New TOI article On Gurmeet

At age nine, when Debina Bonnerjee visited Khajuraho with her parents, she only recollects clicking pictures in different dance poses. Little did she know then that many years later, she would visit the place again to rehearse dance steps, this time with her husband actor Gurmeet Choudhary.

This popular TV couple is going to be a part of Nach Baliye Season 6, that promises to give celebrity couples a chance to rekindle their physical intimacy and passion through dance. No wonder Khajuraho became the ideal place for this jodi to get into the dance mode.

Debina says, "As a kid, I hardly knew the significance of Khajuraho. But later, when I read more about it, I wanted to go back. In fact, for the past few years, I had been telling my husband that we should go there. We finally did."

For Gurmeet, the two days in Khajuraho was a celebration of love. Is the bold theme of the show making them apprehensive, given that millions will be watching? "We did wonder how our families would react, but then we are both actors and dance is a form of art. Besides, we are a married couple and are going to give this our 200%," he smiles.
Nach Baliye 6 launches on November 9 and airs Saturday-Sunday at 9 pm on Star Plus.
