Part 23

Astha after the marriage announcement sees sarita hearing everything from a distance..

Astha excuses herself from there and follows sarita to her room

She goes to sarita's room and tells her "aunty... U told me na that until I forgive your son I cant move on with my life!!! But now I have moved on In my life and I don't need to forgive him anymore"

"Astha u don't need to do anything to prove anything to me.. u need to tell this to yourself and persuade urself.." sarita smiles and replies back

" Y are u both doing this? Ur son took away each and every person I loved from my life and he deserves whatever I am doing.. I don't regret it.. so please I don't want to discuss this topic ever again" astha teary eyed folds her hands and says ..

Astha turns back and sees shlok standing there and hearing the entire conversation..

Astha just walks away..

Shlok walks upto his mother " mom why?? Why did u talk to astha??"

"no son.. actually..." sarita tries to explain

"please mom let me handle all this.. and now that astha has decided to marry karan I don't want you to talk to her about her past and about us.. I don't want to spoil anything for her this time.. karan is a good guy and I am happy for them.." shlok says angrily and walks away

"ok son.. I wont talk to her.. but I know that u still love her and she loves u too.. and wether u both want it or not but the god up there will decide the destiny of u both" sarita tells herself

Astha and Diya are sitting in the hall and a poojari has visited to find the right dates for the wedding

" 7 days later ia a good date for an engagement.. couple of days later u can keep sangeet and mehandi, then haldi and then the wedding date is after 15 days" pandit ji finds the dates

"ok that's fine with us pandit ji... We will start preparations for the engagement from today only" diya says in excitement and looks at astha

Astha nods her head and smiles in agreement

Suddenly someone closes astha's eyes.. Astha opens the hands and turns back to see GAURI

"congratulations" gauri is very excited

"Gauri .. its you... my god I am seeing u after so many days.. what a surprise"astha hugs gauri and welcomes her

" surprise?? That's given to me by you.. u know karan called me yesterday and told me about u guys getting married.. I was shocked.. but u know what astha I am so happy for you.. am glad u have decided to move on" gauri hugs astha and sees karan and shlok coming together

Gauri's smile turns into a shocked expression " Shlok?"

She looks at astha in shock

Astha smiles at karan and karan says hi to gauri...

Astha clutches gauri's hand and signa her to be quiet and not ask anything for now..

Diya comes with a plate of sweets and puts it into karans mouth "bhai the engagement and wedding date is fixed.. congrats brother" and they hug in happiness

Astha excuses herself and takes gauri to her room

"Are u out of ur mind astha?? What the hell is shlok agnihotri doing here?" gauri asks

"gauri I told u that he is karan's friend.. he is here for some work"astha says in irritation

"but astha ..karan is shloks best friend.. now I am scared for you..what if he turns out to be like shlok?" gauri questions

"stop it gauri.. u know karan.. u know what all he has done for us till date.. so please ..and by the way karan doesn't know anything about shlok.. I tried telling him but he said he is not interested in knowing my past.. so I dint mention.. so u also" astha says

"what !!!! are u serious astha.. he dint want to listen so u dint tell either.. great astha.. u are being crazy now.. what if karan gets to know later after marriage.. what will u do.. u have suffered already.."

"Gauri please.. if someone has to speak to karan it is me and not anyone else.. so I don't want u to talk about it.. when the time is right I will tell everything to karan"astha explains

Karan is sitting in office and he gets a call from diya

"bhai.. I wanted to remind you to go to the jeweler today and buy the engagement rings.. please take astha with you and buy it today only.. please don't forget bhai ok.. keep all your work for later.. nothing is more important now"

"Ok dear sis I will do so.. I have loads of work to complete.. I need to take a leave from my work after wedding so I have to try and complete everything now"karan smiles and says

Shlok comes to meet karan and they discuss some work..

Karan says "shlok am taking astha to the jeweller to buy engagement rings.. so lets go there first then we will go to the site" karan tells shlok

"no karan.. no actually I have some other work.. I need to go to the lawyer.. u guys go ahead and finish the shopping and I will see u at the site" shlok makes an excuse not to accompany them..

"come on yar shlok.. I am not good in all this jewellery buying.. so u need to help me.. astha I know will just say yes to whatever I will buy wether good or bad.. please yar come with us and help me choose the ring" karan insists and drags shlok along

They all reach the jeweller store...

As they enter and ask for engagement rings.. and they keep looking for good ones..

Astha looks for a good ring for karan.. and asks the jeweler to show her a ring she liked..

While shlok and karan are looking for rings in the other section.. karan keeps picking up some rings and shows shlok for opinion.. but shlok did not like them.. finally shlok notices a beautiful diamond ring and he picks it up and shows karan and karan likes it too..

Astha brings the ring she chose to show karan and karan also shows her the ring he chose for her...

" why don't u try this astha" he says and asks her to show her hand for him to put it into her finger

Astha lifts her hand for karan to put the ring..

Just when he is about to put the ring.. karans phone rings .. he pics up the phone as astha is waiting..

"what !!what the hell.. y do I need to be there in every meeting..ok fine I will come..." karan is saying something to an office guy over the phone... as he gets busy to talk astha is still waiting

Karan gives the ring to shlok and asks him to put it into her finger and try..

Astha looks at karan worried...

But karan talking on the phone insists shlok to put the ring "come on shlok.. guys I need to go fast.. I have an important meeting.. hurry up guys"

In all the hurry shlok puts the ring into astha's finger to try.. As he does that astha gets irritated.. but anyways she lets him put the ring for the sake of karan...

Karan smiles as he liked the ring on astha's hand

Karan says shlok and astha to hurry up and take the rings and make a move.. and he walks out of the jewellery store to talk on the phone..

Astha removes the ring immediately and thinks about karans ring that he dint try it.. the shopkeeper asks them whether they will buy both the rings?

Shlok takes karans ring and tries it on his finger and it fits him right "I think it will fit karan" he says and asks the jeweler to pack both the rings..

Astha walks away in anger..

They both reach the parking basement... karan is there talking on the phone.. he disconnects the call and tells "come on guys lets go"

As they are about to sit in the car.. some guys attack them..

They actually come to harm karan.. they are sent by some competition guys who want to harm karan to get a big business deal that karan is handling

They start hitting karan as shlok and astha try to resist.. shlok also starts fighting with them to save karan..

In all the fight some of the guys hold astha and pull her aside and hold her tightly.. Astha keeps screaming karans name...

The guys beat up karan and shlok very badly..

Astha is in tears but she is unable to do anything as she has been held by the 2 guys.. she keeps trying to release herself but in vain..

Karan and shlok are injured..they hold shlok away from karan very tightly...

Two guys catch karan tightly and one guy removes a big knife to stab karan..

Astha keeps screaming.. she is in full tears as she screams karan karan and she goes helpless

Shlok sees astha's condition and remembers her words to his mother

" Y are u both doing this? Ur son took away each and every person I loved from my life and he deserves whatever I am doing.. I don't regret it..

Remembering that Shlok collets his energy and gives a hard blow from his leg to the guy holding him and releases himself..

The guy is about to stab karan..

But in the nick of time he saves karan and pushes him away.. but the guy stabs shlok...

Shlok is stabbed and he falls down bleeding badly...

Astha sreams "Shlok.. Shlok.."

The guys get scared seeing shlok being stabbed and they run away escaping

Astha runs to Shlok and holds him and starts crying... Karan runs to find his phone and calls the ambulance and cops..

They all reach the hospital... the doctors take shlok into a treatment room and astha and karan wait outside

Astha stands in a corner and cries.. Karan sees astha crying... he feels somewhat.. something strange as he hasn't seen astha like this before..

Anyways he comes and comforts her..

Everyone from the house sarita, diya and all reach there... and they are worried

The doctor comes out and says " He is fine.. luckily the stab was not too deep..hehasnt got any major injuries.. he will be fine in couple of days..he needs rest.. one of u can meet him"

Astha moves forward in relief to meet shlok.. but suddenly she realizes and stops herself and walks away..

Sarita meets shlok and comes out and says that he is fine and everyone should go home.. and she will stay there for the night..

Karan holds astha's shoulder and says " we should go home now astha.. don't worry he will be fine"

Astha agrees... She sees shlok from the window and slowly walks away with karan and diya to go home

As they reach home.. Astha keeps thinking about the whole incident..

She remembers shlok deliberately comingin between to save karan and getting stabbed.. Astha suddenly feels bad for shlok..

Karan goes to his room and keeps thinking about the incident too.. he calls the police commissioner and speaks to him about the incident..

He suddenly remembers astha's behaviour kind of changed.. he gets up and goes to astha's room to speak to her..

"Astha.. Astha.." karan looks for astha in her room but he cant find her anywhere...

He sees astha from the window.. she takes her car and drives away.. Karan sees this and wonders where she is going at this time of the night..

Astha reaches the hospital and goes into shloks room

Sarita is not there.. she goes near shlok and sits there.. he is sleeping.. she hold his hand as tears roll out of her eyes

Shlok wakes up and sees astha " Astha what are u doing here at this time? He questions her.."

"why did u do this shlok?" astha questions

Shlok softly says " Astha I am sorry that u lost everyone because of me.. your father and I am responsible forur mothers condition too.. but now I dint want u to lose karan too.. u have all the right to this happiness..u should marry again and be happy.. I came here for my work and I really had no idea that u were here in karans house.. I know that I had been a jerk in the past and I deserve all this.. but whatever I did to u was in ignorance.. I was blinded by my dads love and my own ego and ended up hurting u for no fault of urs.."

" I think u must go now astha.. if karan dint find u at home then he might doubt u.. go asths go home"

Astha gets up and slowly walks away..

As astha goes away.. sarita sees her going..
