'I'm No Angel' is one classy episode, as far as I am concerned. Only three episodes into this season, I am thoroughly enjoying the plot and that being said, I couldn't not write a review for this week as well. There wasn't a dull moment in this episode for me, even though Cas's condition in a lot of scenes was highly pitiable. The humor and that extremely naive look on Castiel's face sorta held everything together.

Castiel is now one hundred percent human. So, he feels hungry, can't get accustomed to urinating so frequently and stares at women's breasts. Cas was an oddball even as an angel, but as a human, I am telling you, he's a riot. Bar the moments in which he's hungry and homeless and eventually stabbed at the end by the lady he gave his virginity to, Castiel had me smiling throughout the episode. The change of events and the dramatic transformation of species for Castiel was really well written and equally well enacted.
This is one of Misha Collins' best episodes in the show. And before I move on from Cas's subject, I will say this - 'did you have protection?' 'I had my angel blade.' is more epic than words can describe and no, I have not laughed as much as I did at that in a long time. 🤣

In the matter of the Winchesters, I see that Sam's feeling really good and he'll feel just as bad, maybe even worse when he finds out Zeke, the angel is giving him booster shots from inside. Speaking of, Dean's screwed. He looked absolutely torn even as he looked from a dead Cas to a passed out Sam at April's house. And eventually, he was faced with the choice between Sam and Cas. 😳 When he told Cas couldn't stay there, that hit and it got sore.

Now, I have a couple of questions in my mind about the episode.

1. Would they like, never let a female character be positive for more than ten minutes?

2. The conversation that Cas had with a woman at the church - the lady had quite the point a lot of people have made to me. 'You've gotta believe in something stronger than you.' What's your take?

This episode totally belonged to Castiel.
Cass is a human, he bleeds, he feels hungry and has the need to pee.
There were many instances were i quite literally was ROFLing.

Do you ever tire of urinating? I'll never get used to it."

^^ Epic 🤣🤣

And the protection one you mention too was classic!!🤣
But I cant do without mentioning

"I read Pie,' the rest is just blah blah blah."

^^ That's Dean Winchester for you with a Pie 😆
Sam, well he was in an on and off angel mode, and I need to say the change in the body language of Sammy to Zeke kudos to Jared and also to Misha for actually telling all those lines with Cass's poker face. I say it again and again that SPN has few of the best actors i have known.
And there is Dean, that guy has been making really pretty tough decision these days and with absolutely no one to talk to about it.

This episode was thoroughly enjoyable on whole.

And your questions,
1. haha thats so true, a female character turns out to be negative, and/ or end up dead . But talking the fact that there aren't TOO many female characters whom I have really liked in the show * No Charlie does not count' I am happy with my all boys team :P

2. Now this is and interesting question and honestly it depends on person to person. Personally I do believe in a power stronger than me , and my answer is the same as the lady 'faith' . It gives me hope, hope that things will be alright, and I feel that hope and that believe is important if not for anything but for my mental satisfaction that things can never go too wrong.

P.S Today's episode for some reason reminded me of a short story I have read called ' What Men Live By' by Leo Tolstoy . Its a really nice story and ironically it also deals with a fallen Angel.

P.P.S Charlie is there in the next episode so I take for granted that it would be good too :P

In one way This episode was Totally Rocking..it had stamp of Cas everywhere and you could really FEEL for Cas in many scenes 😆
and yeah i agree kitty just 3 eps yet and hey here i am full of conflicting emotions 😆 and THAT's the signal that SPN is on a rocking route to me 😆

Things i liked :

every Scene with Cas...need to say more??😃

Things bothering me :
Sam is all happy and feels fit ... ONLY till he is ignorant of zeke
Dean is so buying into "feel good" show of sam when in reality it's all a make believe world around sam.

Things I couldn't digest

But Canon wise ONE of the BIGGEST doubts i have is

HOW can an angel and a demon stay in a room together?? 😕whenever Sam encounters Crowley now it's like Zeke interacting with Crowley right??😕 remember S2-4 there was this thought that an angel when in a same room as a demon the demon's power is drained or they each other cancel out...🤔

Cas was as good as dead once April sticked that sword right??😕 then how come Zeke could bring back cas from death?? and if he has the ability to bring back people from dead why is he acting in all slo mo in curing Sam??😡

and somehow i can't digest the 'idea' behind the Reason Zeke gave when He asked Dean to not let cas stay on.. buying it anyone here??

Why am i getting strong signal that Zeke is up to something?? cause many haven't noticed Dean is pretty much alone now that Cas can't be in person beside him??

And hey Is it only me... or Dean is kinda getting "addicted" to Zeke's power ??? i mean it's exactly like S4 Sam was addicted to DB and in the course he lied here also Dean is invoking zeke at his will and blatantly lying. It's a slippery road Boss isn't it??😳

and already in 3 episode 3-4 times Zeke has defied dean's condition and has come out sans all Important or emergency situations... at his will... so to say😡

I had the same question in mind. But Sam didn't die. The trials damaged him and as it is, his soul was assaulted in the pit. So, I am guessing that they are going the there-are-things-worse-that-death way. Hence, it is easier for a almost fallen angel to bring a totally fallen angel back from the dead than heal the damage that's been done to Sam completely.

Even I think the same, Sam was damaged beyond repair, particularly from the inside. Thus it was easier for him to bring back Cas than to bring back Sam.

yeah that's there already Sam's soul was in shreds when he went in to these trials
But didn't cas say Sam is beyond healing even by himself?? does that mean Zeke has more powers than Cas?? cos Zeke contends he can heal Sam 🤔
Besides , How can an angel Bring back some one from dead , some one he/she not possessing??
isn't it like God act??
more Importantly cheapening the death itself?? on the one hand Death roams around having teh air of invincibility and being an ultimate truth blah blah and on the other hand any one can revive dead people 😕

yes sam is hurt in ways worse STILL when Cas said even he can't heal him how could zeke??😕
mind you Cas was briefly self-professed god , raised a mutiny singlehandedly etc etc

You have good questions, there. But sadly, I am not the creator of this plot. 😛 Also, I never delved that deep into theories, you know? Besides, the Winchesters don't give a shit about how you can't come from the dead, you know that.

Thank You Kid
who said you are?? 😕
that isn't deep at all!! you have got a horseman roaming around saying how we all are perishable ...
yet As Death said "Winchesters" keep throwing spanners at the natural order and Now Zeke joined them Great!! if taking and giving life is so easy and can be done by any celestial being then what's God doing?? playing poker?? 🤔
