I give full marks to CVs/Ekta for giving us a complex character Jalal. I have enjoyed the journey Jalal has taken so far. His character has grown over time, just like one would expect a normal being to grow with experience. He started his journey before and after Jodha with full on false pride. As he understood Jodha and her family better, his perception about them has changed. We as audience can see that and only feel respect for the character. I wish I could say even 5% of that about Jodha, don't ask me why I chose 5% (because I just did). She started with a GHRINA, false pride, self-righteous journey and to most extent remains the same. May be I chose 5% because to some extent her GHRINA has reduced.
Jalal's enemy MP also called him "Shreshth Yodha"! When MP arrived at Amer, he was also full on hatred mode for Jalal. MP still considers Jalal as his enemy, only now he has gained respect for his enemy. MP is amazed as to how Jalal fearlessly gets on his pets back and does the right thing to calm it down. Everyone understood how much Jalal cares for animals, hope Jodha did too. His behavior with kids is also admirable and this one even Jodha appreciates. BD and Maansingh also admitted that Jalal is not as bad as they have heard. They agree that people spread false truth about him. The thing that amazes me is that no matter who it is, Jalal seems to win everyone of them over. Its rare to see so many people getting attracted to someone. It only happens when that person has a pure heart and soul. The false news about him is because of some people using his name incorrectly. This is something that Jalal has learnt and will certainly remedy it. As we all have learned from history and come to respect Jalal, the Akbar. The only sad part is that he has been able to win everyones heart but Jodha, how sad is that? I know she is changing, but if you ask me it is slower than a tortise.
Jodha on the other hand possess numerous outer qualities - shamshee baazi, teer baazi, shatranj, dialog baazi, singing, cooking, etc. I have very rarely been impressed by her inner qualities, her ego and pride hides those off or make me not appreciate them. Its only Jalal who inspite of all her rude comments apprecaites her outer and inner qualities. He never fails to praise and most of the times it is very genuine and heart felt. I wonder how long he will entertain the kid/brat in Jodha. I would love to see him lose it like he did after suicide. I do NOT think Jodha deserves so much patience and understanding from Jalal.
The scene where Jalal eagerly awaits Jodha entry was so heartfelt. Jalal has no hesitation in admitting to Mynavati that he is waiting for Jodha. Everyone understands his eagerness in seeing Jodha as it tells him that Jodha not only accepted Jalal's gift but set aside her dislike for the color because Jalal likes the color. I give Jodha some marks for showing some consideration for Jalal's feelings. Jalal is yet again amazed that his begum who had declined the green color (chose to go to Amer instead of wearing green color) decides to wear it today. Sukanya teases Jodha by asking her the reason for this change in color choice. Jalal AGAIN without any hesistation, very confidently answers the question. She wore it because it was his favorite color and that he liked it most on her. A big hug to you buddy for answering that and NOT allowing Jodha to say anything. A small hug to you Jodha for keeping you mouth 'MUM'. Jalal deep inside wants his begum to accpet him and the marriage completely. This was the first test that Jodha passed, I am sure he will keep testing her more.
Precap: Jodha looks cute in the shenshah avatar, wish she smiled a bit. It looks like Jodha's family is worried about Jalal's safety and Jodha is asking Jalal to leave for Agra. Not because she is worried about Jalal mind you, because she is worried for her parents. No wonder Jalal is mad in rage!
