Ok let me make this clear, I am not trying to say what is going on is right.

However, in real life I know a family where a brother married his sister-in-law after the brothers untimely death. Only difference between KS is that he wasn't married before. This is in India and in Bombay!
The father of the family asked of this because after him, there would be no one to take care of her and her son.
So basically my point is, that this isn't unheard of.
It is extremely weird when you hear it first, but it is a fact of life, so we can't really get mad at creatives of reapeating real life.
