Part 22

firstly somone asked me to give a face to karan.. so i decided to give my choice as karan wahi.. as he is my fav on tv.. sorry if anyone felt bad..

Shlok reaches home and sees the house getting decorated.. He gets surprised

"wats all this?" he asks karan's sister Diya

"what shlok did u forget.. tomorrow is Karan's birthday.. now that so many people are here I thought we should do a celebration.. what do u say shlok.." diya says in happiness

"Oh yeah.. cool it's a good idea.. what are we going to do but..?" Asks shlok

"oh nothing.. just need to pick up a gift for bhai.. and we will cut a cake and toast some champagne and some dance etc.. that's it.. and we have all of karan's friends and collegues coming over too.." diya smiles and says

"oh that's nice.. ok lets go and pick up a gift then.. " shlok tells diya and thinks about picking up something for astha too..

"ok shlok lets go then" diya says

Next morning...

Astha is in her room busy with her laptop as diya enters

"hey astha.. I want to show you something" she says with a smile.. and opens a box which has an expensive watch in it..

Astha looks confused " this watch ??"

"u forgot na.. today is karan bhai's birthday.." diya smiles and questions

Astha bites her teeth in guilt " oh shit.. I forgot.. I can believe I forgot again.. I dint even get a gift for him.. omg I dint even wish him.." astha holds her forehead in anger

"ok I will go and wish him now.. oh god.. he has gone to gurgaon today for some work.. how stupid of me.. ok I will call him"

"ok wait astha.. we have planned to surprise him in the evening.. so when he returns u can wish him.. by then u can get a gift too" says diya with excitement

"ok u are right diya.. I will do that" says astha

Shlok in his room.. he has brought a bouquet and a card for astha.. and he is writing something in a paper

" ok astha u don't want to talk to me that's fine.. but I can write to u atleast.."

Shlokis writes everything he wants to tell in the letter and takes everything and goes to astha's room...

He sees that there is noone there.. slowly he places the flowers and the card on the table.. and then he is looking where to put the letter..

Just then Astha enters and sees shlok..

Shlok turns back to see astha.. astha fumes "what the hell are you doing here?i don't like anyone coming into my room without asking me"

When astha comes closer she sees the card and flowers.. she fumes more " what is all this?"

She picks up everything and puts it into sloks hand.. "just leave shlok she says"

Shlok is bit irritated " I know astha u don't want to talk to me.. but that's fine.. u can atleast read this".. he shows the letter to astha.. "please astha let me speak to u"

Astha takes the flowers in the dustbin and pushes shlok out of the room.. "look shlok. I am bearing you cos u are karans friend.. but I plead u to stay away from me.. neither do I want to talk to u nor hear anything from you..i hope u have understood that and I don't have to repeat it again" astha bangs the door on shloks face in anger..

The letter that shlok left stays on astha's table only.

Shlok is irritated.. he tears away the card in anger and walk away

Shlok reaches his room and sits on the couch and thinks..then he says to himself "hope u atleast read the letter"

Astha is sitting in her room thinking about what happened with shlok today.. she is very upset..

She is in tears and says to herself " y did u come here shlok.. please go away.. I don't want to see you.."

She remembers all the good moments with shlok.. and then she remembers all the bad times.. when he insulted her in the court..

Then she flashes back to that day

Gauri asked astha " what are u going to do now astha?"

" we will leave this city gauri..i don't want to be here.. I don't want to remember anything anymore.." astha said in anger

"but where will u go astha" gauri asked putting her hand on his shoulder

"I dnt know gauri .. life will surely find a way for me..will surely help me put my life back together.."astha said in tears

Then they took everything and took her ill mother and left the house..

While closing the door of her house astha had promised to herself "I will never see u again shlok agnihotri.. I will never forgive you.."

That day she had changed ..

Astha comes out of her thoughts " I need to speak to karan"

Just then she hears some noise and realizes that Karan has come..

Astha wipes off her tears and walks to karans room to talk to him.. she gathers back herself and smile and goes to karans room

Asths goes to karans room.. " hey karan.. many happy returns of the day.." she smiles and karan smiles back

"hey astha .. thanks" he says

"actually karan I need to talk to you.." astha comes forward and is fidgety

"actually astha even I want to talk to you.."karan says with a smile

Just then many people enter and start wishing karan..

Astha thinks that its not the right time and she leaves from there

Shlok notices astha leaving

In the evening all are ready for the birthday and everything is set

Astha is in her room and getting ready.. she is wearing a gorgeous sari and looking beautiful..

She is puuting on her jewellery and remembers that she needs to talk to karan..

She slowly goes to karans room and enters.."karan..."

Karan is wearing his suit and getting ready " how am I looking astha?" he smiles and asks

Astha smiles back and corrects his tie

"u dint give me a gift astha?" karan asks..

Astha gets a confused look and sees karan.. " what do u want karan? I din't get anything for you"

"Astha I have been wanting to ask you something for sometime now.. I don't know how u will react but..." karan starts saying

Just then she hears someone calling karan from down..

Astha turns to see who calls..

"Will you marry me Astha?" suddenly karan asks astha

Astha is taken aback.. she turns back and sees karan.. she is unable to look into his eyes "karan???... what...???" astha is unable to express what she wants to say

Karan comes forward and holds astha arms and makes her sit on the sofa and sits on his kness in front of her

"Astha I know.. there is something that u have inside you that's hurting you.. that's been troubling you for years now.. I swear I don't want to know what it is.. I never tried asking you ever.. but ever since I have known you I like you.. I think you are the person I can spend my entire life with.. tell me astha will u marry me?"

Astha is in tears " Karan... there is something you need to know.."

Karan gets up and turns away " Astha I told u.. I don't want to..."

Astha interrupts " Karan I was married once in my life.."

Karan is stunned.. he turns back and is surprised

" I was married once karan.. and then divorced.. he married me to take his revenge.. cos once I caused a public insult to him and his family.. I loved him a lot karan.. but then he insulted me publically and took his revenge.. and that guy is none other than..."

" Astha ur past means nothing to me.. really believe me it will never come between us ever.." karan interrups and doesn't let astha complete her sentence and take shloks name

Astha still looks confused.." karan.. I have loved once.. and I don't think I can do that again.. I don't know if I can ever fall in love with you.. u don't deserve that.. u deserve to find someone who will love you.."

Karan turns back and says " don't worry about it astha.. it doesn't matter.. I am very sure ur perspective will change one day.. I want to stand by you astha.. help reduce your pain.." " but still the decision is yours.. u can take your time"karan says softly holding astha's arms..

He wipes off astha's tears

Shlok watches everything from outside ...

He thinks to himself teary eyed " say yes astha.. u deserve to have a good life"

Shlok walks away as he sees karan coming out..

Everyone collects down to cut the birthday cake

Karan looks at astha and smiles and then he cuts the cake and everyone celebrates his birthday..

All are happy and then they have good dinner.

Then everyone sits outside and have a drink..

Astha gets up and goes inside to get something from her room.. just then shloks mom sarita comes there and knocks.

Astha turns around to see sarita and looks at her wondering what she wants..

"namaste aunty.. can I help you.. do you need anything?"

Sarita nods a no

Astha starts walking away.. suddenly she holds astha's hand " will u ever be able to forgive shlok?"

Astha looks at Sarita in irritation.. and doesn't answer her..

Astha can I talk to you for two minutes

Astha is disinterested but has no option as she is an elderly woman..

Astha gets into her room and sits with her.."Aunty.. you are very elder to me and I respect you..but.. I don't want to talk about my past.. whatever happened I left it behind and came here.. so please..."

"Astha.. Shlok is not the same person you knew 4 years back.. he regrets what he did to you.. every single day every single moment of his life he thought about you.. his guilt hovers him all the time.."

Astha looks at sarita in a worry

"Astha I don't know if you know but Niranjan Agnihotri an Vard are in jail from 4 years.. and shlok is fighting against them..the fight that you started.. shlok came to know everything about the college and the girls and everything that had been happening..

I don't blame shlok.. many years back his father had done the same thing to me that shlok did to you.. I left shlok becos I was scared for his life.. Niranjan took his custody and brought him up.. his upbringing taught him all the wrong things.. but somewhere he was not as cruel as his father.."

Astha starts to think

"Astha I don't expect that you get back to him in your life.. and neither we have come here to disrupt your life.. Shlok came to delhi for the hearing of his fathers case in the court here...but his destiny made him meet you again.. that might not be just a co incidence.. god surely has other plans.."

Astha says "come with me aunty" .. and takes sarita with her

Astha takes sarita to her mothers room..

"can you see her aunty.. this is my mom.. I haven't heard her speak for 4 years now.. she has no emotions nothing.. I have seen my father pass away before my eyes.. I might forgive your son for what he did for me but how will I forgive him for what he did to my parents.. what was their fault?..."

"no aunty.. I am sorry.. but I cannot forget anything.. I will never forgive shlok.. the way I have to live in this pain for all my life.. hehas to live with his guilt if he really has any all his life too"

Sarita holds astha's shoulder and says

" all I can ask is astha.. talk to him once.. and try to forgive him for his sins.. so that both of you can move on with your lives.. or else you will always be stuck in your past"

And sarita walks away

Astha thinks in anger and walks away..

She walks back to where Karan, Shlok and Diya were sitting and chatting.. She walks upto them in a hurry

"Karan ..." Everyone looks at astha

"Karan u had asked me something in the evening right.."

Karan gets up tensed "Astha..."

"Karan .. u proposed me for marriage right... my answer is YES..." Astha is teary eyed..

Diya is very happy.. "What.. really bro.. oh wow.. am so happy for both of you" she starts dancing

Shlok and astha exchange some looks..

Karan comes forward to Astha " are you sure astha?"

Asths nods in acceptance...

Karan hugs her and says "Thanks.. thank u astha.."

Shlok comes ahead and congratulates both of them and walks away

Diya is super happy " ok bro.. I am going to plan all functions of the marriage.. there will be an engagement, then sangeet, haldi, mehandi and the main day.. wow.. am so excited..so much shopping to do.. I am going to speak to pundit ji right away..."

Diya hugs astha and runs from there to start all the work

Karan asks astha u are alright na?"

Astha smiles and says YES...

Sarita watches everything from a distance

Precap - Astha, karan and shlok in a car part basement and get attacked by some men.. some men are catching all of them and one guy comes with a knife and stabs karan..
