Duggus test result not good, doctor suggests he may have to go for an operation. Mansen tells Arjun to go to Ahmadabad and find out everything about Devika Parekh
Mansen tells Arjun that we cannot accept Devikas's conditions, there is a partnership deal and she cannot do things on her own. Yuv tells Arjun that his head has stopped working after Bhoomika's death. Arjun tells them that Devika has promised him higher profits, he repeats what Devika told him that for anything the foundation must be solid. Mansen tells him he cannot accept Devika's conditions, Arjun tells him that he has said Yes to Devika already. Yuv tells Arjun to refuse Devika and if cannot do so, he himself will say No to Devika. Arjun tells them both that he has given his word, and will not go back on it now.
Rahul informs everyone at the Parekh House that they have received their first payment, and all their conditions have been accepted and now they can work on their own as well.
Dr. Chawra comes and joins them as well, but it worried. Everyone wants to know what is he worried about. Dr. informs them that every week he does Duggus tests and this weeks results are not good, Duggu may have to go for an operation, a specialist needs to be consulted.
Duggu hears this and tells them, he wants to stay home and not go to the hospital, he runs to his room. Sitting on the bed, looking at Devika's pic, Duggu pleads with his mother not to send him to hospital. Bhoomi looks at him standing near the door. She goes in and hugs Duggu and convinces him to go for the operation. Duggu tells her that if he is to die, he wants to die in her lap. Bhoomi cries and hugs Duggu.
Arjun is playing with Krishna, Shefali comes there and asks him if she is a good mother, person and friend. Arjun knows what she is getting at but answers her that she is. Shefali then asks him why he refuses to marry her, she tells him he is her soulmate (sukh dukh ka saathi), he should try and understand her feelings. Shefali tells Arjun marry me.
Arjun tells Shefali he only considers her as his friend, and not to keep harping about marriage, otherwise he would be forced to believe that what Bhoomi was telling was right. Shefali just looks at him, dumbfounded. Arjun leaves the room. Shefali thinks now she needs to be alert and control herself. Gurvanti sees Shefali and tells her that Arjun has gone mad refusing to marry a girl like you. Shefali tells Gurvanti that now no one will mention their marriage (A and S) in this house anymore. But she thinks that I will marry Arjun.
Everyone is very sad at the Parekh House, Bhoomi informs every1 that Duggu is ready to go for the operation. Dr. tells them that the cost would be about 50 – 60 lacs. HML says he will sell the house if needed, Bhoomi says she will sell the stakes of Goenka partnership. Doctors tells HML that the house is his "burhapey ki latthi" HML tells him that the house is not his "burhapey ki latthi, but Duggu is" and he can do anything to save Duggu.
Rahul and Bhoomi are alone, Rahul tells Bhoomi that he knows what this Goenka partnership means to her, it will fulfill her aim of taking revenge. Bhoomi tells him that the choice in front of her is of life and aim (zindigi ya maqsad), and she chooses to give priority to Duggus life.

She tells him to forgive her, and she would not trouble him again and never to say that he doubts her and would believe what Bhoomi told him about her as she would not be able to take that. Arjun forgives her.
Mansen comes to see Arjun and tells him to think about what he (Mansen) said regarding Devika's partnership, and if he (Arjun) still feels that he wants to stand by his commitment with Devika then go the Ahmadabad and find out all what he can about Devika Parekh. Arjun agrees to go. Shefali tells Arjun she wants to go with him.
