Part 19

Arnav leaned over to Khushi but stopped when he heard Anjali call out for Khushi.Khushi giggled and pushed him.She ran out of the stall room and went back to where she was sitting before.She glanced back to see Arnav just gaze at her and blushed.The ladies didn't seem to notice Arnav and continued their selections.They made Khushi try on the outfits which pretty much took up the whole day.Sadly after the encounter in the stall room,Khushi couldn't seem to find Arnav anywhere.Last she had seen him,he was on the phone.'Probably business' thought Khushi.After the shopping,the ladies returned back to Raizada Mansion by 9:00 pm.Everybody retired to their rooms except for Anjali.Khushi was in her room when she felt thirsty.She went down to the kitchen.The lights were turned off.Khushi filled up a glass of water and drank it.Putting it back in it's place,she sighed.Suddenly she was turned around and gently pushed against the counter.Khushi held the arms that held her waist.She raised her eyes to meet Arnav's.He smirked.Khushi smiled.

She trailed a finger down his cheek "Seems like you can't stay away from me for even a few hours"

"A few hours is too long..staying with you is like forever" said Arnav pulling her closer.

"Arnav..what if someone sees us" said Khushi a bit worried and looking around.

Arnav opened his mouth to say something but stopped seeing the lights turned on.The couple turned and saw Priya and Nani standing at the entrance looking at them.Priya crossed her arms against her chest and turned to Nani "So Nani..what should we do with this couple?"

"I think we ladies should move into the AR guesthouse" replied Nani.

Arnav glared at them.Anjali arrived."Anjali,can you get our stuff" Anjali nodded and left.

"What's going on" asked Arnav confused.

"Well..we ladies had already planned that we would shift into the AR guesthouse for the next three days.The family already knows about it" answered Nani.

Anjali arrived with the bags.They were small since it was only for three days "Let's go" said Anjali.

Nani and Priya nodded.Priya walked up to Khushi and held her hand.She looked at Arnav who didn't look so happy and smiled "See you tomorrow at the engagement" Then she lead Khushi to the ladies.Khushi turned and and looked at Arnav.She smiled at him and waved.He gave a small smile and waved back.He watched as Khushi disappeared with the ladies and sighed.He went back to his bedroom and lied on it.He wished tomorrow would come quick.

Finally the next morning arrived.Arnav was sitting in the living room with Samrat,who was reading over his client's file.The workers and servants were busy,decorating the house.The engagement was 5:30 pm.Arnav glanced at the clock.It was 1:00 pm.He sighed,impatiently.

Khushi was at AR guesthouse.She had got settled in for the next three days.The ladies just simply loved her.Khushi couldn't felt but feel overwhelmed.She felt like a part of a true family.The ladies kept talking with her non stop,sometimes teasing her,sometimes joking,and sometimes arguing about what looked better.By 5:15,the ladies were all dressed and looking beautiful,especially Khushi,who was the most happiest.

It was 5:45.Arnav was waiting for Khushi impatiently.The party had begun and guests had begun pouring in.The mansion was almost full.Arnav was standing a couple feet away from the entrance,staring keenly at it,hoping Khushi would just arrive.

Samrat nudged Arnav.Arnav looked at Samrat "Waiting for Khushi?"

The boys kept their gaze fixed at the entrance but looked behind,when they felt a nudge.It was Arjun "Waiting for the ladies?"

Samrat and Arnav nodded and asked him "Waiting for mom"

Arjun nodded.They turned their heads,back to the entrance.The ladies finally arrived.Arjun,Arnav,Samrat just kept staring at their ladies.Suddenly they heard Nani announce "Hello ladies and gentlemen..I would like to thank you for coming to my grandson's engagement...now can please Arnav and Khushi come to exchange their rings"

Khushi and Arnav came on the stage.During the shopping from the previous day,Khushi had bought a ring for Arnav.She took the ring and put it on him.

The audience clapped.Arnav smiled at her.He took the ring,he had bought for Khushi and put it on her.He leaned over and kissed her cheek.Khushi blushed and the crowd clapped.Some even whistled.

Khushi's Ring

The couple got off the stage.Khushi was about to walk away but was pulled by Arnav.He took her into a room.He gently pushed her against the door and trapped her,with his arms.He leaned and pecked her lips.Khushi's cheeks turned a hint of light pink,at that small touch "You look so pretty"

Khushi smiled "You look so handsome"

He kissed her cheek and took her lips,in a passionate kiss.Khushi immediately glued herself to him and returned his kiss with equal passion.She stopped when she heard some noise and reluctantly pulled away.Arnav gave a confused look."Arnav..we should be outside with the guests"

Arnav sighed.He knew she wouldn't give up and also knew she was right.He let her go and they went out.Aman came up to the couple and congratulated them.Many other guests came after and congratulated them.Arnav kept his arm around Khushi,throughout it all.Finally the engagement ended and the guests left.The family gathered in the living room "Well now we should go" said Priya looking at the time.

"Yeah..now Chottey..you cannot meet Khushi until the wedding" said Anjali,smiling.

"The wedding's only two days away.You can survive" joked Samrat.Arnav glared and looked at Anjali.

"Yup" answered Anjali.

Samrat's smile fell "What..why?"

Arnav looked at him and said sarcastically "The wedding's only two days away.You can survive" Samrat glared at him.

Finally the girls left and the boys went off to their rooms to go sleep.

The next day was mehendi and haldi.It surprisingly passed by quickly.Countless women came.Khushi got her mehendi done with A in the middle of a heart,in the middle of her palm.The decoration was different than the one she had got from Preety's wedding.She was waiting for it to dry up.Many ladies had got theirs done too.Then they moved to haldi.Countless woman put haldi on her.Khushi laughed joyfully,with the women.Finally the guests left.The day had come to an end.It was 9 pm.Khushi had cleaned up her haldi and mehendi.Her mehendi was pure dark.Maybe even darker than the previous time she had put it on.Khushi changed into her white salwar and lied down on her bed.She closed her but snapped them open when she heard a tap on her window.First she thought it was her imagination but when it happened the second time,she got up and opened her window.She looked down and opened her mouth in shock.Arnav stood below,waving up at her.Khushi smiled seeing him and waved back.Arnav typed on his phone and Khushi got a message.

She looked at him.

Khushi looked at him and sighed and smiled.She closed her window and sneaked her way downstairs to the exit.Everybody was sleeping in their rooms luckily.Khushi got out and looked at Arnav who was leaning against his car.He pushed himself off it and went towards her.Holding her hand,he kissed her cheek.

Khushi blushed and hugged him,feeling his warmth.Breaking apart,he made her sit in the car and drove away "Arnav..where are we going?" asked Khushi.

"For dinner Angel" answered Arnav,smiling.

Arnav took her to an Indian restaurant.They ate dinner there and talked non stop.After about an hour,Arnav dropped her back to the guesthouse "See you tomorrow" said Khushi.

"See you tomorrow..at our wedding" said Arnav kissing her cheek.

Khushi smiled and waved as he left.She went back into the guesthouse and fell asleep,excited for her wedding.

The next day arrived.It was the wedding.Khushi was so excited.The wedding was at a popular,big mandir.It was at 7:00 pm.Khushi was surrounded by the ladies throughout the day,getting help in getting dressed for the most important day of her life.Khushi and the ladies got ready by 6:45 and got into the car.

Arriving at the mandir,Khushi was shocked by how it was so crowded.The Raizadas definitely had many contacts.She couldn't even see Arnav.The ladies helped her in getting out and into the mandir.Finally seeing Arnav,she gave a big smile.He was already sitting at the alter with Arjun and Samrat by his side.

Arnav's Outfit

The ladies helped Khushi sit beside him.She smiled at him and he returned the smile.He held her hand.The priest began chanting mantras.Finally it was time for the couple to do pheres.Nani came up,being the eldest.She tied Khushi's dupatta with Arnav's scarf.The couple stood up and began walking around the fire.They were doing the second round but were stopped when they heard a voice "Stop this wedding"
