Probably, the law is to create stigma about suicide. If suicide is not a crime, that means one can legitimately choose to end own life. Then what about mercy killings and assisted deaths? So those also should be legal. What comes next? Who decides the criteria to allow somebody to live or leave to die or to kill ? Isn't it a grey area where law can be misused and ethics get blurred.May be it is simple to keep matters of lfe and death just black and white and hence any attempt to end life(own or another's life) under any circumstance a punishable crime.

I think it is ok . Otherwise there are people who commit crimes and then commit suicide to
Escape punishment whichbcould be more torturous for them. Some people may have the mentality
Of suicide bombers who want to cause damage at the cost of their wn lives. Some peope commit suicide because of lot of debts whichbthey can ot repay and fear the disgrace. Most of the suicides are because of not able to face the disgrace or consequences of some event. Some people like
Sanchi who fake it to get others in trouble.
It has some religious influence also. Life is given by God and no body has the right to take it
Away including yourself. It is a simple enough concept.
