Chapter 17-

Arnavji...! What are you doing? Leave my hand...! Someone will see us...

Let them... I want to see my beautiful fiance now! And once again you are back to Arnavji? He asked with slight raised eye brows...

It was the night of their sangeet and it was held in RM. The Gupta's had arrived an hour ago but Arnav had not got any chance to speak to his khushi privately nor could properly see and admire her of how beautiful she was looking. So he did what he was always best in doing; he dragged khushi without anyone noticing and came to his poolside and locked her in his arms...

I said you that day itself... you are a cheater..! I won't call you arnav! With this she turned her face away though she knew at how close proximity she was with her Arnavji... his breath was fanning her face and he was leaning towards her face...! DANGER her mind alerted... but it was though he body was out of control and she turned to face him... at the same time arnav brought his lips close to hers and pressed a feather light kiss...and once again leaned back. Just one touch of his made her want more... as he drew back an involuntary moan escaped her lips...,

Arnav...

Yes sweet heart? Suddenly she opened her eyes coming out of the trance only to see a smirking arnav. She flushed. Once again her heart never listened to her mind neither her body...! It was as though both would go on a long vacation with one touch of arnav. She huffed and turned away from him,

I was right! You are a cheater...!

What did I do? It was you who voluntarily told my name...

Haw...! You you... khushi poked her index finger against his chest hard trying to blame him for her loss of senses and make him admit... but he was no where into giving in. He held her hand and brought her close to him and in a second she was buried in the warmth of arnav's arms...

You know khushi whenever you call me by my name... it feels as though you belong to me...! Until now no one has called me arnav... I'm always someone's bhai, chotey, ASR and sir... But never arnav..! And I want to give this right only to you... will you please call me just arnav? He asked with a loving tone.

Khushi just gave him a silent nod against his chest. How could she deny such a heart melting request and that for the man she loves the most in this world?

Arnav... she called and rose on her tiptoes and gave him a peck on both his cheeks...

Khushi... he said and sighed loving the warmth of her rose like lips touching his face...

We have to leave now Arnavji... everyone will be waiting...

Is it necessary? He asked. He never like such pompus and big fat weddings... but he knew how much khushi loves them... and he will anything for her happiness...!

Yes..! She said with a cute pout and sighed, but I am very sad Arnav...

What happened khushi? Is anything not correct? He asked concern evident in his voice...

What type of ritual is this that the bride and groom should not dance on their own wedding?

Laughter bubbled through his body when he saw her child like face now pouting as she was not given her favorite chocolate... since yesterday when buaji and nani announced that khushi should not dance she had been very upset and was behaving weirdly too... trying every tactics of her to make them oblige for her to perform... but they had stubbornly denied not giving her any more chance of argument or negotiation...he tried his best to control his laughter and tried to speak in a plain and composed voice,

See... I knew these rituals will always be a hindrance... and now because of them you are sad too... it would have been better if we opted for a simple court marriage... don't you think so? He asked sure of what her reply gonna be...

How can you say like that arnav...? All these rituals are very important! And I'm not allowed to dance because they don't want the bride to be too tired or exhausted for her own wedding...! Don't you ever dare to condemn these rituals! They hold at utmost value on my life...! She finished with a huff.

See... you are only upset with the rituals and now you only try to defend their terms too...! What is my fault in it? I just wanted to cheer you up that's all... arnav said with fake hurt in his voice. He knew this will be her undoing and she will forget everything about her performance...

Oh I'm soo sorry arnav... She said with a hand on his cheeks and caressing it... if it wasn't NK's call at that time searching for them, then they would have surely got lost into their web of love...

We are coming Nanheji...let's go...! Said and khushi and holding arnav's arm she dragged him downstairs where many performance from their relatives were going on...

The sangeet was grand affair...! More than a dozen performances was done and there was a short break so that arnav's clients and associates could come and congratulate the couple. Khushi was doing a splendid job smiling and blushing for each and every comment that was passed through their way... arnav had tightly held khushi waist lest she run away or someone take her away stating some or the other rituals...! For all the dance performances he had hardly cared to see except for payash's performance, arnav's entire focus was on khushi who was smiling cheering and hooting for each and every performance. She was an enigma and a vision who he could never afford to miss.

After a few minutes akash came by his side and whispered in his ear,

Bhai! We can proceed for the 2^nd step! Annalisa is here...

Ok call di...

Yeah right away... and akash scurried off to call Anjali... Khushi was watching them by the time akash came was quite intrigued as they were not sharing anything with her and talking in whispers...

What did jijaji tell arnav?

Oh nothing...a colleague of mine has come, and akash informed me just that... come I will make her meet you...

Her? Khushi asked but by the time arnav could answer Anjali came there...

Chotey...! Why did you call me?

Oh sure! Saying so the trio went towards a lady who was standing at the far end of the wall and turning her back towards them. She was wearing a beautiful peach color gown which was totally black less and she seemed to be having a glass of mock tail in her hand. She turned around just in time as arnav reached there and smiled widely. But something in Anjali and Khushi didn't make her look as good as she seemed.

Hello Annalisa... arnav smiled greeting her warmly and extending his hand for a handshake.

Hey ASR...! Nice to meet you after so long...! Arnav simply smiled at that. 4 eyes were staring at the locked hands which was taking a little bit more time to get back into its rightful places... khushi cleared her throat gaining the much needed attention of Annalisa...

Ah! I guess this wonderful lady beside is your to-be-bride? Arnav nodded this time but with a proud glint in his eyes... and just then Annalisa took khushi by surprise by hugging her in the most sophisticated way possible. Anjali was just a silent spectator... Annalisa then turned towards Anjali...

And you are?

She is my sister... Anjali Jha...!

Oh nice to meet you too... and Jha? Annalisa asked as though confused why her name doesn't have a Raizada.

Oh she is married... Her husband is a great lawyer... he has his own firm too. Shyam Manohar Jha...!

Wow..! Your husband is an advocate? Can you please help me Mrs.Jha? I have some problems in some of the properties I've invested in...

Oh sure no problem... come with me. Anjali said and led Annalisa to where her husband was...her initial dislike for the girl now gone as she seemed to be very warm and genuine person. What was I doing? He asked non-chalantly which just irked khushi more.

Why were you shaking hands with that chudail for so long? Though Anna was very much warm with her later, the moment she way holding her husband arm and caressing it did not settle down well with her.

Chudail...? Are you jealous Ms.Gupta?! He asked with a teasing smirk to rile her up more...

Hell yess...! If it all I see such things again... beware that I will call that who-so-ever witch she is and tie your hands near one of your planted trees and make you drink the bitter kada everyday...! She finished, her eyes glaring.

Whoa...! Then I will make sure that I stay away from all the other ladies... I can't risk taking chances with you... can I?

Uh umm...arnav said pretending as though to think on it...

I'm sooo sorry khushi... khu... I really didn't mean any of that! I was just joking around... sorry khu... khushi... his voice was cracking. He couldn't bear tears in her eyes. And now the reason for that was he himself. Before this incident he had never known that khushi could be as possessive for him as he was for her! His soothing words were having the desired effect as he could sense her being calm...

I'm sorry...! I really didn't mean to pull this so long... I promise that I will never ever think of any other women...! Heck! I promise you can tie me to you right now in all the way and I'm never going to leave you... sorry..!

Promise...?! She asked raising her head a little to see his face marred with worry lines...

Promise! He whispered and kissed her hands. After composing themselves after a few minutes they were making their way towards the family when arnav said,

I'm glad you were jealous... now I'm sure that my plan will work out?

WHAT? You planned all this to make me jealous? She screeched.

NO...! Annalisa is my friend... and I called her here so that she could make di feel insecure...

How can that be possible? I was jealous of her and why would di be insecure by that?

She has gone to meet shyam now...!

Khushi! Seriously didn't you still get it? You were plain jealous because of Anna just coz we held hands for far more time than actually does! And I actually didn't even care for it... think what will happen when Anna actually persuades shyam to be close to her in front of di...? And knowing shyam he will definitely not leave a chance like that...! And surely di will start feeling insecure and may eventually start doubting upon shyam's love for her too...!

Wow arnav..! What a plan! I'm impressed... saying so she winked and gave him side hug...

I hope this will work out... di should come out of that relationship herself. We can't force her because it will break her down... he said looking lost.

And indeed the plan was working amazingly...!

Anjali led her way towards her husband so that she could make him meet Anna and help the poor girl and found him standing in the other corner talking in the phone. As soon as shyam noticed his wife coming in his way he cut the call and turned towards her with a sick smile.

Rani Saheba... he called out and looked the other side to see beautiful and enchanting lady beside his boring wife...

Shyamji... she is Annalisa... Chotey's colleague... She introduced. Anna raised her like a perfect model whose palm was upside down as though indicating to take her hand in a kiss... shyam he noticed that had a strange glint in his eyes... Anjali who hadn't noticed how Anna was giving out her hand just smiled.

But the next moment when she saw her husband taking Anna's hand kissing the top of it her blood boiled in anger. Anger for the person who dared to do such an act in front of her..! He never behaved so..! Anna has forwarded her hand just like she did with chotey for a handshake... but her husband kissed her? Why?! She was glaring at him but the later was quite smitten by the new lady that he didn't focus on his enraged wife.

My Pleasure... Anna said with her husky voice. Making him think of weird things about her so that he would fall into her trap...

Shyamji! Anjali called barely controlling her anger. He turned towards her and noted the changing expressions on her face.

Anna here has some problem with some properties... so she asked if you could be of any help to her...

Oh... I guess I can... he was continuing when Anjali cut him off...

And I just remembered that you have a trip next week and will be busy for the whole month right? She then turned towards Anna and said,

Sorry... he will be busy and he may not be able to help... I'll just ask chotey to talk with his lawyers and see if he can do anything alright? Anjali said with a controlled and forced smile on her face. But shyam bet her into it...

Arre rani saheba... Annalisa is saale sahab's colleague... how can I deny her? What will saale sahab think? I will try and manage my schedule... don't worry! And yes I can help you... he said and smiled to himself at least he will have a distraction from his annoying for some time and have a happy time...!

Anjali could barely stand there and listen her husband asking about the details of the property and rushed off to her room stating she should freshen up. She couldn't believe that her ever-so loving husband didn't pay any heed to her words and went ahead to help her... how can he? He never had been so reluctant towards her... always by her side and doing things making her happy... but did she miss anything? May be the news that she is pregnant got him off-guard and like many other husbands at this time did he also started having cold feet? Is he distancing himself from her coz she is gonna be pregnant? Does he no longer find her the same as before? Doesn't he love her with the same intensity as before? She asked herself. Somewhere he knew what the answer could be... but she didn't want to stress herself thinking about that. She is pregnant and needs to be happy! If the only way she can be totally satisfied is clearing her doubts about her husband's love towards her... then so be it! She will try and observe his each and every action from now on.

Unknown to her a pair of eyes had been watching curiously at her and was happy at the outcome of expressions he could see from her face.

The sangeet had once again been resumed and arnav and khushi were sitting in the front row in a love bird's seat when NK rushed towards them and kneeled down beside arnav and said,

Our 2^nd Mission is accomplished...! Di is quite upset on JI-JA-JI! He said and showed thumbs up. Arnav nodded and turned towards akash and gestured him to do the next step. Akash silently nodded towards his bhai and went near his beautiful mother and said,

Maate... it's your turn now...! Manorama then wore her pink goggles and straightened her hair and turned towards Anjali and said,

Manorama bond is on her mission...! And went away leaving behind a smiling akash.
