mr Rathore, the one Arjun had dumped the baby on. She asked them to come inside, and wait for some time. She had a few things to wrap up before she could leave from here.

Arjun asked whether he could go and see Aryan, and Sakshi agreed, while she went to her room. Rathore was left alone in the living room, since he wasn't very fond of babies, especially not after his experience with small Aryan the other day. He was just going to sit on a chair, when he heard someone knock on the door behind him. Since he was the only one present, he went to open the door. He found himself looking at the shocked face of Aisha. He couldn't stop himself from staring at her, remembering Arjun's words that Aisha was a married woman.

Aisha had just gotten out from her vehicle. She checked her watch and saw that she was running very late. She prayed that Arjun hadnt reached yet, and rushed on the stairs. She was breathing heavily when she reached Sakshi's floor. She waited for a few seconds and knocked on the door.

She was completely shocked on seeing Rathore here, and she couldn't stop herself from uttering, "Sir, aap aur yahan?" But Rathore was lost somewhere else, he was still thinking about Arjun's words that Aisha was married. He didn't even hear her question. Aisha had a puzzled expression on her face, never before had Rathore looked at her in such a way. It was as if he was trying to see what was in her soul, find answers even she hadnt found or wanted to find till now.

"Sir?!" Aisha shouted a bit louder.

It was only then that she realized that Rathore must know the truth of her life. Arjun must have told him everything. She felt herself completely exposed towards him. She had hoped that her past would remain in her past, and never come in her present and future. But all had been wishful thinking on her part.

It took a few minutes for Rathore to compose himself, and the second time Aisha called him, was enough to break his thoughts. However, before he could say anything, Aisha said sadly, "You know about my marriage."

It wasn't even a question, just a simple defeated statement from her side. Not having the courage nor wish to say more, Aisha went inside the flat taking great pains to pass as far as possible from Rathore. Rathore closed the door and followed her inside. He didn't know why, but he felt he wanted to know everything, something inside of him wanted to reassure her to clear that sadness he had seen on her face.

Before Rathore could say anything, Sakshi came out of her room and simultaneously Arjun came out of Aryan's room and said, "Shall we go now? Have you packed everything?" To which Sakshi nodded.

Sakshi turned to see Aisha and that ACP Rathore standing there. Sakshi no longer felt afraid of going anywhere. She knew Aisha would protect her from everything. But fortunately for her, she didn't even think that Aisha wasn't going to stay there with her, so in general she was going to be alone.

Sakshi stepped towards Aisha and was going to thank her for her support, but Arjun asked them to stop their useless chattering and to leave this apartment.

"Sam there are only four big suitcases, you take half and I'll take the other half!" Arjun said looking towards Rathore.

Sakshi took Aryan's in her arms, and one last look at her apartment, she left there with tears in her eyes. This had been her small home, almost a shelter, her hiding place for a long time now. Despite everything, it hurt leaving from here. With a heavy heart she took the stairs down and left the building.

They all got in Arjun's car and after one hour of driving, Arjun finally stopped them in front of a very big house. He got out and took their suitcases out of the car, soon some people came and took all the suitcases inside.

Arjun signaled Liza to come forward and all went inside that house. Each had different feelings in their minds at that time.

Arjun was thinking and hoping that his mother wouldn't be too angry, or take it very badly when he told her the truth, well part of the truth given he doesn't even know what to say.

Sakshi was absolutely scared thinking what will happen in this house with her and Aryan.

Rathore was worried for his friend, but his mind was more taken by Aisha. He couldn't stop himself from stealing glances at her profile.

And finally Aisha was still reeling with pain that her private life had slowly come in front of everyone. She had done everything to leave her past behind, but like they say one's past never leave one, at any point in life, it will come back. She knew that the questions will start as from now...

They all finally reached the front door, and Arjun opened it and all went inside.
