You know what…it's about time that everyone stops playing the freaking martyr and stand up for what they want and deserve… I'm fed up of Angad being the constantly moping Devdas, unwilling to fight for his love, especially now that she knows the truth, And of Kripa being the biggest denial queen in the world, Prithvi coming in a close second for that title. 😡 😡
Anyways, onto my take on the episode…
It was an episode full of denial…denial of emotions, denial of revelations, denial of self truths….
Angad, with a light in his eyes grabbing Kripa's hands (hopefully thinking that they can walk hand in hand into the future) only to get the very breathe knocked out of him by her stating that she is standing by him, but only for the show not for life… and his incomprehension of why she is pulling away...
We got to see a bit of the old, stubborn Angad when he angrily asked her "Kya humare pyaar junoon Tha"
Kripa totally contradicts herself …she doesn't know in which direction to turn: she tells Angad that their love is like the stars in the sky…sometimes you see it sometimes you don't…but it is always there, and then she does an about turn by saying that she is marrying Prithvi…just for Prithvi's sake…because he has always been there and has done so much for her...She then says that she only wants to see him happy…LADY HOW CAN HE BE HAPPY IF YOU'RE MARRYING SOMEONE ELSE!!! 😡 😡 (Mod's, sorry for the use of caps)
She conveniently forgets how much Angad has done, how he has ruined himself in atonement for his sins, all she can see is Prithvi's support, and her obligation to Prihvi surpasses her love for Angad…I'm sorry but I just can't swallow that load of rubbish. 😕 🤢
The rehearsal scene was so intense, I swear my t.v. set was on fire. The dialogs, the intense staring into one another's eyes, the single tear falling from Angad's eyes….the A.K.E.C. during the final song rehearsal…the entire thing was absolutely brilliant…And once they stare into each other's eyes, the whole world around them fades away… 😳 😳
To me, between the intensity of the song rehearsal there was a special tenderness to it...that clearly portrayed the pureness and tenderness of their love…We have seen the violence and obsession in their love (From Angad), the happiness in love, the fieryness of their love…today I feel we got o see the tender side of it.
When the director yelled Cut, they were still locked in each others gaze….reminded me of the Goa shoot…when they were filming for the Rabba Rabba video…same gazing, same intensity, same reluctance to leave each others arms.
Prithvi is living in a fools paradise…he stands there seeing the intensity of Angad and Kripa's emotions…he is pained by it, he is uncomfortable by it…yet he closes his eyes and ignores it….Dear, Dear, Boy…you will turn out to be a bitter man should you marry someone who you know will never fully be yours…and along with Kripa, it will be your mistake because you chose to ignore what was blatantly clear to your eyes.
Josh…Like I said yesterday…Josh has a permanent place in my heart….he is the only one who can see how both Angad and Kripa are in pain being apart from one another…and he is valiantly trying to champion their love to the fore so that they can be happy again. His dialogues were brilliant…him saying that Kripa lives by her emotions, so if she's still living then it's her love for Angad that's keeping her alive.
He is trying so hard to get Angad and Kripa together, that it boggles the mind as to why Angad can't get a portion of Josh's faith in his love for Kripa, that he can't get a portion of Josh's gumption in the fight to win back his lady love.
Most memorable lines for me:
Angad: "Meri kaamyaabi me hi tumhaari muskurahat hai, aur tumhari muskurahat me, Meri Khusi"
Angad: "Jaise suraj se roshni, aur pholo se ghusboo judaa nahi hosakti, vaise meri zehen tumhari yaad nahi hosakti"
Josh: "…Lekin jab tak tum samjho, aise na ho ke bohot dher hajaye"
