FF: Unspoken part 31

Khushi was getting extremely worn out by standing on her feet for so long. She found it creepy that Surya sat on a throne like chair and just stared at her with a frown. Arnav's chair looks much prettier,' she couldn't help but note and even felt like laughing for thinking that thought in such an intense moment.

What was he - Surya - waiting for anyways? Shouldn't he have made a decision on what to do with her? These questions ran through Khushi's mind and they were answered when she heard the loud voice of her father and her heart swelled upon seeing her mother; trying to make a run for her but Shashi gripped her wrist and pulled her back.

"You can't go to her Garima," he spoke to his wife then turned his attention to Khushi, "You're no longer our daughter. It was better to think that perhaps you were dead. But with what you've done...you can consider yourself stray. You're not our daughter," he repeated and Garima shook her head agonizingly and tried to pull away from his hold but it was only growing tighter.

Khushi didn't know if she could handle any more pain. Physical or emotional. The side of her head that she'd hit against the wall was starting to give her a relentless throb from within; her wrists were stinging from the rough pulls at them and now her heart was burning more than she could bear. Her father disowned her. He said it himself; she could consider herself an orphan.

She didn't know what got to her but she just fell to the floor crying. "What did I do?" She shrieked at him with wide eyes that didn't hesitate to spill the torturous tears that were building up. "I ran away because of you!"

His face changed to a shocked one and he glanced once at Surya before turning back to her. He pushed Garima aside and strode towards her, grabbing her chin and tilting it up so she was looking him in the eyes. "What did I do?! Don't shamelessly blame me!"

She slapped his hand away and stumbled back a bit as she tried to get up. "What didn't you do? You didn't do anything for me as a father! You were always so mean to me! Have you ever seen Surya sahab yell at his daughter? I've never! But you've openly yelled at me in front of others! And then...when you weren't angry, you were just silent. If it wasn't for my mother, I swear to God I wouldn't mind to think myself an orphan! I never had a father to start with!"

Garima didn't care of what he'd do, she ran to her daughter and held her in a secure embrace but Khushi's eyes never moved from her father. She continued to stare until she was the victorious one and he was the first to look away. Shame finally got to him, albeit too late. She never did plan to go back to them but now it was certain.

She finally hugged her mother back and whispered for her to stop her cries. Garima pulled away and had a helpless expression on her face. "I did what you told me to do in the letter. I told them that perhaps you were dead. People were paying their condolences to me and it killed me even more because I didn't know if you even were alive. What if something were to happen to you?"

Khushi thought of how she did come close to death in the beginning. Her thoughts then moved to Arnav's initial beastly side and it all made her release a sort of relieving sigh. He might have been a beast but he saved her. He might have been a beast but he gave her shelter. He might have been a beast but this very beast let his public appearance fall in order to show her his love for her. He was no longer a beast. He was a lover. He gave her a home. He gave her security. He have her a new family that loved her so much. He gave her everything that she most definitely wouldn't have gotten if she got married to one of her own. For that, she couldn't be sorry for her actions.

She was jerked out of her thoughts at the sound of loud voices. She stepped back from her mother as she looked towards the grand double door entrance and her whole world illuminated when she saw Arnav marching in with his soldiers behind him.

Surya immediately stood up and stared confoundedly at all these large men coming right at him.

Akash took Khushi's forearm and made her stand next to him by a pillar and they watched Arnav go right for the kill as he grabbed Surya's neck and pushed him back until he hit a wall.

"You have no idea how much my heart is boiling right now. I'm finally looking into the eyes of my father's killer," Arnav curled his lips in rage as he spoke through gritted teeth.

Surya's eyes widened and then he started roughly shaking his head. "I didn't," he managed to enunciate before Arnav's fingers dug into his neck even more making his prey's eyes roll into his head.

Arnav was ripped away by a man who stood securely in front of Surya. "MOVE AWAY!" He yelled and was just about to attack him when he felt Khushi's little hands around his arm. "Arnav!" She shook her head at him when he looked down. "He's...my father," it pained her to say it but it was still the truth after all.

His expression fell and he glanced back at Shashi. He didn't know what suddenly happened but Khushi was being yanked away from him. He caught onto her wrist last second and stared eye to eye with her father who had a death grip around her arm.

"Let. Go!" Arnav demanded but he didn't. Seeing that it wasn't going to be done peacefully, he gave an apologetic look to Khushi before knocking out Shashi and pulling her behind him.

She looked back once over her shoulder and her heart expanded with such pride and gratitude she could barely contain herself. She felt safe again. She had her brothers behind her - to watch her back, and then she had her main pillar in her life who was shielding her from any harm. If there was ever even a single atom of doubt that she belonged in Amit Sravna before, it was all wiped away with reassurance that that was her true home.

A trail of profanities erupted between Arnav and Shashi and as much as Khushi kept tugging on the back of his kameez to make him stop, he wasn't paying any heed to her. She rubbed her temple as the loud voices were striking her already agonizing headache. Her breathing came up short when she saw a bunch of Surya's men come inside and stand all around the room.

She helplessly looked at her mother who was desperately crying herself. Khushi turned a bit and put a hand on Akash's arm to steady herself. "Akash..." she murmured but her knees buckled and she fell to the floor, barely unable to keep her eyes open.

"Khushi!" Her mother wailed and ran to her and Arnav looked behind him to see the sight before his eyes. "Khushi!" He shrieked in horror - afraid for her life and his baby's life - and placed her head in the crook of his arm. Garima's tears stopped for a moment as she couldn't understand what was going on. Why was Arnav holding her like that?

Passing her head to Akash, Arnav stood up and paused a second because he knew if he took another step then it wouldn't do anyone in the room any good. But his hands were trembling and years of built up rage was finally being let out.

"SURYA!" He charged with full force but before he could even step into the same circle as the man, another force knocked him down. Thus the uproar started. Unable to handle having their laird being beaten to pulp, the Amit Sravnan men went for defense.

Garima started slapping her forehead as she cried for help. She ran to Surya and begged before him. "Surya tell them to stop! Please tell them to stop!"

"Garima!" His eyes widened in disbelief at her. "He would have killed me!"

"There's going to be more dead people now if you don't stop it!" She wailed and he looked away but she wasn't going to take it. She grabbed his chin and roughly turned it towards her. She was going to bring up a secret that no one in her life knew and it was going to tear relationships apart, but she would do anything to prevent a fight from turning into a full blown out war.

"For the sake of your daughter, stop this!" Her voice trembled and he confusedly furrowed his eyebrows. "Don't be stupid and bring Rani into this!" He meant his own daughter and couldn't understand why she would even bring her up. She wasn't even in the room!

"No." She took a deep breath though it was going to do her no good. "I mean our daughter. Khushi."

Every muscle in his face froze and he incredulously stared at Garima with wide eyes. It couldn't be. Khushi was the result of that unfaithful night so many years ago? His head hurt from the sudden revelation. "Khushi?" He asked breathlessly and she nodded her head with tears wetting her face. She finally spat out the truth that she'd kept to herself for the past 23 years.

Surya looked disheveled but he had to do what Garima ordered - he had to stop the fight for the sake of his daughter. "BAS KARO! Sadasyans! Stop!" He yelled with the most authoritative and dangerous tone he had and it worked. Everyone froze.

"Move the hell away!" He bellowed at his men and almost simultaneously, they all did. No fighting was going to solve any problems. A big one seemed to be the misconception that he killed Arun and he needed to make that clear to Arnav that that wasn't the case.

Arnav lightly pressed his hand to his bloody lips and sore face; that wasn't going to look good the next morning.

"Arnav speak to me properly. I want to talk to you - not fight you." Surya spoke in a calm voice while Arnav shook his head and shouted, "This isn't a negotiation! This is revenge!"

"Revenge for what?" Suyra matched his tone to Arnav. "You think I killed Arun and that accusation has been eating at my heart for the past five years! I did not kill him!"

"Don't lie to me! You were his enemy! You hated his very existence so you wiped him off this damned world!"

"I WAS NOT HIS ENEMY! What do you know? You were a child when we had our problems! They were problems, complications, but that didn't mean that we were sworn enemies! I admit, I was the bad one. Arun always wanted peace and I gave him a hard time but I swear on my daughters' heads that I never killed him."

"I don't give a damn about your daughters!" Arnav yelled and Surya cocked an eyebrow. "Don't you? Because you were defending her just minutes ago."

Arnav's narrowed his eyes for a second before realization dawned and he looked back to see Khushi by the wall, on the floor by a standing Akash. He saw her lips quiver as she pulled her knees to her chest and dug her face in her hands in shame. Her very identity was a lie her entire life. Her shoulders shook as she silently sobbed and the only comfort she got was from Akash who kneeled by her and ran a hand over her head.

"I knew it..." He heard a voice and followed it and found it coming from Shashi who was slowly shaking his head. "I knew it didn't make sense. It couldn't have. We lost every single unborn child of ours and then miraculously, one lived. I knew it. You are the biggest bitch I've come across Garima! And I've been taking care of your bas***d child all this time!"

Arnav was about to move forward to show him the consequence of calling Khushi a bas***d but it seemed Surya was quicker than him this time. The sound of a tight slap reverberated in the grand foyer as Surya's fingerprints quickly stained Shashi's face. "Whatever she is, she's my daughter. You haven't lost anything since you never cared about her but now, the decision of what to do with her lies solely in my hands. Get lost. I don't want to see your face around here again."

Overwhelmed with emotion, Shashi didn't know what more to say. He was deeply hurt even though he always suspected that something wasn't right. He glanced one last time at Garima. "And you," he pointed at her. "I never want to see your face. You're free from me. Do whatever you want. Just don't ever come around me."

His footsteps in the silence of the room were painful to hear under the circumstances. Arnav released a heavy sigh. His head snapped up when he heard an interesting question that made his pride come forefront.

"What is Khushi to you anyways?" Surya asked.

"My wife," Arnav declared very clearly and threw another shocker towards anyone who wasn't aware of that fact.

Surya looked down then smiled. Arnav curiously watched the odd man. "Nothing is funny here," he spat when he was getting annoyed of the secret smile.

"No it is, actually. When we were just teenagers, Arun and I talked about how our children would get married - to strengthen our bond. You can call it coincidence that it turned out this way, but I think it was meant to be."

Arnav silently listened to the words coming out of his mouth.

Surya lifted his head as he was pulled back into reality and looked sadly into Arnav's eyes. "We were the best of friends. I truly considered him my brother but my stupidity got in the way. We had several years of constant issues and to date, I regret everything I did that pulled me away from him. I wish your father was alive so he could hear what I'm saying because it's the truth." He nodded his head in the end and looked away as he blinked away the tears. He had already spent countless times in memory of Arun but his regretful feelings were always silent emotions that he never voiced to anyone.

"Well...if not you, then someone from Sadasya killed him."

"Arnav," he heard his name and looked back towards the entrance to see Dev and an unfamiliar man walking next to him. "Chacha?"

"I should have showed up much earlier but I was stopped on the way," he explained as he walked closer to the front. He made eye contact with Surya and merely gave him a head nod. "This is Sanjay," he glanced at the man next to him. "He explained some things that have put me in a true state of shock..."

His eyes darted to Surya and then back at Arnav. "We've been holding the wrong person under accusation this whole time. You've been uselessly tiring yourself out on hating Surya this entire time. He never killed Arun."

Arnav swallowed the lump in his throat. Even though Surya kept promising that he didn't kill his father, there was still some doubt in him. But now to have Dev confirm it...he was scared for the truth.

"Then who did it?" Arnav asked hoarsely because of his dry throat. He saw from his peripheral vision how Surya took a step forward and was just as eager for the answer as he was.

"It was one of our own people...It was Chatur."

Hi all! I've been so impatient to post this part! I've actually had it written for a few days now. So hope this reached your standards otherwise...I'm gonna run and hide in a cave!! lol.

So just a head's up, this story is coming to an end. As you can tell, Arnav knows about Chatur and next part will include the much awaited part, even though this was also an pretty anticipated part. ahha. OH BTW, how was the shocking secret? That Khushi is ACTUALLY Surya's daughter? lol. Got you all again! ahahaha. 😳

Ok so I'll save my huge thank you until the last part. Next part will be the last and then there'll be an epilogue so bare with me! :D P.s. I will not leave Sonam hanging. She'll come to know about her disgusting husband and even come to know about something shocking that's been kept a secret from her this entire time. *sigh* What an apt tiltle I've chosen for this story. lol.

Awesome song that fit this part is Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. 😉 Take care my beautiful readers! 😃

Wow absolutely amazing and mind blowing update,

This is the reason why I love you as a writer and I love reading your stories as you are a genius at giving twists in any story.

The update was so intense, very gripping yet very intriguing.

I can't believe Khushi is surya's daughter, I'm glad in a way as Shashi sounds like a pathetic man.

So finally Arnav has found out who killed his dad and I'm glad Sanjay was the one that finally disclosed the truth, will he also tell Arnav that it was vijay that shot him.

The update was a brilliant and a fantastic read,

I can't believe this awesome story is ending so soon, such a shame.

Thanks for the PM,

Eagerly waiting for the next part xx
